Never a fan of any of his work. To make cheaters seem like they were made for each others is absolutely ridiculous. From what I remember, they came clean because they were seen?? Either way if you are so so unhappy, then your spouse knows your unhappiness and the most decent thing would be to is ask for a divorce. No scenario is so polite and decent with so much unhappiness in the marriage. Marriages turn lonely and mean really quickly and thats why it makes people in these marriages so miserable. If he had dealt with it realistically I would have maybe liked and connected with that. The valentine dinner scene makes me angry enough to punch out both the so-called soulmates, cheating right there in front of their spouses, physically with them but mentally with each other, that is such a betrayal. I feel just because it was SRK, the romantic one, it all got glossed over and romanticized.

I absolutely hated it till very recently also. But I surprised myself when I didn’t hate SRK and Rani’s characters as much, when I watched some of the scenes recently. I think the movie has layers to it which keep getting peeled with repeat watching and also with our maturity levels and experiences in life. But kudos to KJo for coming up with such a bold movie which kinda attempted to shatter all the norms that he himself set.

I think cheating shouldn't be endorsed, but cheating happens, and is a reality of life. I don't see the movie as endorsing it, but rather examining the very nature of it.

It's definitely a movie worth watching, and KJO's most mature and bold work till date, where he shatters myths that he can only make candy floss.

More importantly like Nora above mentioned, it attempts to debunk the crap that we got fed through these very movies about 'ek chutki ka sindoor’, mangal sutr ka mahima, bla bla bla.

When this song plays, it's like two parallel worlds: the world of the unsuspecting spouses, and the world of the lovers, which if it collides would come to devastating effects:

I don't know why, this song makes me more sad than happy ( I'm talking about the video)

Come to think of it, by giving them a song and making them go all the way before they broke up with their respective partners, he actually tried to make people hate this aspect of cheating.

Rani was poisonous and SRK was bitter. I guess this is what happens. Karan himself said he couldve made the movie better. Also they didnt even need Big B's character

I remember srk telling karan on his show that it's natural for people to not like the movie as no one would come and tell him that it's nice how you cheated on your wife something like that.

I really really hated both maya and dev, agar maya Rishi jaise loving and caring husband ke saath khush nahi reh sakti to dev jaise psychopath k saath to impossible hai

Not true. That’s why so many people cheat in real life because like I said, it’s very important to be sexually connected to your partner. Maya felt no chemistry with Rishi and felt more like a friend (plus also a burden) to him.

But she did with Dev and though she shouldn’t have cheated, it’s hard to walk away from a marriage and so much easier to just build a separate world with your lover where you escape to when you’re not with your spouse.
