Only the wedding track so far. Even kidnapping here was shown as an accident in the OG where Shiva-Raavi characters were affected, courtesy, Janardhan. But the accident track brought them little closer, Raavi character started looking Shiva’s character in a different light.

Shiva here and the OG Shiva are completely opposite excepting for the immense love for the family and will do anything for them.

OG Shiva is an introvert, hardly speaks, but has anger issues.

It was a pleasure reading such a well written and beautiful analysis Avi. 👏

Your analysis has helped me to see the episode now with few new perspectives.

I want Shiva to do something for Raavi that does not involve doing something for maami. She simply doesn't deserve anything from Shiva, and definitely not a new pair of Kangans. That would be like Shiva swallowing his self respect and degrading himself 😕

I also want Raavi to see how utterly despicable maami and her behavior are. Today she rightly called Shiva out on objectifying her, tomorrow I want her to call maami out in her disgusting behavior.

Not going to lie, this contradictory behavior Shiva exhibits is off-putting. He makes grand gestures sometimes, like pulls her hair back in her sleep, rushes to save her when she is falling from the steps, or holds her hand. But then, the following day he makes statements as if progression never happened in the first place. He continues to hold her aggressively and says statements he definitely should not be saying. This quite honestly turned me off from the show (hence my one week break), but now that I've had time to process it all, I realized that change doesn't happen overnight.

As frustrating as Shiva can be, he is making small steps. During the wedding episode, he didn't even want to hold Raavi's hand. Now that I've had the time to think things through, I personally think seeing pendulum Shiva is better. It is more realistic. If he changed overnight (like Rishita did), we would all be skeptical and speechless--even Raavi wouldn't believe him. But we're noticing the subtle changes, from the way he looks at her to the way he acts when she is in danger.

That's what I have been telling no? That he still hasn't changed, that nothing has changed between Shiva and Raavi. No, not yet. But everybody here thinks that he has a special place in his heart. No That is not true.

And the small steps you are talking about, I know and I understand that. But with every step that he takes forward, he takes 10 steps back. And who's the one getting hurt the most? Raavi. And is it her fault? No.

I don't see a large amount of progress. He can't even respect his wife. Is that too much to ask for? Raavi's been there around him since they were kids and he still hasn't noticed that Raavi is not like Maami, that Raavi should not be subjected to his hatred. So no, I don't see any progress, if some progress happens, he's quick enough to regress.

I ain't asking him to change, neither I want everything to be good and all happy. That would be unrealistic. All I want is for him to respect Raavi, realize that she is a human who has feelings that he's always hurting for some reason or the other. It's like that kidnapping misunderstanding. I was told that Raavi misjudged him and that she shouldn't have done that. But hey, didn't Shiva give her a reason to do that? He remained silent and let her accuse him, misunderstand him. Why?

This is what concerns me the most. He might care for her but he needs to show her that he cares, and stop changing his statements like after a few hours.

Everything so far was proven meaningless to me because he used her the way he did and then just left her. Can Raavi trust him after this? After her husband so casually put her on the line?

There is a track in the OG where Shiva is the only one stands up for Raavi when she does something without anybody the family knowing about it. He also did not know what she did. Only Anita’s character knew about it but she twisted in and brought Raavi’s mother in and both created a drama. Dhara, Suman and Gautam are very angry at her. Dev, Rishita or Krish could not say anything, but only Shiva defended her, After defending her in front of the family, he probed her in the room, then she disclosed what she did, he was really touched by what she did

Raavi in the OG wanted to buy a gift for Shiva with her own money without asking anybody, so she goes to sell her gold ring😃

At that time both were not in live but started respecting each other.

I so want to see the track in this version also😃 fingers crossed.

I think this post of mine is going to get ignored like some other ones but still, I wanted to say this. Sometimes I think that everybody likes Shiva just because of KD. I recall someone saying that Shiva and KD are the same and all. It may be just me, but yeah, that's how I feel.

What if this was some normal random guy and not KD? Will everybody still favor him? I have doubts.

I admit that KD has a role in making me connect with shiva. His expressions have that power to make me feel for him. The hurt , the angst and the inner turmoil his eyes convey gets to me.

Maybe I couldn't have liked shiva this much if some other actor had played him.

But again, I can't deny the fact even though flawed, he is a layered complex character.he will progress gradually, and that is what I am more interested in watching. I know the CVs have a high chance of messing up the progress, I would like to give them the benefit of doubt at this point.
