Its a great experience, I got a chance through my college. Since you have to go to a remote place, mostly where there is very little light, so no network, only real socializing that too through out the night. We went during winters so it was damn cold in night. We shared shawls, enjoyed watching moon, planets, stars, meteors and constellations, playing games to keep ourselves awake. It was super fun.

The only time I've watched stars was in Mt Abu. Had gone there on a trip with friends. No telescope, just a clear sky and us lying on the terrace... the stars looked so close, like we could leap up and catch them 😌 Beautiful experience!

Oh yesss!! Never been to Mt Abu but can imagine the kind of sky you describe. There was a meteor shower on the nights we had gone. A place near Dubai with desert sands, some hills and lakes with ducks and swans. Bahot pyaara tha The stars really look so bright and I just wish city mein light pollution kam hota taki we could see the skies in all their glory!

Yes, it is serene. If you have an expert on board then you will get to see Mars, Jupiter and satellites with naked eyes. Telescope ki baat hi mat puchho
