OS: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WAS AND IS.
Just a random one short here. This is set up after a few months of their wedding.
Both Keerti and Farhad were fed up of the relationship between Raghav and Pallavi. It definitely was blooming with a few up and down here and there but it was rather slow in their liking. They both knew that this love-hate couple was falling for each other but was too dumb to notice that. Keerti stomped her foot on the floor as she paced up and down in her room. Farhad who had been standing at her door for quite sometime was confused of this wierd situation.
"Yeh dono na bilkul hi stupid hai." Keerti complained.
"Ab kya kardiya Anna aur bhahi ne?" Farhad asked being confused.
"Kuch kar hi toh nhin rahe hain. Dekho tum bhi jante ho ki Bhai ko Pallavi se pyaar ho raha hai aur even Pallavi, woh bhi bhai ke liye kuch feel karne lagi hai par yeh dono hai ki usko samajh hi nhin rahe hain." she spoke with frustration.
"Yeh baat toh sahi hai. Maine toh Anna ko bhabhi ki photo admire karte dekha hai apne phone main pata nhin kitni baar." Farhad added remembering those times.
"Wahi toh. Pallavi bhi jab dekho baithe baithe muskurati rehti hai. Amma ko bhai ke liye samjhati hai." Keerti spoke sitting down on her bed.
"Par yeh kab tak chalega?" Farhad asked.
"Kuch toh karna padega aur jaldi hi. Mere paas ek idea hai!" Keerti gave a mischiveous smile.
The plan was simple. Farhad had to lure Raghav towards the kitchen area somehow where Pallavi and Keerti will already be present. Keerti will try to pull out the possessive side of Raghav by talking about the guy he supposed hates the most even if he had never met him, 'MANDAAR'. According to Farhad, Raghav had been super possessive over the mention of Pallavi's dead ex-husband. He hated even the mention of him and hence it was best to enhance the feeling so as for him to accept his feelings. Keerti asked pallavi to help her with some cooking of a maharashtrian dish, a dish Mandaar loved soo much.
According to the plan Farhad asked Raghav to grab him a glass of water faking of some cough and sickness, he had made sure that no servant was around so that Raghav wold go their by himself.
Keerti pulled Pallavi into the kitchen as planned and started small talks.
"Thank you so much Pallavi meri itni help karne ke liye." Keerti smiled at her.
"Arey tu meri dost hai aur teri help karna toh mera farz hai na. Achcha waise se Kanda poha kiske liye bann raha hai?" Pallavi asked grabbing all the ingredients needed.
"Meri ek dost hai college main. Uska birthday hai, bas uske liye soch ek surprise le jaun." Keerti lies.
"Kya yeh dost koi ladka hai?" Pallavi giggled.
"Aisa kuch nahin hai. Ladke na bass ek time waste hote hai life main specially pyaar ke mamle main." Keerti turned to grab a glass of water for her. Looking at the perfect window for the name, she spoke further.
"Waise ek baat puchu kya tumse?" she asked making sure that his brother was coming.
Raghav was frustrated at all the servants being unavailable. he wasn't paying them to have tea parties. He made his way towards the kitchen to get a glass of water for Farhad when he heard her giggle. Damn he loved that sound. He could see her siloutte through the translucent curtain and that saree looked beautiful on her. He could see her talking to Keerti while she cooked something.
"Han pucho na." he heard her say as he walked ahead towards the door but his steps halted when he heard a specific name.
"Tumhe kya Mandaar ki yaad aati hai?" Keerti asked unsure of the reply.
"Matlab?" Pallavi asked being confused.
"Matlab kuch bhi ho, kuch ghanton ke liye hi sahi par Mandaar tumhara pati tha, tum dono ne phone par bhi baatein kari toh kya tumhe uski yaad aati hai." Keerti tried her luck agai.
"Han aati toh hai." Raghav felt a pain in his chest as he heard her reply.
"Par aai baba ke liye zyada. Unka beta unke paas ab nahin hai na par agar hota toh woh kitne khush hote na." the pain decreased a little with the support answer.
"Han yeh bhi hai par tumhe kabhi usse pyaar nahin hua?" Keerti asked.
"Pata nahin. Keerti Mandaar aur main kabhi aise mile hi nhin ek dusre se aur jab bhi humne baat kari toh bas yahi socha ki hamari life kaisi hogi. Hum kaise apni family ka dhyaan rakhenge." she smiled sadly remembering her friend. Yes Mandaar had become a friend to her in the short span of life they had known each other.
"Par kabhi kabhi sochti hoon ki woh aaj hote toh sab kitna alag hota na. Kitna kuch socha tha na humne." she added while Keerti looked at her brother who stood at the door with his fingers in a fist. The plan was working.
Raghav was hurt thinking that his wife had planned with her ex-husband about how they would live their life and with him, well they basically had nothing planned. Jealousy panged in him as he entered the kitchen openeing the fridge door with anger. Both the women looked at him with amusement with the looks he gave to Pallavi. Keerti aware of the situation made her way out of the kitchen excusing for a fake phone call.
"Kuch chahiye kya Ghamandi rao?" Pallavi asked.
Raghav walked towards her moving closer and closer with each step. Pallavi looked with wide eyes.
"Arey yeh kya kar rahe ho. Maine toh bas yahi pucha ki tumhe kuch chahiye toh nhin." she stammered due to the close proximity.
"Main wahi kar raha hai." he felt the anger leave his body as he bent ahead, closer to her, picking a glass from the counter top behind her.
"Glass. farhad ko pani chahiye tha." he bcked away giving her space.
"Achcha" Pallavi got disappointed with the distance between them.
"Tumko kya laga?" Raghav asked in a mischiveous tone understanding that look from her.
"Kuch nahin" she stammered again.
"Waise Saree ka dukaan tum bana kya raha hai?" he eyed the bowl behind her.
"Are yeh. Yeh woh Kanda poha Keerti ko apni kisi friend ko dena tha. " she replied stirring a spoon in the bowl.
"Smell achcha. Chalo tumko koi kaam aata toh hai." he bickered. he need a small fight to get that previous conversation out of his head. To know that even they had something special, their thing, between them.
"Oh hello mujhe sab aata hai aur kanda poha toh maine specially Aai se seekha tha woh Mandaar ka favourite tha na." she spoke unaware of the storm she had stirred.
Raghav turned her around in a single fix looking deep into her eyes.
"Uska tumko sab pata hai." he asked holding her waist.
"Kiska?" she asked being confused of his sudden behaviour.
"Uss Sanki sasur ke bete ka. Uska sab favourite baat pata hai tumko." he asked in a serious tone.
"Han. Pata toh hoga na shaadi hui thi hamari. ragahv yeh tum kya baatein-" she spoke but stopped midway as she realised how he felt. damn he felt the same way she did whenever she saw a women eyeing him. He was jealous.
"Pyaar karta tha tum usse?" he asked with sincerity.
"Nahin." Pallavi nodded her head in a no with a smile to which he relaxed.
"Woh tumhara dead ex hai. Ab nahin hai woh iss duniya main aur mereko aisa hi mara hua pasand hai woh toh usko aise hi rehne deneka. Ardhamainda?" he replied with a chuckling leaving her as he made his way towards the door.
"Dahi chawal aur phirni, yahi hai na tumhari favourite dishes." he stopped as he heard her speak. Turning around he saw her smiling with arms folded.
"Aise kya dekh rahe ho seekh rahi hoon Amma se banana." she grabbed the kanda poha and made her way out of the kitchen butstopped right infront of him.
Raghav looked at her with amusement while Pallavi patted her back in her mind to finally have Mr Ghamandi Rao shut.
"Toh Mr Ghamandi Rao mujhe tumharo favourites dishes bhi pata hai. Shayad ek baat tum bhul gaye ho toh main tumhe bata deti hoon, Mandaar mera ex husband tha lekin tum mere husband ho aur rahoge isliye apni jealousy aur possessiveness main energy waste karne ke bajaye sahi jagah use karo usko. Ardhamainda?" she stormed out with a ischiveous smile while Keerti and farhad high fived eachother from a distance and Raghav well he finally had a big smile on his face. He knew nobody could ever torn them apart.
