Naah my nani was a gujju from Maharashtra but we have same dish in Maharashtra and Gujarat as well we call it keri ( mango) nu vaghariyu (tempered with curry leaves , mustard seeds, cumin and spices)..a sweet and sour dish..

Yeah I still miss her cooking whenever I used to go to her house during summer vacations Vaghariyu used to be on my list for her to make for exclusively me.. main mom ko bhi nahi deti thi ( it was her favorite too)..🤣 n 2-3 din mein pura jar khatam n my mom used to scold me a lot..🤣
