Really enjoyed the entire execution of the fight sequence & Adi-SK face offđ.
Judgement Day comes for everyone & today was a judgement day for Adi & the judge,jury & executioner was Imlieâs heartbroken father- Satyakamđ.
The epi started with Adi on his bike calling out to Imlie in his mind that he is coming for her & she should wait for him. I think he was under the impression that Imlie has been kidnapped by someone & taken to the lodge. Hence his worry was increased. Imlie also felt that her BS was calling out to her & went out to search for him. Their soul connection was displayed once again todayâ€ïž.
Adi was frantically looking for Imlie in all the rooms of the lodge, banging on thedoors, questioning the guests whether they have seen her. He finally found an unlocked room & saw Imlieâs potli & college bag but no one was in the room. His worry sensors went overboard & then came the glass bottle shattering on his head by the first goon.
BS then became an avenging angel & what dhulai he did of the PD gangđĄ. Unke hi hatyaron seunhi ki peeta- tubelights, dandas, screwdriverđ. Pakad pakad ke aur bhaga bhagake maarađđŒ. The slapping of one of the goons in between was a bit of a comedy added in the sequence. Woh slapathon dekh ke baaki saare goons ko bhi slap hone ki feeling aayiđ€Ł. I feel PD gang needs some training from their Jamai Babuđ. But then came the tubelight smashing from SK himself which was a turning point in the fight. Then BS got beaten by dandas, matkas, tubelights & finally he crashed on the ground & looked into the barrel of the gun & into SKâs angered eyes. He finally came to the realization that he was being beaten by SK & PD gang & Imlie is with SK & not any kidnappersđ„ș.
Cut to Adi-SK face off in the beautiful gulmohar orchardâ€ïž. It was a really pretty setting. With the goons digging a grave for their jamai babu in the background,we got the most awaited SK-Adi confrontation. SK confronted Adi for all the pain he has given to Imlie and declared that he will make him feel the suffocation that Imlie has felt by killing him with suffocation after he buries him into the ground aliveđĄ. Adi pleaded his case by admitting all his mistakes but tells him that he loves Imlie now & can do anything for her. SK never intended to hear any excuses from Adi as he has already judged him for breaking his Imlie & had literally zero faraks to give to his Jamai BabuđĄ.
Adi still remained firm in his stance that he may have lied to the world but he has never lied to Imlie. He has always been truthful to her & not betrayed her ever. But SK told him that Imlie has implied that BS has betrayed her & he will believe even her silence over any explanations from him. Adi got 440 volt ka jhatka hearing that Imlie believes he has betrayed her & then he begged SK to let him once meet Imlieđ„ș. But SK just shot down his request. Adi still pleads with him that he is ready to be killed but let him once meet Imlie & clear her MU. He cannot die with the knowledge that Imlie believes him to be a dhokebaaz to herđ. But SK gives a damn to what he wants & stands firm on his stanceđđŒ. He doesnât even budge when Adi tells him that he has revealed the truth to Malini. What does SK care about Adi finally being able to reveal the truth to his 2nd wife when Imlie has already gone through so much sufferingđĄ.
Then came the final blow to Adi when SK recounted how the Imlie who once used to brighten the entire village with her laughter, fought for the rights of others, had such big dreams in her eyes has completely shattered downđ. He made Adi remember who Imlie was when he first met her & how she has been beaten down into a broken girl who is so sad, who doesnât fight even for her own rights & whose dreams have become irrelevant to her in front of the suffering that she has gone through after her marriage to Adiđ„ș. We had all the important flashbacks that were remembered by Adi regretfully now.
In between Adi did try to stand up for both of them against the marriage that was forced on them by the villagers & how SK was absent then. But SK even shut this down. He does not want to listen to any excuses & tarks. He only cares about the girl whom he has raised since her birth & who has been reduced to a heartbroken girl over the shehariâs deceitâ€ïž. Then came the ultimate dialogue of the day from SK when he said that the chirpy, bubbly chirayya from PD has become a khamosh gudiyan bearing all the injustices silentlyđ. That finally broke down Adiâs determination to fight at all & he became resigned to his fate at the hands of SKđ„ș. Epi ended with that.
The whole epi was dedicated to the fight between a father enraged over his daughter's plight & a husband who has realised the value of his wife a bit late but trying to make amends for his mistakes & give her the love & respect that she has always deservedâ€ïž. I understood both their stance today for the one person whom they loved above all, even above themselves. I didn't mind that SK made the hurting vaar to Adi from behind his back. It was not because of any cowardice like AC but because he is a rebel who uses guerilla warfare tactics to get advantage in a fight. The father was ready to claim the murder that he was committing openly like a prize & the lover was ready to be killed for all the pain & suffering that his soul mate has gone through because of himâ€ïž.
GM & Vijay Verma were both phenomenal in all their scenes todayđ. GM deserves a special mention for selling us the action sequence so convincinglyâ€ïž. Atif & the BTS crew also deserves appreciation for executing the entire action sequence on such a movie level todayđ. We didnât get any interruptions in the scenes today vis a vis Dementor Didi, Ts & Cs ka tamasha & that made the epi even more dhamakedaar.
I will write about Imlie in a separate post because it contains a bit of a rant . I want this post solely for appreciating the goodness that we got todayđ.
