In the search for "better", sometimes people don't end up finding anyone at all because the truth is there will always be someone out there who will be better. Katrina has experienced long term relationships with both more successful and less successful men. So I think she knows what worked and what didn't. Not only that, marrying Gauri gave him the fulfilling personal life he wanted. If he had married a "deserving" actress, she would have been running from one set to the other and doing publicity stunts every week during her prime years. He would have had to wait until his 40s to have his first child and that too only if he was lucky. There is nothing he loves more than being a dad. When Gauri was having miscarriages, he had given an interview saying he wanted kids so badly that he was dreaming about kidnapping kids off the street and bringing them home with him.

All these people are grown adults. They know better what they want and deserve and they pick what works best for themselves. Katrina probably chose a guy this time that is actually willing to settle down because that's what she wants now. What good is it going to do to chase after "deserving" men who have no interest in marrying her?

The fact that you are discussing any of these people is because of their stardom, not acting. If it didn't matter, you would be talking about the likes of Pankaj Tripathi or Ratna Pathak Shah, but you don't.

Pankaj Tripathi and Ratna Pathak Shah are character actors, not leads. And I don't see what that has to do with this discussion. The topic is about Katrina and her dating history.

You said stardom doesn't matter but acting does and brought up Ranbir to show he was more successful than her in that dept. I'm only saying acting doesn't matter as much as you think it does, if it did, we'd be discussing Pankaj Tripathi and Ratna Pathak Shah who have also done lead roles.

Obviously she won't be as successful as Salman when she first started dating him since it was the beginning of her career and Salman was around for 15 years.

Ranbir was never more successful than Katrina. Katrina was the no.1 actress for so long, and remained in top 3 throughout her career, unlike Ranbir.

Besides both Salman and Ranbir are industry kids whereas Kat is an outsider and had to struggle on her own.

Vicky might get someone younger but she would be too busy with her own career to give much time to him, whereas Kat has already seen the highs of her career and will be happy to settle down.

Besides, Kat has so much money and popularity, it will definitely help Vicky because he is still not treated as a popular leading actor.

No, sometimes guys also deserve better girls. For example, SRK deserves better than Gauri. Nothing sexist about it.
