I didn’t know usney gala pakda. 😳😳

His redemption track is proper ..he has literally got too many slaps from Pallavi, her family and mother and Raghav has made many efforts to reunite Pallavi with her family at the cost of his self respect

She should finish her education and find financial independence and move out of Ahir’s house. I’m curious to know what Ahir’s place will look like in Mumbai!

True!! Divorce is not the end. It needs to stop being made into a stigma.

Examples are Saakk and aapki nazron mein . Saakk intially called out Shaurya a lot more. They are doing what they are doing to survive. Art can happen only when it is economically feasible. U cant criticize someone for trying to run their house over selecting proper messaging. Secondly I think Shaurya has always been called out. Only quantitatively the calling out should have been way more stronger. Aapki nazron mein is such a unique show. I don't watch it but disabled people never get shown on tv. What's the outcome-struggling with trp. If one can't endorse progressive content then one can't question makers on problematic messaging.

Y’know I totally agree. It’s the Balaji formula that works. EK has such regressive content on tv because that’s what sells. She has much more progressive content on her ott platform and movies. It might seem like chicken or egg thing but I think the public has to stop lapping up this crap before makers are able to enact change.

As for Shaurya, he is a product of the patriarchy just like Anokhi is. They tried the reform him route but at the end of the day, ShaKhi had a sindoor shaadi. And Anokhi walks around with sindoor as if she’s married. That is also a very old school thought that satisfies the trp audience.
As for ANNS, it started okay, but the shaadi really ruined the male lead and his redemption has been unsatisfactory to me. But you’re right that disabilities aren’t portrayed well on ITV.

In ITV, TRP rules. There’s no way out of that until the system and audience demand change.

And honestly one or two shows not getting grt trps would shake star. Star still is placed highest on the trp list. If it takes risks it will still be at the top. I don't want to comment on others as I don't watch. But I felt tv is going back in time. I watched dil mil gaye, pyar ki ek kahani and mile jab hum Tum. Which were far far better than what is on itv today. They had long runs. I am sure they must have had issues too but not to this scale I am sure. They had grt humor. They were light and uplifting. They really had stuff to show. Now well .......

For now I find SAAKK much better than other shows. Maybe I am biased, but still I find it real and relatable than other shows. I have NOT been a huge fan of itv though. This is my first show in 10 years.

In ITV, being a widow is more accepted than divorce. I’m glad it’s kind of changing with shows like Anupama. But that show still makes the other woman the villain rather than the husband who cheated.

Okay! Maybe that’s enough. But I personally can’t get over what he did. Though I really like Raghav!

Exactly! I was impressed with the premise of Anupama until they went on to make kavya this clingy needy insecure gf who ultimately became the villain now. Whereas the actual culprit is Vanraj. He is a horrible excuse of a human/man!
