Farhad entering the shrine, the scenario which was promoted heavily and which did not disappoint at all, should I say that the moment he knelt down and touched taht floor and was trying to react, it gave me goosebumps. Also, the ice cold face, not a single facial muscle moved by his eyes visibly moist and confused and drowned in misery looking at the saint laughing at his face, for him the scenario was surprising, he could have taken it either as a strange encounter or as a mockery, but the saint knew that why he is here, the saint knew that he was here to find a healing, not for himself but for someone else. Hashim Nadeem has not convinced me yet on why Farhad deserved it, he did not ask for any of it, he did not even ask for a fairy tale princess when he was in lahore, then why would his fate be so miserable and cruel that he had to lose his sanity, go mute, forget the love of his mother, mourn on a pathetic case of being fooled on into a more pathetic friendship that turned into love/worship? Why? In reality boys who ruin themselves over women, they do it because they never get attention, but Farhad has women throwing at himself, literally, he would get any girl, but he had to fall for the one who neither loved him, nor mourned his absence, did not even care when she broke his heart and only lost it when she herself faced a tragedy? What kind of scenario is this? Why do I believe that love has to be so unfair? If he dies or Mahi dies at the end, it will only mean, falling in love leads you to death or to the lifelong guilt and suffering of losing your beloved.

I am still trying to understand the correlation of the poetry, the exchange of emotions between baba & feedi and feedi's surprised/disbelief/shocked expressions ..

Care to throw some light on it @Ste?

Trying to decipher the poetry here .. lend in a hand + brain if u can girls ..

Suraj turda naal barabar, din lyun lakhan saal barabar

The sun sets everyday, so then why does the day feel as long as a year

Aankh da chanan mar jave te, neela peela laal barabar

When the eye loses its light (eyesight), all the colors look the same

Murshad je narazi hove, mujra naach tamaal barabar

When the teacher is not in favor, all dances feel the same

Utto tu parde pavan, vichon sabda haal barabar

Outside is covered, inside everyone is the same

I feel somewhere each stanza had some association with Feedi ..

Trying to explain with couple words here ..

1st stanza: Restlessness, bechaini..

2nd stanza: Hopelessness

3rd stanza: Our view of God's doings.. When we are upset with God, we find every move of his the same

4th stanza: From outside everyone looks different but deep within we all are the same..

The only thing I am trying to understand better here is whether Feedi could hear baba's poetry .. really? or was it for us to hear and him to look at baba's smiling face? because i dont understand how come he turned to look at baba the same exact time when he is saying the poetry (dimaag mein) .. ?

Nothing actually happened that moved the storyline, watch the Roma-Sikka conversation, and Farhad entering the shrine, that moved the story a bit I guess, rest are all fillers.

The poetry is a beautiful rendition of Bulle shah, and as you have already dissected, yes it was more like a metaphor of Farhad's state, indicating a hapless situation where the worldly pleasures have taken a back seat.

@bold: No Feedi could not hear it, Feedi just was in a state of amazement and shock that some guy was visibly starring and looking at him as if he knew him for ages, the poetry was for us to hear only. Farhad is a normal human being, no super powers, hopefully soon he will go to the baba and ask that what does the baba see in him.
