Might be an unpopular opinion, but it somewhat disappointed me as well. The dance by itself between them wasn't bad, but I'd struggle to give it anything more than 6/10 in my book (*ducks and runs away 😆). Or maybe I had greater expectations after reading the WU and felt a bit let down on the actual episode by both Param and Akshita. 😳
Btw FWIW, I thought she did the Holi scene quite well (especially the part when he applied colour) ☺️
You're not alone🤣 See, my rating scale to evaluate all Gul show dance sequences is flawed from the get go, it's called Teri Meri Prem Kahani scale🤣 In IPK, Arnav and Khushi had a dance sequence on the Teri Meri song, and execution-wise, acting-wise, that one is still my most favorite amongst all Gul shows. I know it's not fair at all but it's ALL GUL'S FAULT
The fact that they put some efforts into the lighting, angles, timing, choreography was evident in that scene. It wasn't a perfect dance number but it was better than all her other ones in other shows. I'm a sucker for good cinematography--like, I can even end up loving an ordinary shot or a scene if the execution is well-done. I really, really like the Ishqaan moments we got thanks to the dance sequence (itni feels aayi mujhe kya bataaun) but my biggest issue was the execution which didn't feel very neat to me. I think Param and Akshita did their part well but seemed to me like the technical team didn't put much effort into it so it's still good but not Lord-save-my-ovaries good🤔🤣
