That’s what I used to think 50 or so episodes back, it’s about time some progress should have been made. And besides, it’s been told countless times to imlie, except her parents, no one matters more than bsbb. The relationship she has with him goes beyond the token gestures dd showed her. It’s literally forged in life and death, an understanding formed at a level those gestures of dd can never surpass. I don’t think she comes first than bsbb, her guilt is just too strong and fears and insecurities even stronger. But obviously that’s not what they’ll focus on, they barely give her character that much time. See, yes her guilt and love for Malini makes sense, but the senseless part is the extent of it and putting it above her other way more meaningful and real relationships. ‘Malini didi se nahi mil paaongi’ will remain the most nonsensical dialogue this show has thrown in just to keep dd relevant to imlie because showing imlie with some more real feelings of her own for her relationship after the divorce somehow to them seemed wrong or something to them. There’s selfless and then there’s just plain unrealistic. I mean if they want to keep M relevant there’s other ways for it than using imlie as some token for her sake.
