To lose you is my biggest fear

Shiva 'The Chattan' Pandya, however hard exterior he puts up in front of the world, is a softie at heart for the people he loves. He can endure anything but not seeing his loved ones in pain or hurt. He is terrified even at thought of losing them. That fear is there even at the thought of his Dhara bhabhi leaving the house or going away BUT his fear is at it's gravest at the thought of losing his mami ki behen ki beti, which we saw today. This is his biggest vulnerability which he hides from everyone.

He says that he hates her, fights with her day and night but the fact is that his world revolves around her. He doing her 'hifazat' or thinking that her safety is his duty, is not a recent phenomenon just because he promised his mother to do so or apparently this girl is his wife now. He has always taken upon himself to make sure that she is alright.

I was just watching videos from the older episodes before the wedding, and came to this realization that he has always made it a point that nothing but his words could hit her.

What prompted him to go and check upon her on the highway where she'd gone to jump before a truck, which apparently he himself had suggested?!

How in a fit of anger as wel he was the one to spot the piece of broken matka flying towards her and not letting it even touch her?!

His protective instinct has always been towards her just that he cannot show it, afterall, she is related to his maami. He went on to save her from the suicide attempt as well without giving a second thought and at that time too he was not related to her in anyway nor was he bound by any promise. One would say that any person would do that for tge sake of humanity but not all would go as numb as him right?

Today, once again he encountered his biggest fear of " losing her". He can bear anything but not going away from her. He can be bickering, fighting with her all his life and be fine with it, but the mere thought of not being with her breaks him, and that we saw in his desparation to keep her awake today and how afraid he was when she said " aaj pahunch jaaungi" .

Shiva doesn't like to express his vulnerabilities to anyone, not even Gaura as it probably makes him feel weak. He is the kind of person who doesn't like himself or his feelings to be a point of discussion. That is the reason why I feel that he will slip back into his cocoon and mask up his hard exterior once again after all this is over, hiding his vulnerability and insecurity.

Raavi will have a lot of work to do now to break that shell of his, which I believe she will do because she now accept his care wholeheartedly. It will be interesting to see Raavi taking baby steps towards him now on.

And now I see that this has turned out to be a relatively long post than I thought it to be, just my random thoughts. Hope you like reading it!❤

Wonderful post! Shiva is a selfless man who only lives to see his near and dear one happy! 😃

He is indeed Raavi's protector, savior, her guardian angel and vowed to commit to their marriage for lifelong. Raavi will be his one and only support and I have full faith in my sherni to break all the barriers/ layers to earn his true love and she in turn will love him the same way

They are made for each other and destined to be together❤️ I can't wait to see their love story unfold

This will be interesting in the upcoming track as the OG Tamil version never had Mullai(Raavi) in a near death situation(or atleast in first 400 episodes- I only watched till there). There was a bike accident, but she was still mobile, there were a lot of people to help and she was taken to a hospital almost immediately.

The trauma of a near death experience completely changes the equation between ShiVi. They cannot really follow the OG blindly now- that equation just does not make sense for ShiVi now.

I love a well done adaptation- I hope makers can take moments from the OG and reimagine them in light of the current ShiVi- their experiences, fears and insecurities

I went gaga over this post . You captured the essence of Shiva to the core . I have watched all these scenes before marriage just to see the times Mr.chattan Pandya had become phoolkumari when it came to his phoolkumari very discretely . Even the hug , raavi hugging him when he bursts out of the room . He doesn't push her at first go he gets lost in her hug and then pushes her . Also when she falls on him during kidnapping and shouts chipkali and he gives that faint wala shiva smile . That man is so in love with her that even he doesn't know . Dono gadhede hai but can't wait to unravel their love story🤣

I haven't seen the OG but I think they haven't been following it to the T since the beginning only, they have come up with different tracks.. and talking about the near death experience.. they just made fun of it in today's episode by making them walking normally and they didn't even feel the need to consult a doctor but rather do pooja.. and now I think the whole family being around, they only will tend to them..

Shivi's emotional turmoil is being suppressed big time by the makers🙈
