I really loved it, it actually shows insight into the characters and their thought process....
Sai- the dewdrop, pure as anything always
Virat- the layered character, misunderstood at most but has so many layers it is not funny!
shailesh- a man stuck between two dominating women, he is actually a nice person and is ashamed by her daughter's behavior.
vaishali & pakhi- they are the same.... the only difference is that vaishali has the person she loves with her and pakhi well not love but obsession and does not have him....
Sai and Virat are both non-confrontational in front of the family till provoked. they maintain a certain line of decorum and don't make issues out of small situations. For them today it was all about Shailesh and Vaishali, their anniversary!
Pakhi is just a sad human being, she portrays her sorrows on everyone else, a person who will make everyone sad and not enjoy their lives... her thought if i am miserable i will make everyone else miserable!
she has been spoilt rotten by her parents especially her mother. They clash but her mother is her fiercest supporter, will not reprimand her when she is going wrong, her dad does but is overpowered by her mother.
Pakhi and Vaishali spend no moment insulting sai... they constantly taunt her, trying to make everything her fault. Shailesh tries to diffuse the situation, for him they are his guests no matter what the relation to pakhi, and they are being insulted alas he doesn't say much...
Sai does not let the situation escalate, if she wanted she could have given it back to pakhi for not inviting her and trying to show that she wanted to but she did not, she could have said everything pakhi does to torture sai but she didn't and that shows who she is as a person. She respects the fact that she is talking to her elders and is at someone elses house so she must respect them.
Virat is the same, he is firm yet respectful of others and again gives it to pakhi in his straight forward way but does not say much to vaishali since she is elder. he tells pakhi not to escalate the situation and he sees her making an issue out of everything...
I loved how shailesh asked sai about her education and blessed her to become a big doctor, he has no malice against sai. He knows the girl isn't at fault. Vaishali on the other hand supports her daughter in her wrongdoings, it was pakhi who decided to marry samrat and now blames sai for coming between her and virat, but shailesh is well aware of the fact that if anyone is to blame in this entire mess is pakhi and virat, not sai and samrat, those two have done nothing wrong.
Pakhi taunts sai about not doing the household chores, forgetting that this is the same girl that wakes up at 4am to finish her work, Sai never shows-off what she does, why should she degrade her own worth by telling people what she does.
Hindi main kahawat hai apne muh miya mitho! Suits pakhi very well! she will show off always that I have done this, I have done that, look at me and see how caring and wonderful I am but that is what made virat fall for sai..... Sai cares but never shows off! The beauty of sai is she is pure, cannot do any wrong and cannot see any wrong happen, he knows that and it attracted him to her.... He himself sees how she works hard to balance her education and her chores, she doesn't need to say it, they all can see and that is what makes pakhi jealous.

A simple gift turned into a big issue, the issue was not it is expensive, but the fact that SAI gifted the expensive saree was an issue. I have regifted many expensive gifts i have got, my parents have too... I was raised to share, my parents are such that if someone likes something they are wearing, an instance I'll share- my dad was wearing a beautiful tie once and someone complimented it saying it was beautiful, dad took it off and handed it to the person since they saw the beauty of it. Likewise, my mom will give her jewelry as a gift to relatives on their wedding, her untouched expensive sarees as gifts.... These are material, the more you give the more you get.... Life isn't about these things, it is about family, love, relations, and their beauty!
The gift perhaps was not the issue it was the fact that Sai, a girl from a small family has given a gift to the shahnakuli maratha family, their pride lies in the fact that they can give expensive gifts, so someone like sai gifting them a gift makes them fear the loss of their pride...

Her biggest defeat in life was not getting the man she loves... she hated the fact that there is someone better out there who has made him their own, he has in all sense become SAI's and that affects her to the core, so she spends her every moment to show sai in negative light, trying to blind the other person but that does not work, good trumps bad and Sai's clear heart makes her place in the heart of the other like she made her place in virat's heart to the extent that his heart has no place for anyone else, it is only Sai and will only be SAI!!
Coming to Sairat moments-
He was pained to see her upset, the sheer progression he made, apologizing for her insult.. which was neither his nor sai's fault, he knew sai wanted to gift it out of love and he let her, perhaps if he had said no she might have not felt bad but sai knows it wasn't his fault and the nature of pakhi.
she teases him about his zidd of taking her being the reason, it was again so domestic! haan apki wajah se sabh hua hai, maine toh bola tha types....
He holds her wanting to capture the moment forever, making the imprint of the memory in his heart and in his phone so that when he goes on the mission he can look at her and look forward to going back to her.
Their ability to joke about the incident that happened shows how they move on once the matter is over, no grudges and no animosity between them.
he compliments her saree, her look and especially her hair! (man is obsessed with her hair)
he does use aai to make her listen to him, knowing how she is she loves aai to bits and will listen to her the same goes for sai... she uses the tactics aai does to convince virat!
Their banter while taking the pictures, from him wanting her to call him handsome which she knows he is but will never say it out loud, to him lost in her while she takes their pictures together... For him a simple selfie looks like the poster of a romantic film, because they are in it together, that is all that matters to him!
The pain she feels once she finds out he has to go... perhaps will live in the fear of his safety.. she lost her father the same way and she was close to losing him as well... that thought pains her but she also knows that this is his duty his farz, she cannot stop him.. she saw her father the same way keeping his duty above everything, and she sees him the same way...
They say a daughter looks for the qualities of her father in her husband and that is something sai does. Her father was her entire world, and today he has become her entire world. Abba hasn't been replaced she has found someone like her abba who is there for her to love her and care for her!
So she does not stop him but the pain in her heart makes her rush to him and embrace him...
the warmth of that embrace shall last till he comes back and is in front of her eyes and she knows he is absolutely fine. She sinks in his embrace, holding on letting her tears flow. The words for her are insufficient today but that embrace was enough to remind herself and him that nothing will happen to him.
Another interesting observation was that she hugged him on the left side, that is where his heart is... she embraced him to be one with his heart and he was one with hers. When its a platonic hug we generally hug towards the right to protect ourselves but when it is intimate especially with their partner....
It shows what they both feel. They found peace in each other's arms, their hearts one. The peace he finds in that embrace, something he can hold on to forever, perhaps their first realization that they hugged. His heart overwhelmed by her care, she does not stop him but asks him to take care, he sees her love even though she might not have said it herself or perhaps realizes it but he is slowly seeing it.

Perfectly said, love doesn't want change, love just needs the person like they are, not the person they desire, cuz that would just be materialistic to have a person your way . There is no essence in that feeling, and no sparks or curiosity. That is why love is special, cuz it is different. It accepts differences, it also appreciates differences, cuz that is whag makes the other person special .
True,Sai and Virat know and keep a high value for the set of morals they share in their life, which is quite different seeing the environment which they live in. And they knew, it is someone's special day, someone's happiness, so it's their wish how they choose to be happy. But if it was them, they would have stood up, definitely within the line, but they would have.

I liked Shailesh uncle, his moral grounds are intact, and he is aware of the reality well and has accepted the reality as well. He knows, cuz he had given options for his daughter ,ways to his daughter to make her life steady, to give an opportunity to happiness, and he knows that it was his daughter who chose this path, so how could anyone be blamed here. And he could see the genuineness of Sairat , and in general the presence of someone wishing them should matter, not in what way.
And then, Sairatelicious episode. I am happy of this hug, cuz that hug(yeah,previous one🤣) was for someone else's happiness, not for them. It was a celebratory hug, but this is for themselves, this is for them. Their emotion were the cause of this hug. So,this was amazing.

I have regifted many expensive gifts i have got, my parents have too... I was raised to share, my parents are such that if someone likes something they are wearing, an instance I'll share- my dad was wearing a beautiful tie once and someone complimented it saying it was beautiful, dad took it off and handed it to the person since they saw the beauty of it. Likewise, my mom will give her jewelry as a gift to relatives on their wedding, her untouched expensive sarees as gifts.... These are material, the more you give the more you get.... Life isn't about these things, it is about family, love, relations, and their beauty!
The gift perhaps was not the issue it was the fact that Sai, a girl from a small family has given a gift to the shahnakuli maratha family, their pride lies in the fact that they can give expensive gifts, so someone like sai gifting them a gift makes them fear the loss of their pride...
Sai thought about vaishali while gifting the saree, she genuinely wanted her to wear it as she knew it would look good but pride kills, their ego made them do the same. Shailesh himself was ashamed of the behavior of his wife and daughter. When someone gifts you something no matter what it is, you accept it with grace you never know how this might come back to you and bite you....
The fact that they live in a joint family and that gifting a gift together is the due course is also true, i have seen it myself with my bestie who stays with her grandma, parents, siblings and chachas family under one roof, they work as a unit, have their separate lives but when it comes to family functions they will work as a unti. But there are instances when one does more for another family member or friend... That does not affect their family though because they understand sometimes there are certain feelings a person wants to fulfill. So was the case with sai, she saw a beautiful saree untouched in her cupboard and thought some can make it look beautiful by wearing it. She did not think of the price or the worth, that was immaterial to her, what she thought was the happiness it would bring to the other.
Pakhi has the habit of blowing issues out of proportion, for her as she says it is my way or the highway! meri marzi main jo karun, jahan jaaon, jaise jaoon, karun etc etc... but life does not go according to our whims and fancies. Her biggest defeat in life was not getting the man she loves... she hated the fact that there is someone better out there who has made him their own, he has in all sense become SAI's and that affects her to the core, so she spends her every moment to show sai in negative light, trying to blind the other person but that does not work, good trumps bad and Sai's clear heart makes her place in the heart of the other like she made her place in virat's heart to the extent that his heart has no place for anyone else, it is only Sai and will only be SAI!!
Coming to Sairat moments-
He was pained to see her upset, the sheer progression he made, apologizing for her insult.. which was neither his nor sai's fault, he knew sai wanted to gift it out of love and he let her, perhaps if he had said no she might have not felt bad but sai knows it wasn't his fault and the nature of pakhi.
she teases him about his zidd of taking her being the reason, it was again so domestic! haan apki wajah se sabh hua hai, maine toh bola tha types....
He holds her wanting to capture the moment forever, making the imprint of the memory in his heart and in his phone so that when he goes on the mission he can look at her and look forward to going back to her.
Their ability to joke about the incident that happened shows how they move on once the matter is over, no grudges and no animosity between them.
he compliments her saree, her look and especially her hair! (man is obsessed with her hair)
he does use aai to make her listen to him, knowing how she is she loves aai to bits and will listen to her the same goes for sai... she uses the tactics aai does to convince virat!
Their banter while taking the pictures, from him wanting her to call him handsome which she knows he is but will never say it out loud, to him lost in her while she takes their pictures together... For him a simple selfie looks like the poster of a romantic film, because they are in it together, that is all that matters to him!
The pain she feels once she finds out he has to go... perhaps will live in the fear of his safety.. she lost her father the same way and she was close to losing him as well... that thought pains her but she also knows that this is his duty his farz, she cannot stop him.. she saw her father the same way keeping his duty above everything, and she sees him the same way...
They say a daughter looks for the qualities of her father in her husband and that is something sai does. Her father was her entire world, and today he has become her entire world. Abba hasn't been replaced she has found someone like her abba who is there for her to love her and care for her!
So she does not stop him but the pain in her heart makes her rush to him and embrace him...
the warmth of that embrace shall last till he comes back and is in front of her eyes and she knows he is absolutely fine. She sinks in his embrace, holding on letting her tears flow. The words for her are insufficient today but that embrace was enough to remind herself and him that nothing will happen to him.
Another interesting observation was that she hugged him on the left side, that is where his heart is... she embraced him to be one with his heart and he was one with hers. When its a platonic hug we generally hug towards the right to protect ourselves but when it is intimate especially with their partner....
It shows what they both feel. They found peace in each other's arms, their hearts one. The peace he finds in that embrace, something he can hold on to forever, perhaps their first realization that they hugged. His heart overwhelmed by her care, she does not stop him but asks him to take care, he sees her love even though she might not have said it herself or perhaps realizes it but he is slowly seeing it.
That hug will be etched in their memories, the connection of two souls, from his heart to hers and her heart to his........
