Btw am I in the minority to get irked when people comment on heroine's age and how a hero should be paired with a younger heroine? How more regressive can people get! This lot is ok with fifty year old actors romancing twenty something actresses but if an actress in her thirties is to be considered for a lead role, they cant tolerate it! 😡

Please tell me I ain't the only one who wants pull my hair out of frustration after reading such comments!

no no, I 100% agree with you. People are indeed regressive and narrow-minded when it comes to the leading ladies. That's why the talented actresses like ash, rani, preity, madhuri, juhi chawla stopped getting good roles a long time ago whereas the male actors have been acting with actresses from multiple generations

it's also very common in tv where actresses like shweta tiwari , juhi, urvashi mostly get mother's roles

btw did you read a specific comment that irked you?

I know right! And I think it has more to do with Indian/desi mentality. Look at American TV or Hollywood. Julia Roberts, Jen Anniston, Anne hathway to name a few, nothing stopped them from bagging lead roles in their thirties, forties and fifties. Late fifties even! But if an Indian actress wishes to do so, hell breaks lose! Urghhh. When will our society move past the 'age' tag for women? People are so gender biased. 😔
