Chapter Two:

“Ae mere Bhogilal, utale,” Prafulla groaned while holding onto her back, wobbling to the nearest sofa. “Aare mujhe nahi, iss gadheri ko utale,” she rectified while pointing towards Anita who was wincing at her Fui’s condition. Everyone filed into the small room once again, tip toeing around the angry lioness. Dev and Krish snickered in the back, pleased with their Maami’s wails but one glare from Gaumbi, and they shut up.

“Maami main aapka peet daba doon?” Krish asked innocently, while bringing his hands forward. Prafulla nodded her head eagerly and patted the space behind her. “Krish, buy one get one free wala massage dena. Aakhir humari Maami hai, toh discount toh banta hai,” Dev said, while winking at Prafulla. She shrunk back in fear, wondering what gears were turning in their heads. “Ye buy one get one free kya hota hai?”

“Peet ke saath saath gala bhi daba ne wala special promotion hai,” Krish replied while hovering over her neck with his hands. Prafulla clutched her neck and shook her head in protest. Against their best intentions, everyone chuckled at the interaction and Prafulla gulped in apprehension. Suman swatted both Dev and Krish’s heads and pulled them backwards – they have a mission to focus on.

“Ae Prafulla, ye apna rona dhona baad mein karna. Hum yaha tumhari dukh bhari film nahi dekhne aaye hai. Aur tu, mainnahitohmeribehensahi ki bachi, bataygi bhi ke kya hua.” Everyone turned towards Anita, and she tapped her head to form her thought bubble. Everyone leaned in with their heads touching to join in.

Krish had assigned Anita as the first one execute her plan because he had figured that it would be a pretty insignificant plan, considering she hadn’t gotten any action in quite some time. He had more faith in the other contestants and therefore wanted to save their plans for later. “Kya matlab tumhara ke mujhe koi action nahi miltha?” Anita asked, the thought bubble breaking with a loud pop.

Krish slammed his hand against his forehead, completely forgetting that everyone could read and see his thoughts whenever they were connected by the thought bubble. “Voh voh Anita uska matlab ye tha ke tum zyada action films nahi dekhthi nah, toh isliye tumhe masala wala pyaar samaj mein nahi aata hai.” Gaumbi came to Krish’s rescue while silently warning Krish to be careful from now on. Anita rolled her eyes and opened up the bubble again.

Anita grabbed a bucket and filled it with water until it was just about to overfill. With Krish and Dev’s help, she attached the bucket to the top of the living room’s door and wrapped a rope around it. Her plan was simple yet one that believed to be extremely effective. The general idea was that the two angry birds would open the door, and Anita would pull the rope to drop the water in the bucket on the both of them. And from them on it would be all: bheege hoth tere, pyaasa dil mera.

“Jawani ke din mein vamp bane mein itni busy hogayi thi ke ab budhiya tharkipane pe agayi hai.” Krish snickered, the thought bubble bursting as everyone was busy with hiding their laughter. Anita’s face had turned red, and it was as if literal steam was coming out of her ears. Dhara twisted Krish’s ear and gestured for the thought bubble to reopen. Anita stomped her foot in anger but refrained from responding and willed the thought bubble to reform again.

Rishita and Dhara had been tasked with bringing both Shiva and Raavi to the living room at the same time and did so with the excuse of lunch being served. Every aspect of the plan had been set in motion and everyone waited in anticipation. Prafulla had whipped out her phone to use it as her zoom lens as she wanted to keep a close eye on Shiva, specifically his hands. She hid behind a tall plant right in front of the door to capture their arrival and in her excitement, she rammed back into the door.

Anita heard the door creaking open and quickly pulled the rope, the bucket tipping over perfectly, as she had planned. What she hadn’t accounted for was her dumbfcuk of a Fui, who had been the recipient of the waterfall. Prafulla shrieked from the impact and as soon as she tried to move out of the way, she slipped on the wet floor and went flying towards the ground. Time had stilled, and everyone’s reactions had been in slow motion. The thought bubble captured each expression, the screen turning black and white and the sound of lightening ringing with each shot. As this was happening, Prafulla was still suspended in air and was falling closer and closer to the ground, her arms and legs flailing.

She finally landed with a thud on her back and laid there for a few seconds with the expression of a dead duck, the wind completely knocked out of her. Everyone had scurried away to hide behind pillars after their initial reactions, not wanting to be caught by Shiva and Raavi. “Main cheek thi gayi chilla thi gayi. Lekin kisine mera ek nahi suna. Vaha mujhe martha chod diya, lekin meri saanse abhi tak chal rahi thi. Ek zinda lash ko tum logo ne dafna dia,” Prafulla cried out and everyone rolled their eyes while turning away from the thought bubble to look at her.

“Phir shuru hogayi Somanth ki Sasti Shilpa Shetty. Ae Prafulla, ab tune kuch bhi bola na toh sach main tujhe iss hi haveli ke niche dafna dongi voh bhi mere kangan ke bina,” Suman gritted out and Prafulla put a finger on her lips, her eyes widening in horror. The thought bubble reemerged with everyone bumping their heads into each other.

Shiva and Raavi heard the commotion and rushed towards the source of the noise. Shiva burst out laughing at the sprawled form of his Maami on the floor. Her limbs were twisted in weird directions and the dead duck expression had prevailed. Raavi swatted his arm and he bent down to presumably help Prafulla up. But as soon as he grabbed her wrists, he began to slide off his mother’s kangans.

Prafulla struggled against him while shrieking. A newfound strength had emerged within her and she pulled with all her might, pulling Shiva on top of her. An intense eye lock proceeded before the both of them realized what position they were in, and Shiva scrambled off of her. Raavi who had witnessed the whole scene was holding onto her stomach from a fit of laughter, the romcom scene in front of her was too ironic and hilarious.

Shiva glared at her and pushed her up against the pillar, their bodies meshing together and their chests grazing with each breath they took. “Aise ke ke karke kyu has rahi hai Chudail,” he asked while pulling her closer by her shoulders. Raavi tried to stifle her laughter but had lost all control the minute she remembered the scene that had just played out in front of her.

“Main yeh dekh rahi hoon ke aaj kal tujhe MaasiMa par bada pyaar araha hai. Chakar kya hai? Shayad Dhara Di ko mandap mein MaasiMa ko bhej na chaiye tha,” she choked out while hysterically shaking with laughter.

“Ae Mami Ki Behen Ki Beti,” he warned while pointing a finger towards her. The space between them had gradually been decreasing and everyone signaled to Prafulla to leave the scene, but she remained slumped on the ground.

“Bol na meri MaasiMa ka lover boy,” Raavi teased while looping her hands around his neck, her arms resting on his shoulders. Shiva moved his hands to hold onto the pillar behind her and leaned in the lower portion of his body. Their noses were almost touching yet neither of them were bothered by the proximity.

Shiva looked down at her lips and licked his own, trying to conjure up a taste of the cherry lip-gloss that he could smell on her lips. Raavi’s breath hitched from his gaze and her lips opened up slightly, a small ‘o’ forming. If she pulled back her lips even just a little bit, the hole would be big enough for him to slide his tongue in and Shiva concentrated on the ‘o’, willing it to widen.

Raavi finally looked at his lips and traced the outline of his mouth with her eyes, memorizing each and every crevice that would potentially be pressed up against her own. His tongue would occasionally dart out to quickly swipe the front of his bottom lip and she wondered how it would feel if did that with her own bottom lip.

The attraction between the two was sizzling and they leaned in to answer their very important questions – purely for the sake of research purposes. Both of their lips touched and they opened their eyes momentarily to gauge the other’s reaction, but were horrified by the sight in front of them. Each of their mouths was plastered against one of Prafulla’s cheeks as she was a heaving mess in the middle of them. They pulled back in shock and Prafulla rubbed her cheeks, scarred from what had just happened.

Raavi’s sudden boldness had slipped away, and she ran away in embarrassment, while Prafulla fell to the ground once more, now that her mission was accomplished. She had somehow found the strength to slide across the floor and get up a little, to position herself in between Shiva and Raavi. She put her arm up in a cry for help, but Shiva just glared at her and left the living room as well.

This time the thought bubble was broken with Suman pulling out a stick and hitting Prafulla’s legs. Prafulla jumped up in the air and howled in pain. “Mujhe tujhse khush khabari nahi, Raavi se chaiye hai. Ek number ki kabab mein haddi hai tu,” Suman yelled while poking Prafulla with the stick. Prafulla hobbled out of the room with Suman chasing behind her in the wheelchair.

Everyone shook their heads in dismay and rested their cheeks on their hands – phase one of #TipTipBarsaPani had completely failed.

I have been watching the last episode on loop 🤣 the shivi scenes and shiva and maami scenes were just too good 🤣☺️
