Lol, Question is not about Aditya’s progress. We have seen that in the past 60 episodes. The question is Imlie’s character development. First she stopped Aditya from telling the truth to Malini by reminding him about his promise to her on holi day and her not wanting to hurt Malini even if Malini was hurting by Aditya’s detachment. Now when Malini knows the truth, she is stopping him from telling the truth to T family by giving him ultimatum she will be with him only if Malini happily moves on with Kunal and if there is no Kunal then there can be no Aditya-Imlie. And since Imlie knows that there is no Kunal, by default, she is rejecting her relationship with Aditya. So bottom line is Imlie never wanted to be with Aditya. Either Aditya be with Malini or be alone but he cannot be with Imlie. Imlie did not spell this out to him but that is what it is as Imlie knows there is no Kunal. Imlie is okay with hurting Aditya and making him live by himself for the rest of his life, but she will not be with him till Malini is not happy. As per Imlie, Malini is suffering because of Aditya and Imlie relationship so there can be no Aditya Imlie relationship till Malini is not happy again. And according to Imlie, Malini can only be happy if she is married to someone. And yeah we are back to the 18th century where a woman can be happy only if she is married. We are supposed to forget that this is the same Imlie who gave a lesson to Rupi di on self love. She can only see Malini’s pain and not Aditya’s ghootan. She happily ignores whatever Aditya is feeling or wants or desires. For her, only Malini matters. Aditya matters only when he is dying. This really makes me wish that Aditya had dealt with Malini and T family by himself and kept Imlie completely out of it. He could have let Imlie stay in hostel, concentrate on her studies, and deal with the mess. That way at least there was hope for these 2. Right now it is a hopeless situation As Imlie will never understand that she is not responsible for anyone’s happiness and that only 2 people involved in marriage can break up a marriage. She could have accepted that even if she left Aditya for good, Aditya and Malini would still separate as Aditya told Malini the truth without Imlie’s support anyways. So she could have asked for more time to tell T family the truth instead of giving Aditya ultimatums. But oh well, 60 episodes ago Imlie did not want the truth out and now also she does not want the truth out so no character development from her side.
