Haan Har Ghadi:

-- Here is the link of the song for your reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPhvPuHiDLw

She snuggled closer into the pillows, anticipating the warmth that engulfed her each morning. She frowned at the absence of that warmth and roamed her hands towards the other side of the bed. Raavi opened her eyes and was met with an empty bed, her husband was not by her side, yet again. Irritated by his absence, she got up from the mattress and went to search for her husband.

She searched all around the house and found him where she least expected him to be, especially so early in the morning – the kitchen. “Shiva tu yaha kya kar raha hai? Voh bhi itne subhe subhe?” She enquired softly.

“Tere haath main chot aayi hai na? Aaj tere saara kaam main karunga. Tu bas hukum de aur main hazir.” He whispered to her softly, joining their foreheads together. A small smile adorned her face as she gazed at her husband in amazement. He smiled back at her and placed a kiss on her forehead, while walking towards the bathroom.

“Aur chinta maat kar. Maine Kaka se bol diya hai ke voh aur Krish aaj dukkan sambalenge. Mujhe toh chipkaliyo ki beauty queen ka ghulam bana hai aaj.” Shiva yelled back at her. Raavi threw a tomato at him in fake anger, but he had closed the bathroom door by then. Hearing his laughter from the other side of the door, Raavi chuckled herself.

As she waited for Shiva to finish showering, she thought about how much her life had changed in the past eight months since she got married to Shiva. She had watched him transform from an angry young man who wouldn’t pass up a single opportunity to taunt her to an angry young man who had a special soft corner just for her. As unexpected as it was, Shiva had accepted their marriage long before she had, and it might have been the saving grace of their relationship. Every single day he paved his way to her heart, and she soon realized just how lucky she was to have him. The little things he began to do for her slowly but surely healed her heart. It was in those little things did she find her solace and his love for her.

haan har ghadi har peher har disha mein tum ho main dekhe thi hoon jidhar

She was brought back to the present when she heard the bathroom door unlock and saw her husband walk out in her pink towel. She couldn’t help but giggle at both the sight and the memories that particular towel held. While Shiva watched her curiously, Raavi couldn’t help but think back to memory lane.

It had been about two and a half weeks into their marriage and they had spent most of the time fighting like cats and dogs. They had always argued since they were children, but their fights had taken a nasty turn ever since their marriage. They would obnoxiously scream, pull each other’s hair, and even throw things at one another in frustration. It was in the middle of one of these fights that Shiva had become increasingly furious and in fear of physically hurting Raavi, he had taken her towel and ripped it into shreds within minutes.

Raavi had stared at him in horror, and though it was just a mere towel – she felt something snapping within her. She had already been at the tip of the iceberg and Shiva’s actions had toppled her over, and it was as if time had stopped, and she just kept falling for what seemed like an eternity. Shiva had expected a similar reaction from her but instead found her a sobbing mess near their bed. He tried instigating her, pulling any other reaction from her besides crying but she continued to sob her heart out.

He picked up the towel that he had torn to shreds and though it had given him joy a few seconds ago, now he felt as if his own heart had been torn. He quietly walked out of the room, fully aware that there was nothing he could do to console Raavi.

The next day Raavi had found the same exact pink towel hanging from a shelf in the bathroom and she stared in awe at its brand-new condition. When she had walked out drying her hair with the towel, she could see a trace of a smile on Shiva’s face, but he didn’t say anything to her about it. It was later that she had found out from Krish that Shiva had searched at least ten different shops to find the same exact towel as the one he had so mercilessly ripped.

Though they had never talked about it with each other, Raavi’s heart had healed just a bit from the incident. It was just a towel, but it was the first gift that Shiva had ever willingly gotten her, and it was the beginning of a new turn in their relationship. After that incident, no matter how much Raavi annoyed him or instigated him, Shiva tried his level best to remain calm – something truly out of the ordinary for him.

main muskurake tumhe jaan bhi ye dedo tum mangalo jo agar

She was once again pulled out her daydream when Shiva wrapped the towel around the back of her neck and brought her closer to him. She blushed at the proximity, looking everywhere but into his intense eyes. “Kya soch rahi hai? Zyada dimaag pe zor maath dal, vaise hi kam hai tera.” He said while laughing as she hit his arm with her uninjured hand.

“Kam se kam mere paas dimaag toh hai, tu toh paide hi hua tha bina bheja ke saath. Upar sar nahi hai, bhajiya hai voh bhi fried wala.” Shiva wholeheartedly laughed at her insult and while in the past he would have retorted back, today he just nipped her nose and smiled at her cuteness. Raavi pouted at his dismissal, but his next words melted her heart, “Acha ab batao rani saiba, aaj sabse pehle kya karna hai mujhe?”

Raavi smiled at him and pointed towards the vegetables on the kitchen counter. “Aaj meri cutting ki duty hai, toh ye saare vegetables kaatne hai. Tu karlega na?” She teased him, fully aware that he could do anything that he set his mind to. “Of course, roz toh tere pata kath tha hoon main, tujh jaise chipkali ke saamne ye aloo kya cheez hai.”

Raavi shook her head in amusement while Shiva began to cut all of the vegetables. She couldn’t take her eyes off of him as he looked so adorable while cutting the vegetables haphazardly, each slice of his was a different shape and size. He cutely pouted at the way the vegetables were turning out, but Raavi’s smile encouraged him to continue on.

haan har ghadi har peher har disha mein tum ho main dekhe thi hoon jidhar

Raavi noticed from the corner of her eye that Dhara and Rishita were watching her and Shiva secretly. The expressions on their faces gave away their clear jealously at Shiva’s care and concern for her. Raavi chuckled at their shocked faces, making a mental note to playfully tease them later on when they would sit down for their evening tea session.

She fondly remembered the event that had brought the three daughters in laws together and had finally resolved all the issues between them. This was yet another ointment her husband had administered.

It had been one month since Raavi and Rishita had married into Pandya Parivar, and Rishita still felt insecure about Dev and Raavi’s past relationship. Raavi had tried explaining to Rishita multiple times that what Dev and Raavi had in the past wasn’t even worth calling a relationship, but Rishita refused to believe her.

Another argument had festered between the two and as usual, Dhara had taken it upon herself to resolve the issue. For the past month, Dhara’s method had always been to lecture Raavi about being understanding because Raavi was her own bachi and therefore she felt more comfortable telling her what to do. “Raavi dekh tujhe samajna padega ki Rishita ko bhi insecurities hoti hai. Voh iss parivar main nayi aayi hai, hume usko welcome feel karana chaiye.” Dhara explained to Raavi.

Raavi silently nodded her head but internally she felt quite sad that her own Dhara Di always found faults in her and not anyone else. She wished that just once Dhara Di would take a stand for her, that she would support the person she so proudly called her bachi. However, just as previous times, Dhara Di was more concerned about Rishita’s feelings than Raavi’s.

“Hamesha Raavi hi kyu samajhe Bhabhi?” Everyone looked up in shock as no one had ever expected Shiva to question his Dhara Bhabhi. “Jabse usne mere saath shaadi ki hai, baath toh kya usne Dev ke taraf dekha bhi nahi hai. Phir bhi Rishita har dusre din usko sunathi hai. Aur aap Rishita se kuch nahi bolti ho, sirf Raavi se. Rishita ko bhi toh Raavi ki feelings samajne chaiye. Usko bhi toh thoda adjust karna hoga.”

Dhara bowed her head down in shame as she realized that she really had wronged Raavi in her quest to make Rishita feel comfortable. She had no words to say as she was quite ashamed of her actions, and sad that she had hurt her own bachi.

“Shiva tum beech main math bolo. Main jaanti hoon ke Raavi abhi bhi Dev se pyaar karthi hai aur tumse nafrat. Tabhi toh tum dono har din jagdha karthe rethe ho ye prove karne ke liye ke tum dono khush nahi ho.” Rishita retorted back to Shiva.

Shiva thought about yelling at her, but he controlled his anger in order to not further escalate the situation and did what he thought would shut her up for good. He pulled Raavi towards him and placed a small, sweet kiss on her lips. Everyone gasped at his action in shock and Raavi blushed profusely. She wasn’t able to meet anyone’s eyes especially his but when she finally looked up, she found him staring at her with a smile and she felt her own smile growing bigger.

“Main bahoth khush hoon iss rishte se,” Shiva declared while still holding onto Raavi. “Aur tum Raavi?” Gaumbi asked curiously. Raavi was too embarrassed to say anything but nodded her head shyly in agreement before running back to her room.

Later both Dhara Di and Rishita had apologized to her – Dhara for not taking her side and Rishita for taking her insecurities out on her. Raavi had forgiven them instantly and the three had begun their ritual of gossiping during evening tea sessions. The first topic they had discussed was of course Shiva and Raavi’s kiss which had left Raavi a blushing mess as the other two teased her endlessly. One more part of her heart has healed as well.

main muskurake tumhe jaan bhi ye dedo tum mangalo jo agar

Shiva had finished cutting all the vegetables and though it was quite a sight to see, Raavi was grateful for his effort and the love and attention he had put into it. “Aapka aagle hukum ka humko intezaar hai,” Shiva said as he bowed with his head bent in front of her. Raavi ruffled his hair and said, “Kapde dhone hai. Pata hai mushkil hai tere liye, aapne aap ko nahi dho pata par karle try. Hum bhi toh dekhe tera kamaal.”

Shiva mocked glared at her but picked her up in his arms from the kitchen counter and made his way towards the clothes. Raavi squealed, “Shiva kya kar raha hai? Chot mere haath mai laagi hai pair main nahi. Uttar neeche koi dekh lega.”

“Biwi hai tu meri. Haq bantha hai. Aur vaise bhi rani saiba chalke nahi jaate chahe voh tujh jaisi chipkali kyu nah ho,” Shiva chuckled and set her down on the ground near the washing station. He sat down as well and start sorting the clothes diligently, amazing Raavi once again.

She took the time to openly stare at her husband, appreciating the cute frown lines that were forming on his forehead along with the beads of sweat. She was busy admiring him when she heard a shrill like sound, “Aee mere Bhogilal ye kya hogaya meri pyaari si bachi ko? Dekho kitna chot aaya hai isko.” Both Raavi and Shiva rolled their eyes at Maami’s dramatics, amused by her exaggerations.

“Aee Maami tujhe toh bas bahane chaye tha yaha aane ke liye. Ruk tujhe toh main abhi batata hoon,” Shiva said as he ran after Maami with the bottle of detergent. Raavi laughed at the hysterical sight, fully aware that Shiva was just teasing her MaasiMa and there wasn’t any malice in his voice.

Raavi thought back to the day that had brought some improvement in her husband and MaasiMa’s relationship, a day that had been one of her happiest. Her MaasiMa had fallen extremely ill due to the flu and both her Anita Di and MaasaPa had gone on a trip to visit Anita Di’s parents. MaasiMa didn’t accompany them as this was the perfect opportunity to host the best kitty party Somnath had ever seen but fell sick instead.

Dhara Bhabhi had sent both Raavi and Shiva to take care of MaasiMa, and though Shiva had gone reluctantly, he had paid special attention to his Maami once he was there. Everything from checking her temperature to massaging her feet was taken care of by Shiva as Raavi had also caught some symptoms of the flu. He had spent the next several days taking care of the both of them and Raavi would just watch him with tears of happiness in her eyes. She knew it must have been so difficult for him to do this, but he had put his grievances aside to help her MaasiMa.

By the time she was nursed back to good health, Maami felt horribly guilty about her past actions and her behavior towards Shiva. She never thought that her rakshas nephew would ever take care of her like this, but he had proven her wrong. “Ae Shiva idhar aa,” she beckoned him towards her. With one hand on his cheek, she said “Mujhe maaf karde beta. Har ek cheez jo maine ki tera dil dukhane ke liye uske liye main bahoth sharminda hoon. Please apna samaj ke apne iss Maami ko maaf karde.” She folded her hands in front of him and Shiva stopped her from doing so. His hands accidently touched the infamous kangan in the process and Maami took them off and handed them to him. “Aur ye kangan bhi rakh le. Mujhe nahi chaiye kangan, bas teri maafi chaiye aur kuch nahi.”

Raavi had waited in anticipation for Shiva’s response, but she wasn’t very optimistic about his reaction. His next move shocked her to the core as he had pulled her MaasiMa into a hug, even shedding a few tears. “Maafi paray logo se manga jatha hai Maami. Aur aap toh apni ho.” Raavi teared up at his sweet statement, truly feeling blessed that Shiva was her husband.

Shiva had taken his Maami and Raavi both back to Pandya Niwas that night and after Maami had apologized to everyone, Suman herself gave the kangan back to Maami to wear. Raavi was elated because her MaasiMa had finally seen the error in her ways and had gained respect in the family, all thanks to her lovable husband. Another part of her heart had been healed.

haan main bhi ab main na raho aur tu na tu rahe

Upon seeing that Shiva was distracted with MaasiMa, Raavi got up from her seat and made her way towards their bedroom. As she opened the door to their bedroom, she remembered the sight that she had seen one month ago.

Raavi had been busy all day helping Dhara Di and Rishita with household chores and decorations as Navratri was coming up. She hadn’t seen Shiva all day and had assumed he was busy at the store. She had missed his presence and decided to pack his dinner and take it to the store. She made her way to her bedroom to quickly change before leaving but was left speechless at the sight in front of her.

Her whole room had been decorated with red petals and lit candles. The only source of light were the candles yet the whole room felt illuminated and vibrant. She was in awe of the sight and stepped in for a closer look. In the center of it all, she found Shiva waiting for her with a simple yet beautiful rose in his hand.

She walked towards him, and he knelt on the ground in front of her. He took her hand in his hand and placed a small kiss on the back of her hand before handing her the rose. Raavi blushed and asked, “Shiva ye sab kya hai?”

“I love you Raavi.” Raavi stared at him in shock. Not only had he addressed her as Raavi but he had professed his love for her, something she never had expected him to do. “Mujhe pata hai ke tu abhi ready nahi hai aur main tera jawab bhi nahi expect kartha abhi. Lekin mujhse aur nahi raha gaya isliye tujhe bata diya. Main tujhse se bahoth bahoth bahoth pyaar karta hoon aur hamesha kartha rahonga. Mujhe pata hai ke tu aapne aap ko pyaar ke layak samaj thi nahi hai lekin tu duniya ki haar khushi deserve karthi hai. Ye toh mere acha naseeb hai ke tu mujhe milgayi, varna mujh jaise gawar ke saath kon shaadi kartha.”

Raavi kneeled down and covered Shiva’s mouth with her hand. “Khabar dar agar mere paati ke baare mein aisi baat bhi kari. Mein duniya ki sabse lucky ladki hoon ke mujhe tu mila. Pyaar ka pata nahi abhi Shiva lekin mein tujhe bahoth pasand karthi hoon.” Raavi exclaimed while hugging Shiva. Though she hadn’t confessed, Shiva felt serenity wash all over him.

ek duje main koh jaaye hum miljaye aa iss khadhar

Keeping that memory fresh in her mind, Raavi decorated the room just as Shiva had done for her and wore the prettiest sari she owned. She was finally ready to tell Shiva about her feelings and wanted him to feel as special as he had made her feel for the past eight months. She waited for him to notice her absence and knew he would come running to their room out of concern.

Sure enough, fifteen minutes later Shiva came barging into the room and she saw the surprise on his face. She wished she could capture that moment and keep a picture of it forever because he looked so handsome and completely hers. He carefully walked towards her, and she knelt before him, just as he had done so. She grabbed his hand and placed a kiss while handing a rose to him. Shiva was rendered speechless, and his eyes widened completely at her next words. “I love you Shiva.”

He bent down to her level and pulled her into a crashing hug. “Kya bola tune? Phir se bol.”

“I love you”

“Phir se”

“I love you Shiva”

“Phir se”

“I love you, I love you, I love you” Raavi said while chuckling. “Main tujhse bahoth pyaar karthi hoon Shiva, khud se bhi zyada. Sorry ke mujhe itni der se realize hua par ab main jan chuki hoon ke Shiva ke bina Raavi kuch bhi nahi.”

“Tere ye muh se sune ke liye main kitna taraas gaya tha gadheri. I love you so much meri chipkali.”

“I love you too Bhootnath.”

Her heart was finally healed, each part had been pieced together entirely by her husband and his immense love for her.

Hello meri jaans 🤗

Here is the first installment of my song series, please do let me know your thoughts.

This one was a bit out of my comfort zone as I usually don't write solely on cutesy moments but I am glad Maahi encouraged me to write this. The song, idea, and even some of the lines were completely her idea!

Thanks for pushing me Maahi 🤗

Let me know your thoughts, suggestions, and concerns 😳

Until then...
