It was in Bengali one too. But that doesn't mean Pakhi fed Virat's ego. Being embarrassed isn't being ashamed everytime. In general too that biwi ka pallu comment isn't taken well by both the genders and it's not about who said, it's about what said. Even if this comment was made by Karishma, he would have felt embarrassed because the comment itself is a degratrory one.

Because Pakhi is vile. Biwi ke pallu is a degratrory term, used to describe how a man follows his wife anytime anywhere. Call me partriarchal, even as a girl/woman I won't agree that someone calls my husband a wife's puppet. It doesn't have any link with a husband and wife's intimacy or private moment. It's linked with how a husband behaves in public, people use this as well Joru Ka Gulam as a degratrory remark. Pakhi wanted to degrade him in the public, Infront of his family member, that's why she used this term.!

What’s the big deal if he felt uncomfortable with the way he was taunted about his inability to walk . Anyone in his position would react if they are made to feel like a handicap . He is a human and he can get effected by other words . It doesn’t matter who says it , it’s what was said that mattered here .

Bold ; I don't want to use this term but yes, Pakhi wanted to make him feel he's unable to do any work of his own, he needed a person for his work. Even if I was in place of Virat, I would have also felt that I've to be dependent on someone for a small matter like going to a room..

A sick person is insecure sometimes, and Pakhi increased the insecurity by using the degratrory remark

He knows what Pakhi’s intentions her, she has been vocal about her feelings for him and hatred for Sai, she wants Sai’s place in his heart so why is this comment even affecting him? He knows his truth. She said it to create yet another tint of distance b/w them however momentary - in public and she was successful. He knows how she taunts and why she taunts Sai. There was no need for that reaction. Anyway that’s just my POV. You’re entitled to ur own.

Let's agree to disagree but if this comment even would have been made by KARISHMA or any FAMILY MEMBER, it would have AFFECTED Virat the SAME. Because the comment is a degratrory one. None of the genders need not to feel submissive when they're in an equal relationship.
