Chapter 4
"He is fine. Bullet just grazed him. He was downed by the pressure."
"Then why he is not up doctor. When can we expect him to regain consciousness?"
"That's what troubling. Everything seems fine. I cannot think of any reason for it. But if he don't regain consciousness in next 8 to12 hours, then he can lapse into coma and we might need to take him to hospital."
She kept sitting on the side of the bed listening to the background chatter. The tears were flowing like an endless rain and she didn't felt giving justification for those, not even to herself.
"You will be free from this life of captivity."
His words echoed in her mind.
He really thinks that. After all this, after all that we have been through, he still feels that guilt. How can he be aware about everything and still can't see what’s right in front of him.
F - Bhabhi.. I will drop the Doctor and will be waiting downstairs. Please call if u need anything.
Pallavi nodded in a yes and Farhad left the room with doctor leaving behind two unconscious souls. The words spoken hurt a lot. But the unspoken words are the reason for various ruins in the museum of life known as world. Pallavi was staring at one of such future masterpiece.
He thinks he ruined my life. No, he believes he has ruined my life. He believes he is the reason for everything wrong that happened. He believes I will be happy in my life once he is not there. How can he be so wrong?
How the hell can u be so wrong?
She thundered.
What do you think? You can never be wrong because you are 'The Raghav Rao'. You think you are this know it all. Guess what Ghamandi Rao, you are wrong this time. You are not the reason for me being bad in business. You are not the reason for Kaku ruining my family again and again. You are not the reason for my family whom I thought will be my side forever not trusting me over a stranger and you are not the reason for me being thrown out of only place I knew as home. No, you are not the reason. You heard me? You heard me, right? You are not the reason.
Her voice was challenging the thunder of the lightening gracing the night sky outside. And the rage gave way to plight as she dropped to his corner, holding his hand with her head on his shoulder. The thunder of lightening gave way to gentleness of rain.
You are not the reason Raghav. You are not the reason for everything wrong that happened to me. You are not the reason. You know what you are reason for? You were the one who challenged me on every step of my way. You reminded me how to fight. You pushed me to fly high and you respected me when no one else does. Yes, you forced me into this marriage but you were forced too, for your family. The family you longed for ten years. I know the feeling of being alone. I know how it feels to see hate and disgust in the eyes of people who you made your whole world. I know it Raghav. I know it too very well. All that hate. All that blame do let you believe about yourself what you are not. You hear me? You are not the monster you think you are. You are not the one who ruined my life and you are definitely not the one only deserving of hate. And maybe that’s why no matter how much I tried to hate you for all those times. I can't. I myself am not sure how this happened but I saw a future for us. I saw a life with you. A life without burdens of our past. And I saw the fairytale ending for us which I read about in those dark nights of childhood sitting in my room all alone. Yes, I see a future with you Raghav and you can't break my dreams. I won't allow that. I won't allow you to break those. So open your eyes. Open your eyes because if you don't then I will also close mine forever. As I cannot go through all the pain again. You told me you will fill all the colors so that white won't ever haunt me again. You promised me. I cannot go through it. I can't lose you. I won't lose you. I love you. Please don't leave me. Please don't. I lov...
Words. A lot of power is enshrined in them and once spoken can't be taken back. The secrets buried in the darkest corners of her heart had seen the light of day. She was flabbergasted by her own truth. His pain pushed her to accept the truth she herself was not ready to face. Her head turned to his face almost begging for no audience for those words. And his eyes were closed. She sighed. A relief on her face. She got up for a glass of water.
And he opened his eyes.
