Dandiya is the one with the sticks, garba is the one without.

I didn't have garba when I did mine pag phera. Its a fairly simple rasam, your family comes to pick you up from your sasural, you go home, you do chaap (to say you'll always belong to your parents house even though you're married) they pamper you and then your husband comes to pick you up, parents feed him and then you leave with sweets etc to signify that you'll take sweetness back from your maternal home to marital home (at least that's what i was told.. Could someone else clarify?)
