Plus, she doesn't market herself as much, unfortunately. But she's such a fine actress- there have been so many scenes I've dreaded, because they seem so cringe on paper. The lamba-lamba lectures, the imitating Raghav scene- such scenes go overboard, but she's consistently delivered with grace.

It blows my mind too, how new she is. She can act circles around several ITV veterans.

Performance wise shivi is better & most importantly consistent than sai though I also like skr. Sai is on & off. But nowadays he is also consistent. He improved in a emotional scene. Comedy scene he needs to improve. Baki most of the audience are female they love AYM. On top of that sai is good with those scenes + He is good looking. So he has become an overnight sensation.

Those preaching scene, most of the time actress tends to be loud but shivi handled those scene pretty well.

Yep, agree with everything. Sai has shown a lot of growth, to his credit. His emotional scenes in earlier episodes, I found them so hard to take seriously. He delivers it much better now. Shivi's been nailing it since much earlier, so less of a growth to track.

And yeah, male lead popularity phenomenon is very much a thing, won't argue that at all. Playing an AYM on a popular TV show is the most sureshot way of acquiring a huge fan following, right from Barun Sobti in IPK to now.

Same! She's got everything working for her- looks, skills, personality, charm. Though I didn't enjoy DMG much as a show, I loved her. I used to watch this one random Disney show she did way back as well. Have watched almost everything she's done ever since, except one show (Saraswatichandra), which I'm currently binging whenever time allows. IMO, best actor on TV right now, no competition, and far outperforms many from Bollywood too.

I agree completely. Both are excellent, but I find her range and consistency both to be better. Also, Pallavi is a much less flamboyant and much more contained character, so she has less 'moments' to shine, it's all a lot more subtle and understated.

Also, 1) Raghav's character has been a bigger selling point for the show and 2) I'd say much more than 80% are women, and this happens in every show- the ML gets hyped so much more. As a result, she's not getting nearly as hyped as she should be.

Her work is honestly perfect. I'm sure she'll get her due, both in this show and after. Such talent is hard to ignore.

Sai has an amazing screen presence and he has made Raghav Rao a cult character.. Pallavi's character has grabbed more eyeballs and attention post marriage.. eventhough Shivangi has been pretty consistent throughout..

For sure. Sai will dominate every frame he is in, and that works out so perfectly for the character.

Also, considering how green they both are, I have huge appreciation for how they play off of each other. It really, really elevates the scenes. Sometimes, you can see actors struggling to one up each other in scenes, especially new ones who are trying to make a mark, but all I get from their scenes is that they just want to make the scenes work.

Of course, no one can speak to offscreen/bts dynamics, but whatever translates on screen is usually electric, with an excellent give and take.

I've seen Beyhadh! Loved both seasons, and uff, what a performer man. I really, really liked Code M too.

Saraswatichandra is such a gorgeous show to watch, I'm about 30 episodes in, and watching it makes me so happy. They're both great Gautam's the only one I've seen her paired opposite, apart from Harshad, who could match the performance. That's one thing that Beyhadh left me a bit eh about, both times around.

But honest to god, Shivangi gives me so many of the same vibes Jennifer did at the beginning of her career, in terms of potential and quality of performance. Can't wait to see her go places.

Yes she has bright future. I have seen all the episodes and till now I haven't found anything not convincing or overacting in her case. I liked her from first two episodes itself, she has that grace, poise, simplicity. She makes unrealistic sequence look convincing, like some of the initial scenes in Deshmukh house. She doesn't go ott.

Last time I tried watching one very popular show as I used to like the ML but the FL's were so terrible at dialogue delivery I stopped watching it, Idk if they have improved now or not. For me FL's acting matters the most to be invested in a show.

Her eyes do the talking, though at times her eye colour looks too grey due to lighting. Only I wish they tone down her makeup as she doesn't need it. She has very clear skin if we go by her reels and interviews. That bronzer & eye makeup should be skipped. Just kajal maskara & a nice lipstick shade is enough.
