But I also liked the third story in Ajeeb Dastans...the one with Konkona and Aditi Rao Hydari. It was painful to watch in parts because of the mind games they were playing with each other, but it came across as realistic, somehow.

I kind of got a very negative vibe from that story. Aditi was selfish to some extent. Konkona's character was in love with aditi but she still helps her to get a room and also convinces her to have a child as per her husband's wish.... Why? I didn't get it? Bcoz she wanted her job?

Both characters had grey shades, but they were a product of their circumstances.
Bharti was in love with Aditi but she realised they had no future together. So what she did was both selfish and selfless -- she wanted the job but I don't think that was the main reason. She was just being practical.
the love story was a reflection of power structures and atypical that's why it's 'ajeeb'.
