I think the desi idea is that kiss karna is a super-intimate gesture so it's also trickier to pull it off nicely on-screen, because actors ko woh real mein karna padega. We have suhaagraat scenes but do we ever really see them doing it during consummation, unlike non-desi/Western movies? there was a show jisme kis dikhaya par hua nahi. it was well done.

they put a transparent curtain around the two and in between their faces too and we cud see the lip lock 👏

so it looked like they kissed behind the curtain but in bts we saw that there was cloth between their faces too
