Oh Imaliya, why so cuuuuuute😆.
Itna dimaag khaati hai most days aaj kal, but jab apne adorable mode mein aati hai, it's hard to resist her charm😆. I'm obviously speaking about the second half of the epi here vis a vis her scenes with Pallavi, Adi and Sundar😆.
Her scenes with Pallavi are a refreshing change from seeing Imlie with only one type of "Didi" in her life who mostly condescends to her in the guise of sweetness......Pallavi doesn't talk down to her and treats her more like a peer when she talks to her. LOL@ Imlie doing her nautanki about narrating life in PD when she knew Pallavi was fishing for info about Nishant😆. When they take Imlie out of the sphere of influence of certain GRAHAN waale elements, automatically khil jaati hai😆.
Her matchmaking speed was a little extra fast yesterday but aaj she was settling into cruise control😆.....grammar book chhodne ka idea was better than whatever she was trying yesterday to find out about "chingaaris"😆.
Phir aaya Adi-Imlie scene......LMAO@ Imlie trying FLAMES on hers and Adi's name🤣......So I mainly enjoyed this scene cuz we got to see an Imlie acting her age after many days.....lol she is after all a college going girl at the end of the day who is bound to pick up random things from the peers around her at college....waise FLAMES toh schoolkids ka game hota hai but chalo Imlie ke case mein college pe apply kar dete hain😆.
ROFL@ Imlie getting stuck on the M bit and thinking M for MURDER😆.....then M for MANMAANI😆.....phir Adi Maharaj prakat huye to jataao his naraazgi over Imlie doing BACHKAANI harkatein rather than focusing on SERIOUS things like her exam😆. Then Imlie reminded him that she is after all bachkaani only.....she goes to college, not office like him😆.....and that he's MUCH older than her😆.....Adi ki SHAKAL in response to hearing about their age difference🤣🤣......Jaldi se topic badal diya back to her studies.....hahaha. I guess dono kabhi kabhi bhool jaate hain apna age difference until it pops up in moments like these giving them pause about the vast differences between them😆. The writers rarely give even a subtle nod to it since all oxygen is sucked up in managing Didi ke tamaashe....but today it was nice to see that subtle nod to Adi-Imlie ka INTERPERSONAL aspect vis a vis age difference😆.
Then, in a very symbolic bit....Imlie states the obvious.....that she doesn't know what the M stands for😆.....and Adi tells her that M is for Marriage😆.....subtle nod ho gaya to the fact ki Imlie ko abhi bhi inki shaadi ka matlab nahin samajh aa raha and Adi has accepted that this marriage is their destiny.....
Good scene and nice build up for kal ka jo bhi I Love You adventure hoga😆.....I'm guessing it's going to be similar to last time wala ILU jo joke mein tal gaya tha😆.....family ke saamne bahaane mein tal jaayega. Waise bhi ILU is just a formality between them....dono ko pata hai pyar hai😆.
The Sundar-Imlie scene after this was hilarious too with Imlie trying to orchestrate Nishant opening the door.....lol and Adi thinking Imlie exam ke stress mein aur paagal ho gayi hai😆
Baaki honorary mention to AC pointing out ki Dev ka khoon hi cheater wala hai🤣.....and also to Adi staying firm on divorce ki inevitability even with Dev gidgidaaoing in front of him......but Dev now seems curious about Adi's reason for the divorce so I guess shak ki sui will go back towards Imlie again soon enough.....lol
Better epi than yesterday.....Imlie perked it up today :)
Makers ne aap ke review ke liye kuch toh achche wale scenes de hi diye. Warna aaj kal ke filler episodes ke chakkar mein I thought we would not get to read your reviews. Loved your analysis.
Today a few things did stand out (mentioning the Loservedis coz I just had to say it):
1. Dev is desperate to maintain the status quo, despite getting feedback from multiple sources that Malini is with someone else. His assumption that the guy is no good just does not make sense other than the fact that he is the reason for the divorce. Waise I loved that kisis aur ka character mein inconsistencies aaye na aaye, AC ka character day one se consistent hi raha hai. Even today she got mad when KC called her "aunty" and asked him to call her "Mrs Chaturvedi". I was like 7 saal mein Adi ko kuch aur bulane nahi diya (excluding the brief period he called her mummyji, which got revoked due to HM being postponed and never went back), yeh kal ka aaya hua kya teer ukhad lega. Also the way she categorically pointed out that Dev ka khoon rang la raha hai for dono betiyaan - while I do not agree for Imlie on this, will surely say that it definitely applies to their daughter, and it is hilarious that Dev is chadofying on Kunal & Malini, especially after all he has done. Meaning pot calling kettle black anyone.
2. I loved loved Adi today. Him categorically telling Dev that divorce is a choice they both made and they are both doing this together, without making the real issue come forth was done well. Today I think sab cheezon ka asar uspe bahut pad tha, that was why the poor guy was looking just so tired today. Like we say, Imlie ka saath just brightens him up. Even though he looked serious, his expression almost softened a bit when he explained about the marriage bit. Her reminding him that she is a college girl & that she is going to be doing such bachkani harkatein really reminded him that his "Mrs. Tripathi" is actually just 19, and while she is mature to understand the responsibility part of the "marriage", she does still have the innocence and naivety that being a 19-year old brings to the relationship. He forgave her "bachkani" harkat because he understood that she has never been exposed to these things growing up and that she will have to go through these experiences to come out a well rounded adult and equal partner.
3. Imlie showed me today all the reasons I am still invested in the serial, despite the raita that the writers have phailoed currently. Her equation with Malini, Pallavi and Sunder were really on point. Her thought about whether she is really doing bahana on seeing KunMun together, her plotting to get NisVi together by leaving her grammer book and then regretting at at home, coz she does not have her book to study was hilarious. Even the little moment with BS where he was shouting at her and she reverted back saying that she will do things as per her age and that may look silly to him because he is waay older to her was so poingnant, because it was her way also of letting him know that he has to allow her to be her age, which he sometimes overlooks in his habit of looking out for her. His expectation from her of being a mature adult all the time was really nicely challenged by Imlie to remind him of not only her age, but basic exposure to the city life which he sometimes takes for granted. That interplay between them today just shows beautifully that he will always be someone she looks upto, while she will always be someone who can ease the pressure and expectation he gets from the outside world. Un dono ka saath is just so magical and beautiful. Nazar na lag jaaye. (kala teeka)
4. Surprisingly the KunMun scene today was decent, and it looks like they are going the typical Mills and Boon way, where they both first fight and fall in love as quickly as possible. The fact that Kun misses seeing Mun, reminded me of Imlie's dialogue on Monday, where she was lamenting that she would never see Malini didi again and really made me laugh. Itni jaldi Crazy Lady ke pyaar mein padh gaya? Waah.
Overall good episode, and looking at the trailer, looks like we may get the promo scene only on Friday. Loved that the prelude for the ILU was related to her being thankful of BS being in her life rather than being related to anything else, and am waiting to see how it pans out.
