I was unable to put down my thoughts yesterday on the crass and vile accusation from Malini, questioning the intimacy between Adilie.
Lovely analysis from AY, Fary, Lodestar, MuteButton, Srushti and the others.
A marriage to be lasting and steady needs a number of ingredients like mutual respect, affection, admiration, support, companionship, laughter, understanding apart from the physical intimacy. If all the above are present then the physical intimacy is enhanced and forges a deeper bond between the couple. After a time, when the physical attraction has waned or lessened, it is the other ingredients that are required for the marriage to last.
What Adilie have is all of the above but for the physical which will happen in its own time. They have forged a bond that is based on trust, admiration, principles, bringing the inner child in the other and understanding as we have seen. For Malini, the word marriage means to have sex and that is not the only aspect to the marriage. She wanted to know if he was unfaithful to her physically as she knows he was emotionally unfaithful to her. Her thinking is so skewed and she has never understood him SERIOUSLY, in the 7 years of dating. Her words when he confessed his love for Imlie was ' I have shared my dad, my daadi, my knowledge, do I share my husband too?' This is deeply crass coming from a professor who is urbane and educated. Goes to show that for all the gloss that is presented to the world, the inside is dirty and unclean. Kind of like 'The Great Indian Kitchen'. OBVIOUSLY she knows little of Adi as she was quick to condemn him for so much as looking at someone like Imlie/young girl, she is defo not underage but made it sound like he was a pervert, sullying their soulful connection and pure love.
Malini was shocked by Aditya's display of concern towards the news of Imlie missing. She has seen the restlessness once before but then she did not know the reason, due to Imlie's absence and neither did Adi. He was candid that she left bcoz of him.She cannot guilt trip him anymore as he has become free, when she confessed to having a phantom lover. Such a study in contrasts between their confessions and the convos that followed. Not once has Adi asked her a prying question about KC whereas Malini is leaving no stone unturned in getting as many details as possible, stooping low to soothe her bruised ego/heart. The mithi ki dhool smells like chandan or has become chandan, while the chandan has turned to ashes.
AY - on BS ki dhulayi, nice prediction and congo on winning the cooler. 👏
I think most of us have written the same, expressing it differently and just wanted to share mine. 😃 Don't think there is a scene or line that has not been analyzed and was having a good time going through this thread. Made my Sat afternoon.
Have a nice weekend ladies and looking forward to Monday's Big Bang Dhulayi of AKT.
