Technically character wise Pakhi is grey, if we actually see the original. The character has to be grey and vindictive. In her pain she doesn't see any one else's pain. She actually couldn't hear Virat's pain in the hospital.

But the portrayal takes the character and the actual crux for a toss. Dont know who is to be blamed actress or the director or for that matter makers who are confused.

I don't know why he can't speak up for her because he's now the influential member of the family, i.e. the sole earner of the family. He has a huge non-confrontational nature. He respects Kaku, Omi and Ninad and can't say anything to them. He tries to avoid confrontation with his family.

One of the major things in this serial, I want this. Virat standing for his Aai. Because in Original counterpart, though Rono was never close to his mom, he stood up for her once, the time didn't come but he stood up

The patriarchal upbringing might have been true; however as an IPS officer, I would expect that someone that intelligent and educated would understand how wrong all this is. Also, kaku RULES that house; how is that patriarchal.

I find it very absurd that Virat is not stern with Pakhi either; he is so soft with her even whilst asking her to stay in her limits. That is why she NEVER learns or listens.

I can see in his eyes how happy he feels when Ashwini praises Sai; when he sees how warm their relationship is and how hurt he feels when his mother says that she feels mistreated or that she lived for so long without any respect.

So why WHY does he not change things? Why does he not take Ashwini and Sai and move out??

Actually, it may seem weird, but if Pakhi was a blank face to us, and if we only knew the character just like a part of story, at some point, we are also supposed to feel sorry for her, slightly sympathetic to her. And at some point, we should have blamed Virat for the misery of both the women, but here virat himself is coming out as victim🤣

Well I think it is because Neil portrays Virat's angst so well; i want to go back and watch those episodes where Virat realises that he actually loves Sai.

I wonder how Virat will feel when Sai actually confesses; says she can't stay without him; do you think he will tell her he loves when she is about to leave once he gets better?

If you ask me as a character, people could have sympathized with her. As she was a girl in love, married to be beside her lover (strange but she did), why because of a stupid promise which the guy made. And now she is lonely, the guy she married has gone away. The guy she loved/loves is moving on with his wife.

She is vulnerable, lonely, delusional and is obsessed with Virat as she does not know where to focus. Her lifes goal is to connect with Virat. She wants his affection and attention (not affair), but can see this has been going to someone else. She feels if Sai leaves she would get that attention, she is not even acknowledging what Virat has said.

This is how i understand the character - It is actually very well written.

But the portrayal has taken it on another level. So technically the person who was at fault has come out as a Victim. 😉
