Freaking hell! She even tried to ditch his ass first chance she got and he still didn't get it. Pooja should have married Rohan man. She wasn't invisible to him. He understood her quickly, was patient with her, loved her personality, and found her beautiful unlike Raj the superficial douche. Rohan even sang a song singing praises for her beautiful tanned skin. Raj wasn't even ashamed about overlooking her after all the promises he made. Pooja even explained to him how problematic he was and he's just like well I changed my mind so now you are my gf. 🤪

Except the guy had been lied to, and therefore thought he had made those promises to Tina. Pooja wrote to him all those years using Tina's name, and he was completely and reasonably under the impression he was writing to Tina. Before he found out midway through the movie in the church, upon which he immediately looks to correct the situation, he was operating as expected based on the situation presented to him. Pooja lied to him through misrepresentation, writing to him using Tina's name, and she didn't attempt to correct the issue when he came back to India. Using blackmail, she got Tina to cover for her, thus perpetuating the lie. And while Raj was twisting her arm in the second half, she was stiff-arming him into marrying Tina without regard for his feelings. Basically, Pooja is mostly culpable for creating and perpetuating the whole mess.

I don't think you picked up that I was joking in my post. I actually do enjoy this movie and like the Hrithik-Rani pairing. By promises, I meant about Raj saying he will recognize Pooja and everything. He didn't. He completely ignored her simply because Tina was the beautiful one. It's like Pooja said in the movie, that he didn't even think that the girl from the emails, supposedly Tina, could be not so pretty. On top of that he couldn't even be bothered to apologize to Pooja. Raj was superficial. All he could talk about was Tina's beauty.

You cannot deny that Raj used a lot of emotional blackmail and manipulation with Pooja. She may have been stiff-arming him but for Pooja her BFF Tina came before anyone else even the love of her life Raj. Pooja's love for Tina trumped her love for Raj. Her mistake was that she told Tina to go along with the emails thing but if Raj had noticed Pooja the first time around, things may have been different. After that she figured out Tina had fallen in love and she tried to step away for her bestie's sake.
