Its not that Mandaar is needed for Raghav to value Pallavi. He is needed to jolt him out of his overconfidence about Pallavi not leaving him. As much as we are Raghvi fans,Raghav ka tareeka to get Pallavi wasn't right and that hasn't been addressed enough in the show. And yes I'm saying that even after all the rona dhona,blaming and trying to salvage Pallu's relationship with D family.

I think I've mentioned this already in another thread but if Mandar's character appears alive,Pallavi's second marriage will be automatically cancelled(I'm guessing that's the law). With both moral and legal obligation, Pallavi will have to return to Mandar no matter how much we hate the D family. Even if she wants to return to Raghav dil se, pehle Mandar ko divorce dena padhega(fake ya real vo toh baad mein pta chalega).

Then we might actually see Raghav fighting to get her back in his life.
