Deba has a round face and I understand why it comes across as if she has put on weight because I have a round face too 😆 My weight ends up coming up on my cheeks/face than on my body. I’m a petite too but my round face gives an illusion of me gaining weight.
They have transformed her looks very well so far. They gave her braided hairstyles for her pindu days, she started keeping her hair open and wearing sandals instead of sports shoes on patiala suits once she got into a city college. They started giving her stylish suits rather than simple Kurtis and the bindi went off as their love track was supposed to begin, just when she was leaving for kapurthala. Later they showed her imagining shaurya telling her to take efforts on her dressing as she was going to meet him, and from there her styling changed to indo-western. In Goa, anokhi had to look bold and confident, so the denims went very well with the scenes. I like the concept of short Kurtis now for a young married girl. I am so glad that they are giving a serious thought to her styling as per the changes in her character. I don't want her to change just because she is married or I don't want her to change because she's dating a stylish rich guy. But the fact is once you fall in love with a guy, you try to upgrade your styling game a bit, that's very natural. I wouldn't mind if they show her in western outfits too, in fact I would love to see her in dresses occasionally!

You may agree with me or not, idk, but in Shaurya-aastha scene yesterday, she looked more like his sister than his mother. Had he not worn the blazer and those thick framed specs, he would have looked quite younger and they could have looked more like maa beta. Similarly, in Shakhi's case as well, he would look too old against her in romantic scenes had they not changed her styling. Yes, he is older than her, but the scenes need to look convincing onscreen too. We accept their age gap, but the general audience may not and they want to bridge the gap to show the romance. Personally even I wouldn't have liked to see shaurya and anokhi of college admission times romancing eachother because she really looked like a kid in that look!
I will have to go back and notice this 😆 I was caught in the moment. The scene had me carried away and too much into it that I didn’t notice this at all but I will now 👍🏼 The clothes if I have to say need to look appealing. I don’t know but don’t you feel they look of a low quality?
At the same time, I don't want her to go all traditional in the college. I don't want to see her in Punjabi suits anymore when in college. I don't want her to flaunt her sindoor in college even if the marriage is public now. (That's my personal opinion, no offence to the once believing in wearing sindoor everywhere). Even if she's married and all matured, she still is a young college going girl and she should look like one in real world. So I am actually happy with the style they have chosen for her currently which shows a blend of married girl and college girl well.
But but but, having said that I understand their thought and concept behind her styling, I hate the choice of outfits! They are of below average quality, dull in colours, and not at all appealing! She is the FL of this show for God's sake...make her look appealing! Spare some budget from the side characters and vamp who contribute nothing to the show yet get best of the outfits and use that budget to add to the fire that your FL already is!! If not, you get such pretty outfits online under 1000 bucks too, I hope that's not too much to spend on FL's clothes. Anokhi is a simple girl, we understand, but the clothes she is given offends thousands of simple girls like us, we don't wear such shitty clothes even if we belong to middle class family😆

About make-up, I don't understand a thing about it, but in layman terms, she doesn't look natural these days! That yellowish white face, red cheeks, brown nose and dark lipshades...this much of make up is neither good for anokhi nor for Deba! Let it be suitable to her face, features and complexion. She looks the best with least make up and light lipshades. The make up is harming her skin and it shows on-screen. Please give us our simple Anokhi back!!
