Its doesn't make sense because his character is not like that(he shown more of a person who listen his heart n can go against to anyone for that). He is not a pushover like Prachi is. For Prachi everyone opinion matter to her the most but for Ranbir thats not the case.

Its shown Prachi's get affected with people judgement and expectation but for Ranbir only his people opinion matter. In his molestation case he affected only by Prachi's opinion, but in Prachi's case, she affected by all.

That's their characteristic, that's y it easy for Ranbir to be rebellious n go against to his people if his heart on stake but not for prachi.

He didn't agree because he was in love with Prachi and he knew how evil Rhae is. Otherwise, I think he would have agreed to marry Rhea. He initially did think that she was right choice for him, and he also has been shown to love his mom and if someone rejects you, you might go with mom's choice unless you know how evil she is That's what I meant by it.

So friday's epi Ranbir apparently tries to run away from home to avoid marrying Rhea, but he returns as he sees that pradeep 🥱 Satyanaash ho iss pradeep ka. Would have been interesting seeing Ranbir actually run away and ditch rhea.

It looks like it...but it can be deceiving like they may have gotten married...but can't live together or are separated due to kohli and mehra's.
