it was much needed and i'll be frank here...

she has harbored too many feelings ever since the wedding, she is seeing what pakhi does and how virat says nothing to her ever, this is needed for him to understand (through sunny) what she is feeling....

if this was done privately he would have brushed it off like the previous night....

he is non-confrontational, it is true... he hates confronting and when he is in anger does not see right or wrong and is easily manipulated

This is his wake-up call, to know what happens behind his back, how she is being tortured, if he loves her in the true sense he will make amends...

he will falter 100% in the future but he has to show growth, he has to prove that his is making efforts and changing....

Virat's silence when pakhi was insulting sai, him not saying anything when sai looked to him in hope he would tell pakhi off for calling her a nurse and suggesting she takes fees etc all prove sai made a mistake coming back to virat and that he does not deserve her. After everything that has happened he still has not learned his lesson that it is wrong for him to scold sai when she is arguing with pakhi but staying quiet and not saying anything to pakhi when pakhi is throwing dirty insults at sai.

Virat is cancelled in today’s episode. Nothing can make me understand his POV. Sai was so clear, you can see how hurt she is. And he STILL is in step 1, which is I don’t understand what we fought about.

Let’s see what’s in store tomorrow. I am sure he will break the lowest bar that we set for him tomorrow too.

Even if we assume that Virat is that way, why do writers write his characterisation this way that makes it difficult to root for him? Is it to glorify the FL's pain and agony? It is not fun to watch this Virat.

I would only say that whenever he is alone he will talk to Pakhi that way but whenever he is in front of many, he would never. It is in his character to try to protect Pakhi some way and that is why he behaves this way.

I am sorry but not everything can be attributed as glorifying FL. If Sai is moofat, Virat is dumb.
