Entry 1: Forget Me Not

Writer: Unique.Sheep

It was 28th May 2021. The date she would never forget. She stared at the calendar on the wall which had this date highlighted in bright red since the last 10 years.

Everything had changed 10 years ago on this date. Everything. Her whole life had taken a 360 degree turn. Her husband had died. She had sent his murderer to jail.

Shyam Jha.

She could never forget the name of her husband’s murderer. Today was the day he would get his due. She had been waiting for the past 10 years for the day when he would be sentenced to death. She wanted to be there to see it. She would make sure he had the most painful death just like he gave to Arnav Singh Raizada.

***

Khushi stood in front of Arnav’s framed picture on her bedroom wall. She had never put a garland around it because she believed until she was breathing, Arnav would always be alive in her heart.

Payal walked behind her as she saw Khushi was ready to leave.

“You shouldn’t be going there alone Khushi. You know how dangerous he can be. Let Akash accompany you.” Khushi heard her sister say.

“He is in jail. He can’t do anything to me now. Also, he has taken my most precious possession from me, my husband. Nothing else matters to me anymore. I saw him 10 years ago with his hands covered in my husband’s blood. Let me go see him today for one last time. I finally have the courage to confront him about why he did this with me.”

Saying this, Khushi turned around and walked out of the door.

***

Khushi drove to the police station where her husband’s murderer was located for the last time, unaware that Akash and Payal were closely following her in their own car. They had become even more protective of Khushi ever since she had become a widow and refused to let her take any risks alone no matter what.

Khushi arrived at the police station and walked straight to Shyam’s jail. It had been 10 years yet she knew exactly which way to go. Her steps automatically led her there.

When she arrived, she saw Shyam being prepared for his death sentence by two bulky police officers.

Shyam’s back was towards Khushi when he heard her voice, he first couldn’t believe that Khushi would come to meet him, that too at this time--but shortly he realised why she was here--of course, she wanted to see him get tortured.

“Stop,” Khushi shouted at the police officers. “I need to talk to Shyam. Alone.”

When the officers had left and there was nobody except Khushi and Shyam, she walked towards him and studied him closely.

Shyam had aged, she realised. He had lost a lot of weight, his bones were almost poking out, and he had a lot more grey hair since the last time she had seen him. His face also had a few wrinkles.

“Khushi, please cancel this death sentence. I don’t want to die.” Shyam finally gave up and begged in front of her, sitting at her feet.

Khushi was taken aback by his sudden move. She expected anything unpredictable from Shyam, but not this.

“Why would I? YOU KILLED ARNAV! YOU NEED TO DIE!” she cried.

Shyam looked at Khushi suddenly as if something had registered in his mind.

“No, no, Khushi. Arnav is not dead. He is alive. I would’ve told you this before, but you never came.”

Khushi stared back at him, fury in her eyes now.

“STOP LYING! YOU KILLED HIM! WHY?!?!?!”

“Arnav is alive,” Shyam protested. “I can tell you where he is. Go and bring him back. But only if you get me freed from here. I will go far away from your life. Just let me live.”

Khushi was in a dilemma whether she should trust him again. She was lost in her own confusion and didn’t notice when Akash and Payal came up to them.

“What proof do you have that bhai is alive?” Akash questioned Shyam.

Shyam started looking through his things until he found what he was looking for. He took out a scrunched up piece of paper and handed it to Khushi.

Khushi opened the paper and was shocked by what she saw.

“He’s alive! My Arnav is alive!” Khushi whimpered, handing the paper to Payal with trembling hands.

Payal looked at the paper as tears soaked her face. She saw Khushi’s drawing of a forget me not with her name KHUSHI printed underneath it in bold letters. She knew that this was Arnav’s favourite drawing by Khushi and he always used to keep it in his wallet. She flipped it over to see a telephone number written on it.

Payal turned back towards Shyam. “Call this number and make us hear Arnav.”

Shyam complied as he took Payal’s phone from her hand and started dialling the number.

“Hello.” A grumpy voice answered the phone.

“Bring Arnav on the line!” Shyam ordered his man.

There was a pause, and after a while some coughing was heard as Shyam put the phone on speaker.

Shyam tried his best to coax Arnav into speaking but there was no response on the other line.

“Speak up dammit!” Shyam was giving up.

No response.

Khushi took the phone from his hand and put it close to her ear. She could hear deep breathing on the other end. The breathing was so familiar. Every breath she heard, it felt like it was calling for her.

“Arnav?” she whispered.

The breathing grew louder and faster every time she spoke his name in her silky voice. “Arnav? Arnav?”

“Khushi!” He finally spoke and her heart did a somersault in the air. Two hearts beating in one rhythm despite being miles away.

Payal gently took the phone from Khushi’s hand and handed it to Akash, as Khushi was getting out of her own control. Khushi fell down to the floor with her face in her palms as Payal comforted her.

“You want to live, Shyam? Fine! We will set you free once you set Arnav free. Bring him back to us right now.” Akash seethed.

Shyam agreed to all his conditions without a second thought. He had always been waiting for this opportunity to be freed from this imprisonment. He was ready to do anything even if that meant making his worst nightmare come true and reuniting Khushi with Arnav.

He took the phone back from Akash which was still on speaker and instructed his man to send his location and let Arnav go with Akash.

Payal helped Khushi to the car as Akash confirmed the location from Shyam and promised to come back once Arnav was with them safely.

“Arnav has been kept in Bangalore. I am taking the flight to get there, you go home with Khushi in her car. I am leaving for the airport.” Akash spoke to Payal in a monotone. He had no time to waste and wanted to reach Arnav as soon as possible. “I will be back with Arnav by tonight.”

Khushi tried to protest, but found no strength within her to argue. She wanted to go to Arnav, but she trusted Akash. She knew Akash would bring Arnav back and that faith was enough for her.

***

It was past midnight and everyone had gone to sleep including Payal, who was sleeping in Khushi’s room tonight. She had told Khushi to get some sleep as Akash and Arnav would probably reach in the morning, but how could she? How could Khushi sleep knowing that Arnav was coming to meet her? How could she sleep knowing that Shyam was going to be freed today? Akash had requested the officers to delay Shyam’s death sentence and keep him under their supervision until he came back, and they had reluctantly agreed after some fussing when Akash had convinced them that Shyam may not have murdered Arnav, and he was going to bring evidence.

Khushi heard the car parking outside which brought her out of her reverie with a jolt. She stood up and ran to the window as her heart leaped up to her throat, threatening to come out.

She saw Akash open the passenger seat door and her dishevelled husband walk out of the car with Akash’s assistance; his face covered with bruises and his legs wobbling like jelly, as if they had no strength of their own. His beard covered his neck as if he hadn’t shaved since months.

Khushi covered her mouth, but still was not able to control the moan of agony and helplessness which came out of her throat seeing her husband in such shape. Any pity she was feeling for Shyam after meeting him that evening all vanished into thin air.

Hearing her helpless cries, Payal woke up startled and walked towards the window. It didn’t take long to figure out what had disturbed Khushi to no end.

As if hearing Khushi’s silent plea, Arnav automatically looked up towards her, meeting her gaze. For one moment, he forgot all the pain of the past 10 years as he cried tears of joy of finally seeing his wife again.

Khushi was able to hold on no longer as she ran down the stairs bare feet in her pajamas, two steps at a time, towards the driveway. She didn’t even acknowledge when the stairs had ended and she ran straight into her husband’s arms. Unable to control her weight on him, Arnav fell backwards with Khushi falling next to him.

Payal and Akash smiled seeing these lovebirds back together again after many years and decided to leave them alone, walking hand in hand to their own bedroom.

Khushi helped Arnav towards their bedroom as they spent the rest of the night in each other’s arms, whispering sweet nothings and how they spent the last 10 years without each other.

***

The time had come for Shyam to be hanged to death.

He was begging the officers to spare him as he hadn’t murdered Arnav.

“Stop,” Khushi ordered, walking towards the cell. “I have forgiven him. I am here to set him free. My Arnav is alive and I am here to pledge that Shyam did not murder him.”

“We would need Arnav’s statement before letting Shyam go.” The officer told her.

Arnav walked in with Akash and Payal, smirking at Shyam. “I am ready to give my statement.”

***

Arnav sat across from the officer and began to narrate what had happened.

Shyam had kept Arnav locked in a basement for 10 years to keep him away from Khushi. He had ordered his men to take care of him, give him food and keep him alive but not let him contact the outside world. He had lied to everyone that he had killed Arnav, but the truth was that he never intended to kill Arnav-his punishment was more severe than that. He wanted to torture Arnav and make him live a life more painful than death. This was his revenge on Arnav for taking Khushi from him. Every time Arnav tried to escape, Shyam’s men were ordered to beat him.

Khushi, who was standing behind Arnav, listened to his story with hateful tears spreading across her face. Hate for Shyam. She thought that she could never hate anyone more than she hated Shyam after learning about Arnav’s murder, but with every passing moment, her hate was growing stronger and stronger.

After Shyam had been released, Khushi insisted that they take Shyam home with them, little did they know that Khushi had her own plans. She felt Shyam was her and Arnav’s criminal and only they should have the right to punish him.

Payal and Akash tried to stop her but to no avail. When Khushi made a decision, she didn’t listen to anyone.

She argued that she will take Arnav and Shyam in her own car while Akash and Payal go home. Akash and Payal reluctantly agreed. They understood that Arnav and Khushi were there to protect each other this time, and when they were together, they didn’t need anyone else.

The drive was quiet. Khushi didn’t speak a word and neither did Shyam. Shyam was just relieved to finally be out in the open air. He could give up anything for this moment. “To hell with Khushi and Arnav!” he thought.

Khushi suddenly stopped at a deserted road and offered Arnav a walk in the park with her. Arnav could never refuse his wife who he had gotten back after so many years. He could do anything for her. He would walk to the moon and back for her.

She gently held his waist and helped him out of the car. They walked arm in arm while Shyam waited in the car for them.

Arnav suddenly heard a blast and turned around with Khushi to see the car in flames and Shyam screaming inside it.

“This was my revenge for you,” Khushi smiled at him, leaving Arnav astonished. He never knew his Khushi could become so ruthless to take someone’s life.

“I had to do it,” Khushi explained as if understanding Arnav’s unspoken words. “He would have never let us live in peace and so I had to--”

“Ssshhhh, I don’t need to hear how you did it. Let this be our new beginning. Just me and you.”

And with that Arnav sealed his lips with Khushi’s pouted ones.

Entry 2: 10 years and counting…

Writer: m4manju

He looked at the screen of his phone which was blinking and flashing a reminder. “7 days to go” it read. It was not a reminder of any upcoming business meet nor any event which he was invited to attend but it was something personal. A change that happened with the mighty ASR over last decade, he now gave utmost importance to the events in his personal life as much as to his professional life, if not more. All thanks to a lady who walked into his life exactly a decade ago! 10 years since meeting her first, 9 years since being blissfully married to her and having 3 kids together, he still felt like he had met her just yesterday. That was the charisma of his lady love, his wife and his better-nay-best half, Mrs. Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada! Uttering it, her name woven together with his, gave him some sort of high, every single freaking time! Over the years, he had made this habit of marking the calendar for all important dates all year around. After daring to forget initial 3 wedding anniversaries, he swore not to give Her Highness any chance to complain. So he make calendar entries of ALL their special days, except her birthday and his babies’ birthdays of course. He would NEVER forget those days until his dying breath and wont ever need a reminder for those 3 dates! And the upcoming event was, 10th anniversary when his life was blessed with ‘Khushi’, when someone up in the skies blessed him with her, for God-knows-what good deed he did to deserve her!

He still remembered their 3rd wedding anniversary, 28th September 2015! The day when he dared to forget his wedding anniversary, again. But the way that evening turned out to be, he still gets goosebumps remembering it. An intimate celebration between just the two of them followed by Khushi’s confession that they indeed were going to have a baby soon, as Akash had hinted earlier. Apparently, Khushi had confided in her jiji when she missed her period and that led to Payal and Akash knowing about their ‘good news’ even before she told him. That was not a big deal though, as much as getting pregnant just a month after deciding to try to conceive was. They had decided to start trying for a baby, but he thought it will take a while before that actually happened. After all they recently went off the birth control. But apparently ,they were ‘very good’ at ‘trying’.

Their firstborn, their son, Kavish was born on one rainy morning in June 2016. Just like the monsoon season, which brings with it unlimited joy, their son did bring with him happiness in abundance. He was one happy child, he still is! At tender age of 5, his 5th birthday being 2 weeks from today, another event for which he did not need a calendar reminder ever, his son was a very understanding little person one could ever meet. And credit goes to their joint family for that. When Kavish was born, the Raizada house was already abuzz with giggles and wailings of Payal and Akash’s 6-month-old daughter, Piya. But Kavish Singh Raizada has his own charm! No wonder the media was crazy about their eldest! That was until his twin daughters arrived to give a tough competition to their ‘bhaiyya’! The media was obsessed with Raizada kids, much to Arnav and khushi's dismay.

Arnav still chuckles remembering the days prior to Kavish’s naming ceremony. So as per tradition, Anjali, being baby’s aunt was supposed to choose a name. But Anjali had asked them if they had any name in mind and she would just announce the same. Khushi was already calling him ‘chikku’, a fruit she craved during her pregnancy and ate in abundant, surging her sugar levels dangerously high, while his nani and Khushi’s buaji were calling his son ‘laddu gopal’. Only he was the one who did not have a nickname for the little guy yet. So, coming to have areal name, they were certain that they did not want anything that started with an A, since having another ASR was not something they fancied that time. Arnav had a name in mind but that was for a baby girl, for he was certain they were having a girl. But ‘mr. happy face’ proved him wrong and certainly could not be named Kavya as Arnav thought! He had chosen that name because it had K for Khushi and A for Arnav! But obviously that name was redundant now. So, after a few brainstorming sessions Anjali finally came up with a perfect name, Kavish! It also had K for Khushi, A for Arnav and wish/vish which made it Kavish, and it had a nice meaning too – ‘kind of poets’!

Fast forward another 3 years, everyone started pestering them with questions on when they were planning another child. He used to roll his eyes at that while his wife would blush a shade of crimson. But the questions never stopped. Clearly the world loved to see them make beautiful babies. So much for not interfering in a couple’s private life! He used to just smile at those questions, for he knew that, ‘that’ would never happen! He was way too careful to never get Khushi pregnant again, because one time was enough to see her go through a horrible pain called labor! Over the years he was extra careful and used to keep a track of her cycle, days to avoid getting close to her, no matter how tempting it was. And if her period was even a day or 2 late, he was the one freaking out more than his wife! Those were times when Khushi used to swear by his favorite term, ‘what the’! but he cared a damn!. He would just pray for her ‘time of the month’ aka ‘aunt flow’ to start already!

His faith was another thing that changed over these years. It all started when Khushi was being wheeled inside the OT during Kavish’s birth, her cries gave him a panic attack and he automatically dashed to the Ganesha idol inside the hospital, where luckily there was a small idol of Devi Maiyya too. He realized that he was not able to write his destiny all the time after all. And so, he prayed and prayed. And finally, a night of cries, patience and prayers later, they were blessed with their son. If Kavish’s birth made him pray to Devi Maiyya for the safety of his wife and their child, Khushi’s next pregnancy made him keep ‘mannat’ for the wellbeing of his adamant wife who insisted on going ahead with this pregnancy even after knowing it was risky, given hear weak health and anemic condition! And that made him, the ASR, a staunch devotee of Khushi’s favorite deity. Though he was against them having another child and took all measures to never let it happen, but when it happened nevertheless, Khushi refused to terminate the pregnancy. He was scared for her life would have been an understatement. He tried everything, cajoling her, talking to her, begging her, blackmailing her even but she did not budge! ‘My babies won’t harm me’ she said in protest every time. So after strict instructions to take bed rest and assurance from her doctor that she was safe and it was not as life threatening to carry the babies to full term as he was making it sound like, he gave in. And finally at the end of all the tension, all the apprehensions, they got beautiful fruits of their pain and patience. How could he stay mad, when her stubbornness gave him the precious bundles of joy, his twin daughters, Arohi (aka Aru) and Shreeya (aka Shree/Pari). Arohi again was a combination of their names, Arnav and Khushi, while the name Shreeya was chosen by his nani and di, which is a name of Goddess and brought luck as they believed. The nicknames were again given by Khushi and him, they reserved those rights!

20th January 2020, the day when he was blessed with his twin daughters! 5 painful hours and his numerous prayers later, the doctors informed him that he was blessed with 2 daughters and his wife was doing well, though under sedatives. Also, one of the babies, Pari, was diagnosed with weak lungs so had to be kept under observation in NICU. He still felt flinched remembering how his heart skipped a bit at that, how sometime later when Khushi was handed with only 1 baby, she asked about the other one and how they were allowed to look at their other baby only through the glass door. Khushi was inconsolable those 3 days until they were handed their other baby. Finally, when they came home with both the babies, nani arranged a big pooja to ward off any evil and bless the new mother and kids. Though Khushi could not sit through the entire pooja time as she was still weak and had to nurse the babies time to time, Arnav happily sat for the pooja, holding Kavish in his lap. He was eternally grateful to the deities for his family and keeping Khushi and his kids safe, he would have done anything for that right now, sitting through a pooja was a small deal.

Their 8th wedding anniversary in Sept 2020, was a blissful celebration with his family, his 4-year-old son and 7-month-old daughters. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, he was working from home, just like most of the world and all of AR staff. He was thankful for this blessing in disguise, as this made him spend maximum time with Aru and Shree, the time he wished he could have spent with Kavish too. No matter how much he tried, when Kavish was a baby, some of his professional commitments kept him away from them for days at times. And even if Khushi understood his dilemma and did not complain much, he knew she missed him, as did he. Before the birth of his son, he never spent a day without Khushi, he always took her with him to any domestic or international travels. But since the time their eldest was born, that dynamic changed. It was not always easy to travel with an infant at toe, though they still tried to do that as much as they could.

Talking about their babies, if Kavish was a mamma’s boy and also resembled Khushi, except his eyes which was a direct copy of Arnav’s eyes, Aru was a daddy’s girl nature-wise and otherwise. Same face cut, same smile, same sharpness and same temper! Arohi was a true ‘junior ASR’ amongst his 3 kids! She kept Arnav and Khushi on toes for almost a year and if not given the attention when she asked, whole Shantivan used to get shaken with her loud cries. It would then be a task for them to calm her down. Shreeya on the other hand was a blessing, the calmest of all 3 kids, she was a true angel, a pari as he nicknamed her. They always found it cute how Kavish and Aru mostly resembled one of them, but Shree aka Pari was a perfect combination of both of them, a beautiful blend. She was the calmest baby one would have ever seen. Partly due to her weak health since birth and partly because Aru stole most of the attention. Given that she was very weak when she was born, only her mother was allowed to handle her for almost 2 months to avoid any infections. How Arnav used to crave to hold his other daughter! It was then he understood the cliché, ‘parents love all their kids equally, no matter how many’. He loved all 3 of them with so much passion that he was scared it would make his heart burst. When he fell in love with Khushi, the concept of love was still alien to him. He thought it was a fake and overrated emotion. Boy, was he wrong! Fast forward 10 years, love for him was synonym with his wife Khushi and their 3 babies! Pure unadulterated love where there was no trace of fakeness!

“Dad-a” he felt a tap on his cheek and looked at the person demanding his attention, his now 1.5-year-old daughter, Aru. He didn’t realize when his train of thought went on for so long that Aru completed her nap and was now up. Thankfully Pari was still asleep. Arnav lifted her and stepped outside of the girls’ room, so his other daughter still completed her afternoon nap while his wife and son were busy completing some schoolwork. His son, though attending school online, was a sharp boy but still needed his mamma to help him ensure his work was complete.

The week went by quickly and soon it was ‘the-day’, 10th anniversary of the first time their paths crossed. If not for the ongoing pandemic, Arnav would have planned a gate away for them or at least a fancy dinner at Khushi’s (and Kavish’s) favorite five-star diner. But the ongoing situation restricted that. That did not mean he did not plan anything though because he surely did. A 7-course dinner at home with the help of Payal and naniji, and her favorite red rose, he made sure his wife felt every bit special. And sure, she did, if going by the way she decorated their bedroom with candles and rose petals while he was reading a bed time story to Kavish, and the night that followed with the passionate love they made to commemorate the day! Whoever said love fades away with time surely did not meet Arnav and Khushi, because for them, love only multiplied with time and was going on in infinite loop! smiley27

******************************

Finishing their breakfast all settle down in living room waiting for Arnav to start.

"So now chhote tell us what is special day today" said Anjali.

Taking deep breath Arnav start telling glancing khushi "Aaj se 10 saal pahile Ek 'Hate Love Story' suru hue jisme nafrat thi itni ki wo pass na aa sakhe, jisme mohabbat thi itni ki wo door na ja sakhe. Wo samajh nahin pa rhe the ki ye sab kya ho rha hai, iss feeling ko or 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' aur 'Beauty and Beast Story' jaha beauty ne beast ko aapne prince charming mein badal diya." By stating Arnav khushi lost in their first met after that how their life turn up and down like roller coaster. They come back from memory land hearing NK loud voice. (A 'Hate Love Story' started 10 years from today, in which there was so much hatred that they could not come close, in which there was love so much that they could not go away. They could not understand what all this was happening, this feeling and 'What Naam Should Give To This Love' And 'Beauty and Best Story' where Beauty turned Beast into her Prince Charming.)

"Beauty and Beast story, ye story mene dekhi hai but mujhe nahi pata tha ki ye 10 Years ago start hue thi" said Nk in confuse. (Beauty and Beast story, I have seen this story but I did not know that it started 10 years ago)

"NK bhai jo aapne Beauty and Beast ki story dekhi hai ye wo story nahi hai, ye to aapne ghar ki Beauty and Beast ki story hai" said Anjali smiling. (NK bhai you have seen the story of Beauty and Beast this is not that story, This is the our house story of Beauty and Beast)

"Aapni ghar ki story, I didn't understand" said Nk not understanding what is Anjali telling. (Our house story, I didn't understand)

"I will explain you NK bhai" said Anjali and star explaining NK "aapne ghar ki Beauty means Khushi ji aur beast & Prince charming means Chhote. So basically aapne ghar ki Beauty and Beast ki story chhote aur khushiji ki hai. Ab samajhe aap". (Our house beauty Means Khushi ji and Beast & Prince Charming Means Chhote. So basically our house story of Beauty and Beast is chhote and khushiji story. Now you understand)

"Ab samajha main. Nannav aur khushiji ki story ko suru huye 10 saal ho gaye but nannav ne kaha tha ki unki story sheesh mahal suru hue thi to iska matlab nannav aur khushiji ko first time sheesh mahal mein mile huye 10 saal ho gaye. Wow that great." Said NK understanding. ( Now I understand. It has been 10 years since Nannav and khushiji story started but Nannav had said that their story was started at the Sheesh Mahal, so it means that it has been 10 years since Nannav and Khushi ji met in the first time Sheesh Mahal. Wow that great.)

"Ya that is exactly. Aaj wohi special din hai jab 10 saal pahile main khushi se mila tha and that special moment jab khushi mere bahome giri thi." Said Arnav. ( Ya that is exactly. Today is the special day when I met Khushi 10 years ago and that special moment when khushi fell in my arms)

"It's Moment to Celebrate, kya kahate ho aap sab is din ko hame celebrate karna chahiye ya nahi." Said Akash (It's Moment to Celebrate, What do you all say we should celebrate this day or not)

"Bilkul Akash ji hum jaroor celebrate krege but different way se to iske liye kuch idea soch jaldi." Said Payal supporting Akash. (Of course Akash ji, we will definitely celebrate but in different way, so think of some ideas for it soon)

Everyone thinking about idea to celebrate this day. After sometime later NK speak.

"Guys I got some idea." Said Nk taking all the people attention towards his.

"Hello hi bye bye, konsa idea NK Babuwa" said Manorama. ( Hello hi bye bye, which idea NK Babuwa)

"Kyu na hum wo moment re-create kre jab nannav aur khushi ji pahili baar mile the i.e fashion show wala scene jaha khushi ji nannav k bahome land hue thi." Said NK telling his idea. (Why don't we re-create the moment when Nannav and Khushi ji met for the first time? A fashion show scene where Khushi ji landed in Nannav arms)

"What is the idea NK bhai." Said Anjali immediately.

" What? bilkul nahi." Said khushi shocked. (What? No way)

"Pr kyu nahi khushi ji, wase bhi sab ne wo telecast dekha tha fir mene hi nahi dekha mujhe bhi dekhna hai please khushi ji maan jayena" said NK making puppy eyes face. (Why not khushi ji, Anyway everyone had seen that telecast, I only did not see it, I have to see it too, please khushi ji agree to it.)

"Arre ha abhi mujhe yaad aaya, khushi ji aapko yaad hai jab aap pahili baar is ghar me sari leke aai thi aur mene kaha tha ki mene aapko kahi dekha hai pr yaad nahi aa raha kaha pr to" asked Anjali khushi nodded "abhi yaad aaya mene aapko tv pe dekha tha mere chhote k bahome" said Anjali teasing. (Hey i just remembered, khushi ji you remember when you first came to this house with a saree and I said that I have seen you somewhere but I can't remember where are)(Just remembered i saw you on tv in my Chhote arms). Everyone glance Arnav for his acceptance.

"I don't have any issue infact I will be glad if we re-create that moment. Mujhe Khushi ke sath romance krne to milega" said Arnav mumbled last sentence himself. (I will get to romance with khushi)

"Dekhiye khushi ji chhote ko bhi koi problem nahi hai ab aap bhi maan jaye na. Hum sab ko wo scene live dekhana hai, please." Said Anjali requested khushi. (See khushi ji, even the chhote has no problem, now you also agree. All of us want to see that scene live, please.)

"Ine kyu hogi problem, romance jo krne milega ine" think khushi in mind glaring Arnav and Nodded yes. ( Why will he having problem, he will get do romance)

Everyone started discussing about arranging and preparation.

******************************

It's evening stage are ready, all arrangements done. Everyone seated right side of stage where seating is arranged and Arnav seated left side of stage like he seated lucknow fashion show. NK is the host of today event. NK come on stage and started event.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen. We all are gathered here to celebrate 10 year for special day of nannav and khushi ji. So dil thaam ke baithiye. " Said NK to start event. (so sit to holding heart)

All light went off and suddenly spots light on there appears khushi all nervous. Khushi saw all of them, she freezes and closes her eyes in prayer like she did lucknow fashion show. As soon as she closes her eyes, Arnav opens his. Khushi open her eyes when the models lead her to the front.

Khushi & Arnav stand face to face as Khushi stands at the front of the stage. Arnav is lost in her beauty. Khushi is looking beautiful same as 10 Years before infact more than that. Arnav forgot his surroundings there only he and his khushi. Khushi saw towards Arnav and She pulls up her dupatta over herself. She also lost in Arnav dark brown eyes.

After sometime later she come out off love vibes and begins to run off, but trips on her dupatta and falls off the stage into Arnav's arms. Arnav & khushi stare each other and Arnav hold her more firmly. The background music start making moment more romantic. Arnav eyes obviously flick from her Hazel eyes to her shivering lips and back to her eyes.

Both don't know how long they are like that lost each other. Everyone looking them and praying happy life even after for them. After 10 year everyone witness of that special moment from where start unique love story.

Entry 4: Miracles

Writer: Just-do-it

Perched at the foot of the bed that she had just prepared for the night, Khushi Singh Raizada looked over as Arnav Singh Raizada, her husband shrugged into a T-shirt for the night. She ran an appreciative glance over his freshly showered, lean, muscular torso as she tried to insert the pillows and throw pillows into fresh covers.

“So, Khushi?” He hesitated watching her. “How does a trip sound?”

Khushi glanced at him in surprise, “what trip?”

“Dad, are you going to take us to Universal?” Dhruv, their 7 year old son asked from where he sat playing with his 4 year old sister, Tara. Well, he was playing with his racing track and Tara, who adored her elder brother, hovered around him trying to fit in. Dhruv, who adored her right back tried to include and indulge her as much as he could.

Arnav turned his head to look at his son’s brightened face and said, “Not this time, Dhruv. Let’s keep that for your summer holidays.”

“Okay,” he shrugged and went back to playing while Arnav opened his bag and handed Khushi the travel brochures that the agency sent over when he had enquired. Turning to the mirror in the dressing table to fix his hair, he met her gaze in it and said, “Pick a place.”

While Khushi briefly sifted through them and kept shuffling, Arnav came to sit beside her, “let’s both go have some fun. Australia?” He asked casually, holding up the first one in the list.

“I don’t want to roam the streets with Kangaroos. There are probably more of them than people.”

He lifted his brows slightly at that. “Let’s see what else there is.”

“Dubai? Shopping? Burj Khalifa?”

Delhi Ki garmi kya kam hai? Dubai mein surya snan nahi lena humein (Is Delhi any less hot? I don’t want to sun bath in Dubai).”

“What— oh sun bath?” He chuckled and she bobbed her head getting up to arrange the pillows at the head of the bed.

“Paris? You can’t say no to Paris.”

“I hear thieving and burglary is too prevalent—

“How about the moon?” Arnav asked, not-so-effectively trying to convey his displeasure at her non-enthusiasm as he heard her gasp with her mouth open, “Can we go to the moon now? I — She began but Arnav finally snapped, “Kya farak padhta hai? I’m sure you’ll find a reason as to why one shouldn’t visit.”

She gazed at him, utterly chagrined. “Arnavji, Between the tiffin service, children, school, homework and ghar ka kaam, I seem to be doing million things in a day.”

Arnav frowned. “You’re entitled to a little rest, you know? Let’s go some place serene and relax in a resort.”

Khushi shook her head. “I already live in one. Shantivan is no less than a resort. What else do I need? I am lucky and happy where I am.”

“Khushi it’s just a change of scene. A weekend at the most.”

Khushi walked over to Arnav and pressed an unexpected kiss to his cheek. “You thought of planning something and it made me so happy. Thank you, Arnavji. Now I need to give Nani her medicine and then put the kids to bed. I’ll be right back.”

“Khush—

But she was gone.

Dhruv looked at Arnav’s scowling face hearing him mutter. “What the hell am I supposed to do with her?”

“Dad, language!” He said, imitating what his parents usually told him when he used a naughty word.

“Sorry,” he said to him and to himself he said, “Why did I even think this was a good idea?”

“Did you want to plan a surprise for her?” Dhruv asked and Arnav gave a slight nod.

Arnav turned curious eyes to meet his son’s as the latter casually commented, “There’s a place she would never say no to.”

Two days passed and Arnav did not say a word about the vacation to her. And he was perfectly polite and civil to her. His laad governor behavior she could take but this was quite alarming.

“Are you angry?” Khushi broached later that night when she had settled in bed.

“Why would I be?” He said coolly and brushing back the covers on the bed, got in. He turned to his side, switched off the lamp and tried to sleep. Reaching up, Khushi tugged at his T-shirt in an attempt to make him turn towards her, which he did. She reached her arms around his neck, drawing him closer.

Ab theek hai,” she said kissing his neck and in spite of himself, Arnav grinned but caught himself before she could see.

“Are you going to keep scowling? It does look good on you but—

“Khushi, shut up. I know you’re trying to distract me.”

“I was doing no such thing. Even if I were trying, I don’t think it’s working anyway,” she retorted with a humph.

“It might if you did a better job of it. But you’re only getting on my nerves now.”

Yeh laad governor wala chehra humein mat dikhana. Hum aapke nachane se naachne walon main se nahi hai, samhje aap? (Don’t show me this lord governor face. I am not one to dance to your tunes, you understand?)”

“Nahi ho? (Are you not?)” His brows rose in amusement as he sang in a low tone, “bheethar bheethar aag jale!”

And her hands immediately came up to cover his mouth, “Shh, Arnavji!”

He moved her hands away swiftly, “What happened? Does that remind you of something?”

Her lips curved into an embarrassed smile.

“Arnavji, I know you’re trying to plan something for our anniversary.”

“You had a problem when I didn’t remember it. And you have a problem when I try to take you away for a vacation?” He asked, his voice resonating with hurt. “You know most wives would readily switch places with you.”

“When did I say I’m not excited. It’s just that—

A knock sounded on their door followed by the crying voice of their daughter, “Amma, Papa, the door is locked.”

While Tara had loved the idea of having her own bed to sleep and sharing room with her bhai, she almost always ended up going to her parents’ room midway through the night.

Arnav sighed and jumped out of bed to open the door, “Hey, baby?” He cajoled, lofting her up and bringing her in and handing her over to her mother.

And the conversation was dropped.

The following morning, Payal caught Khushi aside and asked, “Khushi, Arnavji was saying you don’t want to go on a vacation with us. Why not?”

“What? You’re also going?” Khushi looked surprised.

“Yes. Akash ji told me we will all go so I thought it will be fun.”

“And the kids?”

“Pagli. What are you asking? Of course, they’ll come with us. I thought we’ll have so much fun. Now that we are going to stay at sheesh Mahal. You love the place—

“We’re staying at sheesh Mahal?”

Laad governor. He didn’t tell her anything!

“Aapne bataya nahi we are not going alone. You could have told me Jiji and Jiju are coming and we’re taking the kids.”

Arnav gave a disinterested shrug, “Does it matter? I thought I matter enough to you for you to be convinced about going on a holiday with me.”

“Arnavji, I thought... when you said let’s go and have some fun...”

“You’re not the only one that loves the children, Khushi. I was only trying to prank you the other day. But I don’t think there’s anything wrong in us taking some time off. You’ve become so busy that you don’t have time for me anymore? Can there be no plans that includes only us?”

She stared at him, her eyes tearing up. She didn’t know why she was emotional. “It’s not that. You know you are my whole world. I don’t want you to think otherwise. How could you think that?”

“Khushi...”

“I just... It’s probably just me. I have never really left them since they were born. And Tara is only four. She still needs me to go to sleep. And Dhruv, he always comes running to me after school with all these stories...”

Arnav smiled softly as he watched her. This was his Khushi. Little things mattered to her more than anything. He knew her happiness was with him and yet it would never be complete without their children.

He pulled her into an embrace and kissed her softly on the lips. “We’re not leaving them, Khushi. I never intended to. Not this time at least...”

She smiled through her tears, “you’re not upset with me?”

He shook his head in a no.

“Promise?”

He kissed her softly rubbing a finger down her cheek, “So, are we doing this?”

He looked at her face intently and saw quiet joy lit up the wide hazel of her eyes.

“Yes,” she whispered quietly just before his mouth covered hers.

Standing near the balustrade on the rooftop deck in Sheesh Mahal, Arnav looked in admiration at the majestic gardens where Khushi and their daughter kneeled, watering the flowers. He had a full time gardener in place to keep the gardens his mother had been so fond of, in pristine condition. And Tara, since the moment they had arrived earlier that day had been fascinated by it. The mother-daughter duo, so similar to each other, seemed to be having an intense conversation where Khushi was telling her something and her little head was bobbing, listening to whatever her mother was saying with apt concentration.

His son, who people said could have been his identical twin had they been of the same age, had just ridden off on his new bike that he drove everywhere in and out of the estate. Arnav chuckled to himself remembering how he had tried so hard to explain that he may not be able to ride it well right away only to have him get on and fly.

If he had any reservations about visiting, he now knew it was pointless for he felt nothing but peace.

Later that evening, there was a small celebration held at the estate with all the family and the Guptas. A week ago when Dhruv had said Khushi would never say no to Sheesh Mahal, Arnav had been surprised. He would never have guessed it. It wouldn’t even be in the last place if he had prepared a list.

So he had asked, “why so?”

“Because that’s where she met you.”

Of course! But that’s not what he wanted to remember right now. Leave it to her to romanticize something that should be erased from history.

“She always says, the place is very special to her despite what memories it might hold. And when we go to stay with Nana and Nani, we always go there. But she wishes you’d come with her one day. Because you won’t as you don’t like the place for some reason she said I can know when I’m old enough.”

Arnav had been taken aback that she had mentioned it to Dhruv and not him. But then why would she?

He mentioned that to Khushi later that night as they took a stroll around the house after everyone else had retired and the kids had gone to sleep.

His wife tipped her face up to his, her eyes so full of emotions as she said, “Thank you for bringing me here...” but stopped seeing him shake his head. He took their clasped hands towards his mouth and gently kissed it and in a voice constricted with emotions, said, “Thank you for bringing me here and allowing me to make new memories. I didn’t even realize I needed it.”

She smiled, tightening her hands convulsively on his and turned her face, “Happy anniversary, Arnavji.”

“Happy anniversary, Khushi,” he said and in a flash, swept her up in his arms.

She squealed in surprise, “Arnavji, what are you doing?”

“Something I should have done ten years ago when you fell right into my arms. Or when you told me that even if I was writing my own destiny, it must be Devi Mayya who was holding my hand. Fool that I was, I refused to believe in miracles then.”

“So now you believe in miracles?” She persisted as he walked towards the house.

“I had to.”

“Acha, why?”

“After the way we met and after everything I have done, I sometimes cannot believe that we are here now. Khushi, I was lucky to have had an incredible family even after I lost my parents. But you... you loved me when I didn’t love me. When I gave you no reason to. You have given me hope and two wonderful children. You represent goodness, love and every happiness I have ever known...”

His words filled her with so much contentment that Khushi thought she would burst with it. Arnav looked into the infinite depths of her eyes where he saw only sweet love and glee and he said, “this right here is my miracle...”

Entry 5: 10 years and counting… from Khushi’s eyes

Writer: m4manju

Khushi looked from the kitchen counter at the father-son duo. They were busy playing some cricket videogame. Arnav was not much of a cricket fan earlier, but one would debate he knew much more about the cricket history now than he did about any other sport, courtesy his son! It was funny how Kavish, their 5 year old son, made Arnav not only sit through the live cricket matches being telecasted on TV but also play video games related to the sport. And Arnav happily gave into his demands. He no doubt was a doting father to her ‘chikku’ and to his 2 princesses. She smiled thinking about that.

“Mamma food” came a voice from behind her and Khushi turned to look at her 1.5-year-old daughter Arohi, who was sitting in her stroller and asking for her meal. Her other twin daughter, Shreeya was with nani and was probably taking a nap. Khushi often wondered how her twin daughters Arohi and Shreeya were so different from one another. Not only in looks, because that they were, Aru was Arnav’s Xerox copy while Shree was a beautiful blend of them, his eyes-her smile but they also were different in personalities. Aru was very impatient and always demanded-nay-commanded attention, while Shree was very calm, very patient child. No one would notice there was a baby around for shree was that calm. They all used to joke saying shreeya was a reincarnation of some saint or philosopher!

Khushi remembered when she and Arnav first started trying to get pregnant. It was shortly after her 25th birthday and to be honest, that was her birthday wish! Though he argued that she herself was still a baby, he eventually agreed that it was not such a bad idea. “Your wishes are my dreams” he said. Another benefit to it was he really enjoyed every bit of the process, specially the ‘trying’ part!

She remembers the days of her first pregnancy, the crazy pampering by whole Gupta and Raizada clan, specially a certain laad governor who seemed to have made his office in their bedroom to be available for her all the time. And then how he panicked when she was in labor and how half of their family’s attention went on to pacify him and tell him she was fine. He had made her swear that she will not make him go through it again, as if he were the one pushing a baby out from his body! But she understood he said all that because he was afraid of seeing her in pain, of losing her. And then there were their twin daughters. Despite him taking all precautions, they found themselves pregnant again after their yearly summer holiday in 2019. “I should have just gone ahead with the operation after Kavish’s birth” he had cursed frustrated, after she refused to terminate the pregnancy. Khushi always knew he would eventually get over his initial fear and come around. And that is what happened. Whatever little apprehensions he had about their second child; it all went out of the window the moment he held their daughters. The world watched in awe as a once dreaded ruthless business tycoon ASR tuned into a most loving and mushy as it can get, family man for his wife and kids! She would always visit AR when Kavish was little, but those trips reduced after she was pregnant with their twins and later because Covid pandemic happened. They always used to say that while 2020 might have been a difficult year for everyone, it brought them their angels. They cannot imagine their life without their daughters Arohi and Shreeya aka Pari.

Naming their kids was another story. Arnav had successfully convinced her to not name their baby boy ‘Prem’ or ‘Chulbul’, as her Salmanji’s characters names from his movies were apparently too ‘tacky’ for their son. He eventually let her call him ‘chikku’ while his official name was decided as Kavish. It’s another matter altogether that very few in their home called himby that name. He was ‘laddu gopal’ for buaji and nani, ‘champ’ for nanheji and akash jiju, ‘kishu’ for her amma and babuji and ‘kavish’ for the rest. Arohi and Shreeya’s names were decided relatively easily. And while it was decided against having any more nicknames for the Raizada kids, they still had a bunch of them. ‘Aru’, ‘Princess arohi’, ‘Shree’, ‘pari’ to name a few!

She handed the food tray to HP, with daliya for Arohi and pari and picked up Arohi to walk into the twins’ room. While she fed aru her food, kavish walked in the room. He put his arms around her neck from the backand kissed her on her cheek, something he always did to shower his love on his mamma. Khushi caressed his hair, kissed him on his cheek and head, and told himto get freshen up and come for dinner. When he made a fuss about it, she knew how to get her eldest’s attention.

“Aru, do you know I made halwa puri today? But what to do, you and pari cannot eat it and your bhaiyya does not want to eat. I will just give it all to your piya didi.” Khushi talked to arohi who understood very little and just giggled, but it caught kavish’s attention as he ran into bathroom to get freshen up and dash out for his favorite meal. Khushi chuckled at her ‘chikku’s’ antics.

When she walked in their room later that night, Arnav was feeding Pari. She doubted if he remembered what was special about next day. But given that he always celebrated their smallest anniversaries in past few years, she was sure he would remember. Besides, if he remembered or not, she had planned something for him. They could not go out for any of the birthdays or anniversaries since last year due to pandemic, including the twins’ first birthday, but that would not stop them from celebrating things!

Her mind went back to the day that was tomorrow, 10 years since the day when their paths first crossed! Most eventful 10 years! They went through so much through it all, got married, fought with each other, fought with enemies like Shyam and dadi, remarried, traveled the world, had beautiful babies and most importantly fell in love with each other more with each passing day! Sure, there were problems and ups and downs in their way, but they held onto each other.

“what are you thinking?” Arnav asked holding 2 mugs of what she knew would be ,badam-doodh, walking in their room. Since the time of her first pregnancy, when doctors told them she needed to improve her calcium intake, he had made this habit of having ‘almond-milk’ every night. She used to complain saying she did not like the taste but, in her heart, she adored him for his gesture.

“nothing much, just thinking about how our lives changed in last few years” she replied, honestly.

“any regrets?” he asked with a small smile on his lips. He knew the answer well still needed assurances from time to time

“maybe one.” There was mischief clearly visible in her eyes

“what’s that?” he asked frowning.

“I couldn’t marry Salman khan ji” she replied with fake sincerity and pout and looked at him. It took him a few seconds to absorb what she was saying and then they both burst in laughter.

A while later, as they were settled in their favorite spot at poolside (though the pool was now covered, thanks to ‘babyproofing the house’), she leaned onto him. His hands instinctively wrapped around her shoulders.

“I don’t think we can plan a lot for tomorrow” he said a little later.

“Hum jaante hain (I know) but its ok, we’ll celebrate all pending anniversaries when the world is littler safer for that” she tried to tell him that it was ok. And he knew at that moment, they had surely come a long way! She was no longer that 22-year-oldgirl who lived a little too much in her ‘filmy world’ but a 32-year-old woman, a wife, a mother, a working woman in her might and he was proud of her! Proud of them! She was still cheerful, the life of their house, the breeze of happiness in his life but she acquired few new qualities to her personality and that made her even more charming.

The next day went by rather too quickly. Having 3 kids around only gave them so much of time and to top that, they had their individual businesses to take care of. His ‘AR’ and her ‘Gupta foods’. Soon it was evening and ASR started his plan. Khushi was busy with a call with an NGO, about sending food packets to help them, when he took over the kitchen with Payal and nani’s help. A simple yet special 7 course dinner for her! She felt overwhelmed by the preparations at dinner table and blinked her eyes to stop her tears as she proceeded to sit on the table. The dinner went with chit chat and happy conversations, for it was a known fact that the whole family sat together for dinner, unless they went out or unless one of the babies needed attention and dinner had to be taken later or in the kids’ room. But she knew he was craving to spend some cozy moments with her. Through their hectic schedules, it was becoming more and more difficult for them to get some time just for each other. So, they used to look forward to special days like these.

Unknown to him, she had also planned something for him too. Their bedroom was decorated with rose petals, scented candles and the fairy lights. And then there she was, near the foot of their bed, on the other side, draped in a cherry-red color saree, her hair on one side of the shoulder, wavy and shining, and minimal jewelry, her Mangalsutra, bindi, diamond chandeliers as her earrings and kohl filled eyes! One look on his face and she knew her efforts were appreciated. And then he showed her later that night just how much he loved what she did for him.

“no one will believe you have given birth to 3 kids, Khushi” as they were lying in each other’s arms later that night, his complement on her body, made her blush a dark shade of crimson.

“can I tell you a secret?” she asked. A thousand thoughts went through his minds after that, another baby?, She planning to go to Lucknow? Anything he did wrong? But he just ‘hmm'ed’ in response for her to continue.

“I am glad I fell in your arms that day and I am glad I did not marry Salman khan ji” her cheeky reply made him sigh in relief and then pull her into another kiss which eventually turned into much more!

Their life was as blissful as it could get, and they couldn’t wait for many more of such moments to come! smiley27

Entry 6: That One Moment

Writer: SlytherInMe.

10 years. 3650 days. 87600 hours. 5256000 minutes. 315400000 seconds.

In retrospect, 10 years may not seem to be a big deal. In fact, for most people, it was only 10% of their entire lifetimes and could have very well been the most mundane 10 years of their life. However, it is less about what had occurred in those 10 years but rather what had been so significant that it had been remembered for 10 years. If one were to break it down, to hold onto a single memory for 10 years would mean spending 315400000 seconds actively trying to piece together what had happened and to fixate a mental mirage of it.

One such memory had taken homage in her mind for the past 10 years, one that she wasn’t able to shake free nor did she have the desire to do so. As she sat on the bed, dipping biscuits in her chai - a habit her husband incessantly frowned upon and one that she exaggerated just for his attention – Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada reminisced what her life had been like 10 years ago. She heard a ruffling sound and looked over to her right at her peacefully sleeping husband who had looped his arm around her waist. Correction: what their life had been like 10 years ago.

In all honesty he had made her life a living hell back then. Many times, she felt that he would purposely execute new plans to torture her, perfectly tailored to push her buttons and amuse himself. Had he continued with his gruesome behavior, the attraction she had felt with him would have definitely been overshadowed. But somewhere along the way he had grown a soft spot for her and though he didn’t often express it, the small moments they had would put him back in her good books. There was a constant tug of war that would occur in her mind as she would be insanely confused by his hot and cold behavior.

However, there was one single moment that had solidified the attraction she felt towards him and the moment that had made her question if he really was the devil or just pretended to be. Even 10 years later, that singular event still had a huge impact on her life because if it weren’t for that moment, Khushi would have never found the soft soul hidden behind his devilish exterior.

She remembered the day as if it were yesterday, each detail fresh in her mind. She had been subtly crying all day because of Arnavji’s behavior towards her. Though she was no stranger to his brutal nature, his words had particularly pierced her heart for the past few days. Especially since she had attempted to console him during his grief, but in return he had insulted her and ordered her to leave the house. She stood in the gazebo, away from everyone and the party, contemplating what was so wrong with her that he couldn’t be nice to her for just once. Was she that terrible that every word that came out of his mouth for her had to be terrible and unapologetic? Had she put herself in this vulnerable position where anyone could pick her up to be used and thrown away at their discretion?

She had been lost in her thoughts when Arnav had approached her from behind and when she noticed his presence, she decided it was better to ignore him rather than engage with him. But as usual, Arnav had perceived her silence as dismissal and grabbed her arms in a tight grip. His fingers harshly pressed into her skin. Had they been his nails instead, they surely would have torn into her skin with the force he was applying. He was enraged by her dismissive behavior especially since he was attempting to apologize to her for his previous actions. She whimpered from the pain he was causing her and when he finally had removed his hands, red imprints of each one of his fingers were engraved into her skin.

If this was his way of apologizing, then Khushi didn’t want any part of it. Her eyes that were already swollen from her incessant crying, had yet again filled up and with each blink, tears spilled down her cheeks. Khushi called him out for not being able to apologize to her properly while explaining why she was equally saddened by the death anniversary of his parents. She was one of the few people that could understand his pain and had wanted to be there for him, but he had so rudely rebuked her offer. She wasn’t naïve and was aware that it was foolish to expect an apology for him and once she was satisfied that she had explained her side to the best of her ability, she turned to leave.

“Khushi” She stopped in her tracks at his calling and turned back to face him. A moment of silence followed and even though there was no sound, a thousand words had been said between the two in that small second. “Sorry.” Her eyes widened in shock and when her eyes met his, she saw that his tears mirrored her own. “Sorry. I’m really sorry.” She was at a loss of words and turned her back towards him in an attempt to regain some sort of verbal functionality. But it was too soon for her to recollect herself and with a hint of a smile, she ran away with the gloom slowly lifting off of her shoulders.

That night she had spent countless hours replaying his apology in her head and she had realized just how much he affected her. Everything from his words to his actions made a significant impact in her life and from then onwards, she noticed how every action of hers was a reaction to his.

Though this moment wasn’t a universal event that every couple celebrated such as a wedding or first date anniversary, it was one of the most special milestones to Khushi. This moment was completely unique to their love story and might have been the turning point in their tumultuous relationship as well. Had he not surpassed her expectations and apologized to her, Khushi would have never let him create a soft corner for him in her heart. She would have never considered her attraction for him as anything legitimate. She would have never opened her heart to him, giving him the power to either complete her or utterly destroy her. His one apology had gravitated her towards him and she was eternally grateful to him and for him.

She slowly snapped out of reliving that moment for the 315400000th time and snuggled in closer to her husband’s warmth. Khushi had never shared with Arnav how much she thought about this particular instance as she was sure the significance would be lost on him. Nor did she find it necessary because she knew he had a that one moment of his own he secretly cherished as well.
