Lol sorry but this is ITV. The last thing they care about female empowerment. Do tell me, up until now what constructive have they shown? They've had multiple extremely regressive tracks which a child should NEVER be a part of. But all of that is shoved under the rug because at the end of the regressive tracks they show two line moral message.

The show never was okay specially in the last few months and if you really want to see bondita's development phase, will her development stop after the leap? In fact the show will be able to explore even more nuaunced themes if they truly want to.

Growing up is an unavoidable part of bondita's part even the romance track. So I don't think anyone should be opposed to it. If bondita's crush on Anirudh was explored why not her adulthood love for him?

Aside all this, the show desperately needs a revamp. It's clear they have run out of ideas in the current scenario. They have nothing more to show. They have already explored every cliched saas bahu drama track of ITV

I tried to search this on the internet but couldn't find not even 1 result, but kuch articles the which wrote, that platonic love for a friend can change into romantic if you are same age or adults, but anirudh's platonic love was for a child, how can it even change to romantic? Now i may be wrong, so do we have a psychology student or someone here, to clear my doubt?

Now, I know ki dono ka alag alag hona is a bit not possible in the show, to why can't they stay on as a platonic couple? Waise bhi itv never had a concept of platonic couples, so why can't they be one in this show?(looking at the casting waise i don't think i will continue to this show post leap)

Don't have a problem accepting romance if it is possible and not problematic

Yes same. Even I feel so weird about the potential love track of Anirudh and bondita specially because he has seen her since she was a kid. It just doesn't sit right with me.

But what I understood from the makers as well as the fans, a lot of people ship them and no show in ITV has shown two leads who weren't romantically involved. Personally, I too would be very uncomfortable to see them romance but this is where the makers are headed specially for higher trps.

For me, what would've made sense was bondita having feelings for Anirudh which is really natural because he was well her friend, confidante etc. But not Anirudh. Bondita would explore her feelings, get over them and probably marry someone else or live a fulfilling live alone.

Bondita and Anirudh don't belong together. It just seems unsettling to me even when I know bringing a pre-puberty bride was common back then.

Exactly, this is ITV. Thought it to be different from the lot but better late than never. I don't about 'multiple' regressive tracks but I am in in full agreement that since the arrival of Sampoorna in RC's as Binoy's wife, the show started going downhill. With the exception of the menstruation and the molestation track that lasted for good 2-3 episodes.

With the track developments these days, the show needs a revamp which is only possible with a leap. But with the current scenario of the writers they are hiring, I doubt if they will have the old show back as many here are mentioning. The show is now a typical ITV drama and after leap it is going to be another extremely cliched ITV show with more regressive tracks being served in the name of women empowerment. So I don't understand why is it like - the show will get better after leap. LOL. It won't. Cause the same reason - this is ITV.

About Bondita's developments - well this show never managed to portray a proper school journey of Bondita. Leave alone that it did not even show Ani. the male lead, working in the court or fighting a case as a barrister. And this same show will depict Bondita's development after leap? If development in sense like the other typical female leads, then yes, that will definitely be shown.

What's important to note is romance will bring trps. That is the last straw makers have to save this show. Cause this show is now doomed. A show like barrister babu needing romance tracks to survive. Romance will definitely be upping the trp game, but thus is not a romantic show or a love story. But the fact that this show now needs it speaks a lot of things.

Also, I don't get on what 'crush' you are exactly speaking of. These writers didn't even show a natural crush. It was clearly an induced or a forced crush.

Well I don't know about others but I have always seen them as a platonic couple. This won't stay after leap and if you read the 'reputed' news portals, it will be a starting of the love story between Ani-Bon. 🤢Barrister Babu turning out to be a love story? This is extremely uncomfortable for me, specially with one of the leads being kept. If they change both of the leads, then it is somehow possible for me to see it as another entertainment show with doses of romance, but with Pravi, the character and the old story connection will keep coming back and seeing him romancing a grown up actress playing Bon (specially the actresses whose names are coming up) is too much for me. The same feeling of cringe will resurface that happened with Manorama track where the gradual love between Ani-Mano was blossoming 🤢.

This is my personal opinion.

Yeah I understand your concerns. The leap or not. The show has already lost its essence. They just want to capitalise on the fandom now, most of them ship rudhita anyway. I've heard comments like "imagine when bondita grows up then Anirudh says I love you, imagine what will happen", such comments kind of disgust me.

The makers sole priority is romance now. Everything else can to go hell for them. They will bring in more regressive stuff even I know.

Point is, this was one of the most successful show of this particular PH in a long time. Now they don't want to let go of the cash cow. They want to sustain anyhow. Even if that means comprising on the story or main theme.

That's what my point is. I have heard people saying, we don't want romance after leap, we want the story progression. Story progression as in how? To see Bon fighting against the social evils? Can't that be done with choti Bon along with Ani? I agree that barrister Bon has to come someday, but this isn't the someday.

Even I want a leap and a revamp, but with choti Bon so that they can bring back some good old tracks of Barrister Babu.

But saying that we need big Bon to see her fight doesn't makes any sense tbh. Fight can be shown with choti Bon too. Big Bon has some different part to play. Which is romance. So saying that 'no we don't want to see romance, we want to see independent Bon' is absurd. Romance is an inevitable part of leap.

My stand is we, the non-demanding people of big Bon, demand good, strong tracks with big Bon. After leap, if things turn out to be more cliche and the same old ITV way, the ones demanding big Bon will ask for good tracks, So the difference is we are asking good tracks today, ya'all will ask for tommorrow. Cause there is no gurantee that after leap they will show the 'barrister' journey of Bondita.

The makers who didn't show a good school track and the potential tracks with choti Bon, how to expect a good barrister journey of big Bon from the same makers?

That is why we want the makers to show the journey, a proper journey with choti Bon and then they can surely bring in big Bon. If they show us good and all the potential tracks with choti Bon, it will be believable to an extent that they can surely have some good storyline too after the major big leap.

But I don't understand the saying, 'we don't want romance after leap'. Of course there will be romance, that is the most 'wanted' track with big Bon. Just accept it.

Also saying that it is better to show saas bahu dramas with an adult instead of a kid, God, then demand/ask for good tracks instead of asking for replacement. Asking for the latter means you want to see saas bahu dramas in a show like Barrister Babu, but with an adult. And if you don't want that, then the good social tracks can be shown with choti Bon too. Then why asking for replacement immediately?

Having said that, I feel the old writers have changed, makers are completely out of ideas, and looking at the past 2 tracks and the current track, it seems they are desperate for typical ITV tracks and romance. So let them bring in all kind of ITV things, I hope the show closes asap. Cause it's now showing fake women empowerment and after leap, God knows what kind of regression they will bring.

Haan I understand your POV. But people saying they want progression as in to see older bon fight with social evils (romance or not) is justified.

Why? Because see growing up is an inevitable part of a person's life. More than one year was given to younger bon, now they can't give more because shows on colors run for maximum like 3 years so they have this window of time where they have to explore every aspect of bondita's life.

In fact, an older, empowered and educated bondita taking on people would be a treat to watch. I would love to see bondita finally fighting cases. Right now, bondita is a child and as much as I love the character, the real difference she'll make is when she fights for the rights of other women.

That can only happen when she's empowered in every sense as in older and educated. Also, we'd see new perspectives of older bon which will be a treat to watch.

But the promo suggests she has come for adhoora pyaar and is already in love with ani smitten and thinks of this only not fulfil for ehr dream and making changes in society

Jabki being an unmarried First Lady barrister is not easy for Bondita in that society

Upar se ani is ignoring ehr or hating her

And she is already in love which I wanted her to have emotional growth as with tm entry she is facing a lot and so many things ,how can she think of adhoora pyaar

Promo mein direct female lead love mein abi and make lead i gnrofign her as if seperation hua hai and ani hates bon

What has my post got to do with the promo? How would I know what's in the maker's mind? I didn't know they would pan out this all

Stop quoting me and telling me things according to the promo because

A. The comment was written before the promo was posted

B. The context of your comment is TOTALLY MISPLACED when you look at my original comment

C. I don't care or endorse anything the makers do so what all I said previously still stands and I don't care what anyone thinks.
