Word about his overcompensating PDA with Dementor Didi in his valiant fight to maintain his commitment to Dementor Didi. Committment is a big thing to Adi. He basically went ahead with his marriage to Malini because he had made the commitment to her after 7 long years of dating without any commitment.

But after marriage with Imlie, he could never go back to being the emotionally detached person that he once was who was just ticking the checkboxes of his life plan. All his emotions & vulnerability got bound with Imlie & that would never allow him to ever live a life without her.

As for the forum....lol yes, I only joined it after the gunshot epis.....this was a very different place back then with many people criticizing Imlie for still considering Adi her husband after the gunshot track even as he told her he can't give her the rights of a wife.....lol....people had presumed that after that track, Imlie will "set Adi free from the marriage and then he will realize his feelings and choose her"😆......I was the minority voice back then that spoke about how Imlie still considering him her husband was consistent with her belief system and that Kismat convo in the hospital was lovely.

The threads and the forum have come a long way since, needless to say😆

Yes ... the forum was so bare before. I hardly see any previous forum members except a few who partake in the discussions now. Most of them left after the Adi-Malini marriage I guess even when they knew it was bound to happen & that it was the mistake that was going to complicate everything.

Oh yes I have read all your previous threads on the forum so definitely read about people not being happy with Imlie still considering Adi her husband after the gunshot epis. People are just not able to understand that Imlie is an independent girl but she is also very rooted to her traditions. That has been her since day one when she was afraid of getting married because she knew she would commit herself to her marriage completely & if she doesn't get the correct life partner, her dreams of studying & becoming an officer would never come true.

SM & Destiny hence made the correct life partner i.e. Adi bound to her as soon as he came into her life. Yes, there have been hardships in her life with her marriage with Adi but no one can deny now that he is her true partner who will keep her focused on her own goals throughout all the difficulties that she will face❤️.

As Lodestar said, there is plenty of value in rewatching the old episodes that are pure gold.

I for one cannot get enough of #6,7,8,9 and Imlie/ST in those was looking so innocent, vulnerable and super cute.. no wonder that Adi was attracted to her, that was visible clearly. There is a subtle change in that Imlie from #6,7 to what we see today.

The attraction was clearly present not that he would acted on them were it not for Kismat and SM interfering in his life. 😆

Next has been the 2nd PD track and it shows their relationship growing and them understanding the other even more.

I started stalking the forum after the gunshot episode 😆 as I wanted to discuss the show and was happy to find familiar faces in this forum too. 😃

Now after his sach confession, there is no way Adi is going to let Imlie go away from him.. uh..uh.. NO... how he will manage to keep her with him while the other things have to be fixed, is yet another journey.

I have been mostly a silent reader in this forum bcz I love analysis written by our forumwasis especially about adilie...rest I don't care much.

About upcoming tracks...it's still a long way to go before they finally unite... but as long as they both accept each other, rest of the world doesn't matter much for them to be happy... abhi to sirf DD ko pta chala hai Sach ...vaaki sabka reaction baaki hai...

Also agree that Adi started to show his care & worry for Imlie more even though it was coated in his daant post gunshot epis & Dementor Didi was the first one to notice it. But she ignored it till it was not affecting his attention on her. But when it started to somehow reduce Adi's attention to her then she started to have issues with it- since the epi where Adi received his journalism award & accidentally showed it to Imlie first. After that she was more alert of any changes in Adi towards Imlie.

This reminds me of the epi when the family sees all the married women jewelleries that the hospital had given them. That time Dementor Didi was so angry on behalf of Imlie at her speculated husband's abandonment of Imlie. Then Imlie was a naive 18 year old girl for her who is so good. How dare someone abandon her😡. And look at her attitude now when it has turned out that Adi was the husband who had abandoned Imlie. Now there is no sympathy or empathy for Imlie. Now she is a vixen who has somehow bhatkaoed Adi from his perfect match i.e. Dementor Didi. She has turned out to be such a hypocrite really a disappointment on all fronts.

Didi was always just a token display of whatever emotion she thought was required for people to admire her. At the Ts it was always about being the opposite of Aditya because she needed to be the right one always and Aditya wrong. That is how she has managed to get Aparna on her side. At the end of the day everything is just about her.

And Imlie is the exact opposite. She does not ask for a thing which is why she gets pretty much everything from Aditya.

@bold: Word.....one of the most interesting shifts in Adi that I wish would get explored better in this story is with regards to the emotional awakening inside him. Before Imlie happened, the only show of conviction Adi ever made in his life was with regards to commitment or keeping his word.....the fact that he was literally being held at gunpoint and all he could think about was remorse for not being able to keep his word to Malini😆......rather than thinking about his family, his love for Malini etc. etc.....things that a normal person would think about when facing death😆.....but Aditya babu's only thought was about "I won't be able to keep my promise".....lol.....that incident alone showed the way he was able to compartmentalize his life since he was almost laser focused only on duty/obligation.....because he had never experienced that level of emotion for anyone that would become bigger than anything else for him in life.

Marrying Imlie, despite the forced circumstances tested his baseline code in life of honoring commitments....cuz marriage is a commitment and he had married Imlie whether or not his free will was involved.....that is why it was a real test of his fundamental nature and it totally threw him for a loop....cuz his subconscience recognized and accepted that commitment even as he fought it consciously to honor the PREVIOUS commitment he had made to Malini.....he wanted to honor the word he had given her even though he had already been tied into a bigger commitment with Imlie....that is where it got so hairy....and then it's a whole seperate issue that his original reason for giving that word to Malini was also one out of obligation rather than being decisive vis a vis happily wanting to marry someone.....he always talked about marrying Malini like a task on a checklist and never showed any particular eagerness to start a new life with her😆.

Imlie then became a living symbol of the commitment that he was daily trying to deny in the pressure to keep the word he had given to Malini before going to PD....and that is when his kashmakash really started because alongside these stark truths was also the fact that Imlie was just such a LIGHT unto herself shining into every corner of his life😆....so it was a struggle to suppress two things from that point on....a) The subconscious sense of commitment towards her as his wife and b) the emotions she evoked in him that no one else had managed to evoke before.....he tried damn hard to push her away from him through beratement, blame games, accusations.... a whole host of things because he did not want to face the shifts that had already happened within him and were escalating with every moment she continued to be in his life.....but who can outrun destiny ultimately.

This is why that gunshot track moment was so stark cuz these two things collided in that moment....he was faced with that stark truth regarding the extent of his emotions for her when he had to face the prospect of losing her.....face the prospect of a world without Imlie.....and then that moment when removing her sindoor/MS etc. pretty much unraveled him.....the two things he had been trying to outrun for so long - the fact that she is his wife and then his emotions for her....he was forced to face them both in that track. But once she recovered, he retreated again to his default understanding of life which is about keeping your commitment...and his conscious commitment was still to Malini at that point.....that is why another round of desperate PDA had to be initiated to convince HIMSELF that this is the right thing to do, this is the only commitment he will keep in life.....which ultimately proved to be another futile attempt to outrun destiny and only created a bigger mess in the long run.

Which is why when he began his realization, both those elements started to converge for him....he realized his true emotions for Imlie almost simultaneously as he accepted that being her husband is his truth....these two things were almost always interlinked but he kept trying to deny one or the other at any given moment.....lol only to finally be compelled to face them in their full scope.

He has had to learn the very hard way what emotions actually are and you cannot stop feeling emotions once you have felt them for the first time in your life.

Since the very beginning of this story, people have been making presumptions about their relationship no matter how CHASTE of a relationship it's been. First time was in PD....they were stranded together for one night in the rain, spent a totally chaste night together in that hut and were instantly labeled characterless over that....till date, NN passes cheap comments claiming that Imlie did her "muh kaala" that night. After that it was AC making insinuations for the longest time that got more explicit in nature off late too. The irony has been unbearable all this while that two people who barely even held hands for 100 epis were being maligned so viciously by so many people.

Today, the great "high class" Malini didi finally managed to outdo both NN and her own mom....I didn't even know that was possible😕.....I have watched many bizarre things in my many years of ITV watching....but what I saw in the beginning scene of the show today definitely rendered me speechless for a bit. Unfathomable that a woman can make such an "innocent" face with such a bechaargi wala bg score and ask such a GHATIYA question from her own husband/man she's known for 7 years. And what was the question? Ki did you sleep with Imlie since you consider her your wife.....wow.....the man just told you he's married to Imlie, in love with Imlie, he told you he wants to nibhaao the rishta with Imlie and all you care about is whether or not he's slept with Imlie?😕 This is what "love" boiled down to for Malini? The man is saying he doesn't want to be with you but you still want explicit details of the levels of intimacy he's reached with Imlie? My god, I didn't know such open crassness was possible in a woman who tries to act so innocent.

Wow, I echo your sentiment here that after seeing everything on ITV, sometimes somethings just make you speechless. This was me too when I heard Malini’s question. Is this normal though? Is this what a women should concentrate on when the man has straightaway told you that he loved another? Shouldn’t it be what, when and why? I really wanted to hear the why from Aditya but why to Malini ne poocha hi nahin na socha. I really wanted this conversation to be about Aditya side of the story and why he fell for Imlie and what was lacking their relationship with each other but woh to milne de raha 😆

Instead what we got was, I do not even know what to say here. Was it her way to justify herself that Aditya was a cheater and make herself feel better or a way to undermine the sacrifice that Imlie has made for herself. Like Imlie had a normal married life, but Malini was bein cheated. The girl she called sister, she did not even think of how much pain she has gone through but even now it was all about herself that she did not have the haq. One would think that she would question Aditya on the marriage that is why did he spoil both their lives. I am just shocked or may be i just cannot relate to her thinking. Even if I put it to shock, shouldn’t the common question would be that “ where did I go wrong” or “ what went wrong” for him to move on from their relationship. This was definitely not what I expected.

I think I was more shocked because we have witness the restrain and the sacrifice that these two have followed for Malini’s happiness. Hence it made it more cringeworthy to hear it but not once did Aditya refer or said that he got impressed with the beauty. It was simple that I fell in love so shouldn’t she be asking question around that. It really brought out the fact that how beautiful their relationship , how organic the development was, how pure their thinking was that the question just took me back.

As Malini tries to justify Aditya love for Imlie with this cheap question like imlie being young or it just an attraction, the more she will be shocked and surprised on hearing that it was only Imlie’s inner beauty and values that has won Aditya over.

Malini is not designed to get the connection between Aditya and Imlie because she does not understand what any of those intrinsic values mean. She has always been about the exterior, be it with the dikhava like turning the bedroom into a fire hazard with a thousand candles, organizing cake cutting for Aditya’s award or wanting to go out on dates to rectify a relationship. She does not get forbearance or penance. Imlie does and that is why people reciprocate when they come to know her.

Imlie always thinks about herself in the end whereas Malini cannot think of anyone else ever.
