That's nearly 65 crore people we are talking about.
Wow you are really must be Lord Almighty that you are able to know what guided each of those persons'choice of vote.
I only know of five people who they voted for and why in 2014. All 5 have voted a different party than the one they voted for in 2009
I voted for the party that linked Adhaar to passport so I didn't have to pay a single penny to the constable as bribe or an agent as commission to get what rightfully belonged to me and it came to my home in month's time just as promised.
My Maid voted for the party that finally got her name registered for gas cylinder and delivered the cylinder to her home
My neighbour voted for the party that did not order demonetisation because he lost 40 percent of his undisclosed black money in paying commissions to bank officials who changed his black money to new currency
I also know about my Parents, they voted Nota because they did not like any of the candidates listed on the ballot box. They are old school types who expected candidate to come to their door and explain what his plans for the constituency was if elected. Since the major parties didn't find them important enough this time to visit they chose Nota as protest.
So I know atleast of 4 people who didnt care about any communal reasons to vote
And I am humble enough to know that of the 65 crore people who vote many have perfectly fine brains and also know how to use them for their own self interest.
Promises and sloganeering and manifestoes, agendas of right-wing development of liberal values etc don't mean anything to them, what matters is their everyday lives. If a party makes their everyday life easy it will get voted to power artistic freedom of expression and social media secularism rants be damned.
And if a party in power makes their everyday life hard it will be voted out, no matter how liberal, secular pro development it is.
