I'm glad Pallavi hit her threshold soon enough. I'm still going by my calculation of time instead of the show's, because theirs doesn't make sense, so it's been less than a week and she put an end to all of this. I don't think it's in her nature to be sadistic enough to see the blows Raghav is receiving on his ego, courtesy the fam, and let him keep going. She could also see he wasn't going to put a stop to it himself, so she did it. I hope he's back for some kind of confrontation, I have no patience left for the track if he's planning to live there again.
I can't make up my mind on Sharda. While I believe her affection is genuine, she just does not come across as a good mother to me. She's busy defending Raghav and Pallavi to Sulochana, or she'll pray for them as part of family...okay, fine. But she isn't actually there for Pallavi, which renders all that affection pointless. It was my issue with her pre-marriage also- for all her complaints about why Pallavi doesn't share her issues, at the hint of the slightest crisis, be it gifts for Mansi's wedding or money for Vijay's treatment, her default was "Pallu, sambhal lena. Mujhe pata hai tu sab theek kar degi."
Even now, she's been explicitly warm towards Pallavi post-marriage only once- when Pallavi and Raghav were helping get Vijay out of jail, and Pallavi was again in "Aai, main aa gayi hoon, sab theek kar dungi" mode. It reminded me of Kirti's temporary affection for Raghav when she was in jail.
Seriously, Pallavi and Sulochana are the only Deshmukhs who know how to get shit done (maybe Nikhil? But he's kind of vanished). Without her, they're handicapped, as evidenced by the property tax thing also.
So Sharda has also started coming across a bit selfish to me. She supports Pallavi when it helps her win a point against Sulochana, or when she needs help. But otherwise, I can't think of a single instance apart from the night of the ousting where Sharda was actually there for her daughter, in a selfless and unconditional way. I guess she realizes Pallavi's marriage is a good thing, but when everyone in that household is going to try to drag her back- Vijay for his powerplays, Sulochana and daughters out of general jealousy and vindictiveness, and even Milind said he wants Pallavi to come home, I don't see her acting in Pallavi's favor then.
