Veer had said he will shatter if Rani leaves him. I think we will see a troubled Veer for a few more days.

I also feel like Veer questioning Rani about Birju-Rani's wedding might making Rani wonder what is happening. She has to think that someone is feeding him wrong information? But according to the drowning scene symbolism, Veer has to save Rani and their relationship now.
