I genuinely feel he’s just trying to crush his own feelings. It’s not even revenge. He just wants to stay away from Rani.

He’s reacting like how a kid would react when his best friend would betray him. He’s showing tantrums, trying to hurt that person, pretending he doesn’t care. He wants to appear emotionless but his emotions are getting in the way.

It keeps reminding me of his first night dialogue about shattering if Rani leaves. He is shattered and not thinking right at the moment. Rani needs to push, which she will, and then only he will start thinking straight.
