Because he has never ever connected with his son emotionally.

He has lived in his own doomed cowardly world so he cannot think out of the box . He needs lot of jhatkais to face and feel reality. I dont expect him to change overnight that would be odd. Through out his sons life he was around but never there for him so all of a sudden he cannot change. He also if you notice follows his bhabhi.

I understand Shaan's pov. He knows that women like Aastha and Anokhi wont take Sabherwal's shit and will leave. But what annoys me is that he won't even make an effort to break this cycle. He just made his own decisions based on opinions. He doesnt see what is happening with Shaurya.
