Neil was Awesome today ,just perfect

After reading some of the posts saying Neil is not good,expressionless,not intense,tired etc in today’s episode I am making my first post in this forum. I used to make so many posts in KRPKB forum and Nitu knows that. Here I was never tempted to make posts till today. I just made comments and that’s it.

Virat entered after the whole fiasco ended up with Sai going upstairs to pack her things. He sensed something again happened in his absence on seeing Aswini’s state. As always Pakhi tried to poison his mind by giving her version of what happened there and Virat looked not interested in hearing her bakwas.When Sai came down with bags Pakhi again started her nonsense. Virat is hearing how Sai is shutting up Pakhi and like always he did not interfere. By now we should get used to it..he did not speak in the recent episode where major show down happened Reg Vaada. Any way that day I wanted him to speak Atleast for the nasty comment of Pakhi calling Sai as nurse..that is a different matter.

Today I didn’t feel it necessary for Virat to speak between Pakhi and Sai. Virat today is bothered only about Sai’s resolution to leave the house and nothing else. And he did it in the Virat Chavan way. No shouting,no hungama just the right choice of words. When Kaku tried to intrude he just raised his hand to shut her up.

Virat knew Sai would not keep quiet and she continued but in a firm yet soft voice and I liked it.

Then Virat approached her,shh...he said ,closed the doors and firmly answered Sai’s query regarding his right to stop her. He spelled the ultimate truth of their relationship . For once Sai also gasped in hearing what she wanted to hear from him.,She is not his zamedari. She is his wife and he said it.

There is no need of holding hands or bringing up more intensity. Neil did it perfectly. He would have done that differently may be if they are in their private space but before his elders he is to the point,firm and clear.

I disagree with everyone who says Neil is not in his element,he is off,not acting well...Neil knows what he has to do. He is in his charecter and portraying Virat with all his flaws in a way that no one else can do like he does.

Taking this opportunity to tell that Sia gave a beautiful interpretation to the episode about Virat closing the doors etc in EDT thread.. I wish all the members read it to know how significant it is ..I mean Virat’s way of dealing with Sai..today.

Want to say some more regarding yesterday’s hospital Sairat scenes. It is quite natural for a couple to behave normal even without clearing issues. Confrontations,clearances stay on one side but emotions rule hearts on another side. Sairat care for each other ..that is why they react like true lovers keeping aside their differences. Virat may not realise his share of faults specially in Vaada confrontation issue but that won’t pull him down from being besotted with his lovely wife who came all the way to hospital to be with him. It happens this way only in normal life between couples who are bonded by emotion of love which is beyond reasoning and logic

I was one of those who had a problem with Neil today. For me, this is not about Virat Sai at all.

I myself have no issues with Virat declaring that she cannot leave. I have shipped Sairat through all their ups and downs and I do know them well, believe me. I am looking forward to their scenes this week.

I just felt his reactions to Pakhi .. could have been better. Because it causes a disconnect for me as a viewer. I have been feeling like this for a couple of days now because PP has had a major chunk of the SS and dialogues this week.

As always, it's never my intention to make any fans feel bad. My mom asked me, why does he just stand like that!! And other unmentionables!!

TRP audience is much more brutal than us.

The creatives as a team... director, writer, have to be careful from this point onwards. That's all.

Today I felt Virat is more concerned about Sai leaving the house and hence he did not bother to pay attention ( not that he will respond and react otherwise.)

So my take is restricted to today’s episode where I felt Pakhi need not be dealt with by Virat.

Yes had Virat heard Pakhi’s nasty comment about Sai and Mohit I would have expected him to shut Pakhi up in a stern manner.

Pakhi deserves to be shown her place and not only your mother,every one including me wish to see that happen.

Neil is a polished actor. He can subtly conveys his emotions like no one. Since the past few weeks he hardly gotten any dialogues. On top of that his character is emotionally draining. Those people have been staying away from their families over two months. It's no harm feeling out of the place.

I have always maintained. Neil is a brilliant actor.. The characterisation of Virat is so poor that its only this actor that has made us love him and still defend him..

But recently more than being appalled or disgusted he looks. confused or has that let go attitude when Sai is being insulted..Its rightly pointed out by the viewers...Mind it the insults have gone inhuman the abuse worse than before the Ladakh track..And at time Virat was more expressive in his disapproval towards the atrocities that happens on his wife. Now that he is love there is nothing much from his sides.. He shows hardly anything when it comes to those atrocious words spoken against Sai..And not to forget his vaada that she would not be insulted in CN anymore.. He has extreme reactions when it comes to Sai and hardly any when the criminals and Patralekha cross lines.. Compare his reactions to Sonali calling Sai a motherless child and Omi talking to her in the way he talks after he is out as a criminal. His reactions to Patralekha insulting Sai for being fed by Usha Mausi and his reactions when Patralekha calls he names, khudgarz and also all those things she spoke recently and in today's episode.. There was hardly any intensity and impact when PP said Sai is brainwashing Devi..I feel disconnected with him and his acting and Sairat scenes good or bad in continuation to what has happened in the previous scene is not working for me. It might work if I dont see the episode as a whole and just those scenes/clips. However if I bring in the continuation part of it, he is leaving me absolutely disappointed. Today was the worst. Virat's reactions to Patralekha leaving was far more profound than Sai leaving.

Also his expressions when he got to know about Sai lacked impact.. I cannot as a viewer feel his bechaini, his chatpatahat..Call it lack in continuation , the script , the dialogues or the character it all lacked the impact... And since he is one actor who has mostly rose above the script and that is why we still are able to justify Virat, he failed today for me.. Today was his worst performance for me.

Having said that, I do feel he is stagnated because is not able to connect to Virat like all of us and is just doing his job. Before he understood Virat and his reactions to certain incidents and hence we could see him speaking through his eyes, even when he hardly got dialogues. When actors like him feel the disconnect with their character its seen in the scenes. As it is Virat's characterization is too bad.. Everything is adding to the bad portrayal. Its high time they have a talk about the character , Copy KD or no Copy KD.

Why should he be surprised or bechain when this is what he knew will happen at the end of the day? He knew in the hospital itself that Sai will leave. He said it there only. He felt relieved then hearing Sai say she will come home. He still got the chance at home to stop her. In a way he is prepared to meet the challenge and he proceeded just in right direction.

Bechaini,Pyar bhara looks all those already happened at different points of time whenever Sai said that she will leave. Today is the moment he has to act.With adhikar,with right and with resolve. There are no two ways left ..since I am your husband I am stopping you with that haq..that is the straight mantra he used and Sai Joshi gasped on hearing that.

Neil’s expressions I repeat bang on. How nicely he conveyed his resolve to keep their relationship intact! I am impressed.

Yes, acting is subjective but I always end up being surprised when people point out something lacking in him as I find his portrayal despite not being given enough substance on paper to be beyond perfect. The subtle brilliance is applaud worthy and the range of micro-expressions and nuances he brings in nano-seconds is amazing. He elevates Virat despite the bad writing. Very polished and talented actor

He was in his usual exceptional form today. He genuinely deserves to portray an author backed role. Hopefully Virat gets better with time or maybe his next show.
