You said it right that Anu’s torture has taken a big toll on her and she herself has always believed that babusaheb only belongs to Malini so Anu’s words has just stamped on her thoughts that he can never be hers despite all the things he has done and said to her, so Anu’s tube light ka war has awakened fierce imliya but has managed to put a break on her thoughts about babusahebs love rather put it on a reverse gear lol, hope she is able to see his love again and is able to understand her emotion sickness too!

Haha you're welcome.....yes, Imlie's stance is a bit confusing and contradictory right now and the only way to make some sense of it is that she needs a big time DIRECT realization of what Adi means to her.....all her thoughts right now are about how she thinks Adi may not really love her, she has no haq on him😆.....so I think the confusion that will get cleared is that she is the only one he considers to have a right on him and yehi cheez Imlie bhi accept karegi I think in the confession along with realizing what he means to her.....woh ek JOLT of clarity milega on seeing him almost dying in front of her eyes toh saari confusions ek second mein udd jaayengi😆

And most importantly - they calmed Imlie down. I mean she will still feel dejected considering she is going through a lot but if this, clarifying perspectives, is not what parents are for, then what is the use of having them in your life. Mithi and SK stabilized her for a bit and did not drag her down the tangent of my father is an idiot saga.

Good you did not watch it when it came on. The daughter is bad already so we all are used to it. But the scene with the mom was more awful I thought. Those lines they gave her were beyond crass.

I loved that bit too....SK was so direct and to the point....amazing that the so called "backward" village waale still remember the purpose and importance of education more than city waale who want to kill themselves over a man.

I also liked that Imlie also isn't backing down from her education, she just wants a break from the city😆....she wants to get the education on her own terms and around her loved ones....her PD family. Yes, obviously she hasn't thought this through fully 😆.....she's forgotten about the restrictions she'll face in the village and won't get the quality of education she deserves....but we can forgive the poor girl that lack of foresight right now given the torture she's been through and still appreciate that she is atleast trying to PLAN her life without being hung up on a man validating her existence. This has always been the crucial difference that many people seem to miss about Imlie simply cuz she gave respect and value to sindoor....but that never stopped her from still being independent and planning a life beyond Adi.....unlike the "empowered modern woman" who is still professing love to a guy she feels cheated her, made her "dusri", etc etc.

I'm glad I forwarded the AC scene.....better for my sanity to take atleast some break from the constant assault of maa-beti ki crassness.

Honestly that was one of the most heartwarming scenes to watch, it was a much needed scene and it needed to be said aloud that SK was the only father Imlie had.

Dev is at most a sperm donor and I'm to happy and proud of Imlie for saying that she doesn't want a relationship with the man who betrayed her mum, she just wants a name.

I'm not surprised about stubborn she is being about that, especially after staying with Anu who kept throwing this in her face.

I just hope we get to a point where Imlie doesn't even care about the name and proudly declares to all that SK is her father if she's ever put in a situation like the one Anu put her on.

Not that she has to explain her self to anyone anyways tbh.

It's nice to see that biological parent is not being shown as the only valid option. It's actually those who are there for us every single step of the way that matter than those whose just donated sperm/egg.

Blood is not everything.

Just look at SK and the way he is standing up for his daughter who's been in a whole other city and the fire of revenge you can see in his eyes for the way Adi treated her.

Whereas Dev who she lived in the same house with couldn't keep her safe from his abusive wife or couldn't even take care of her for more than half a day. He's more concerned with whitewashing his sins indirectly to her than actually provide and care for her.

Who would leave their daughter in such a household knowingly without barely a worry.

Look at SK teaching his daughter that she doesn't have to leave her education for a man and that she should move on instead of wallowing.

Whereas we know what Dev-Anu taught theirs when it comes to the affairs of men.

@bold: I hope that happens too and she doesn't change her stance again after learning that Dev is the sperm donor aka biological father🤔.....but anyways woh toh jab hoga tab dekhenge.....for now, it's nice to see Imlie focusing on the fact that the man cheated her mom and he needs to answer for the injustices against her mom.

Word on SK always teaching empowering values to his daughter about putting education above everyoen else and not letting go of her dreams for a man..... unlike what the losers in the city teach their daughters....a study in contrasts.

How's the PD track betting pool coming along?😆

MB is on board officially 😆 We all deserve some peaceful episodes without Didi 😆 so I am keeping positive thoughts 🙌🙌

Just caught up on the epi and really enjoyed the Imlie-SK-Mithi scenes :)

There is such an earthy, rooted vibe to their interactions always....a directness in the way they all talk to each other which is so refreshing after many episodes of twisted torture by she who must not be named.

Imlie currently is reeling with disillusionment simply over being told that Adi has gone back to Malini.....We should set aside all the obvious evidence of him still being least interested in Malini cuz AC's harsh words have managed to make Imlie question all the things she thought she understood.....so now she's musing over whether the marriage has validity in Delhi (worth noting that she never dwelled on the validity before also....her stance was always about faith and that is what she conveyed to Adi also....ki rishta toh ban gaya hai....maannna na maanna is up to each person's perception), she's musing about whether Adi really loved her or he was just taking pity on her😆......

All of this is coming from a long buried sense of uncertainty that she never really confronted before. The uncertainty was there even when she used her faith to get her through every dark phase.....she held on to her faith in the face of all uncertainty and she kind of still is.....but she just feels tired now and the uncertainty is making her feel off balance.....that is what I understood of her conversation with Mithi and SK as they question her about the status of her marriage with Adi. Imlie as usual doesn't blame Adi and goes back to the root cause of the marriage being a forced one where nobody bothered to check if Adi already had someone in his life. They keep showing the FB of Adi putting the sindoor on her and giving her saath ka vaada.....lol....and for some reason I guess Imlie has now reached the conclusion that he isn't going to give her saath cuz he has gone back to Malini? lol......not like I'm really trying to look for logic in all this cuz I can see that a sense of contrivance is there to set up the confession/reunion for next week......but it does seem like Imlie is feeling a sense of loss over not being able to be with Adi (even though she herself left his house and he still kept asking her to come back but she was the one who refused😆).....and the lack of being with him, not being able to communicate with him is taking a toll on her sense of certainty/faith.

Anyways, Imlie's vakaalat/confusions over her Babusahib aside😆, the heartwarming trio from PD was lovely to watch together. The thought that I kept coming back to was that there are some people who are just not destined to travel the paths assigned by society and they will always face a rough road because of that.....I was seeing that manifested in the way Mithi told Imlie that SK is your father....the only man who's had his hand on your head since the day you were born.....this is a beautiful relationship which has no recognition from society so it will always face questioning and derision since it doesn't fit into a box. This series of events started with Mithi but ofcourse it is impacting Imlie's life too.....yet somehow watching mother-daughter together in that moment still having a sense of dignified resolve about them just reminded me why I watch this show and which characters/scenes I watch it for.....it is these bonds that rise above the boxes that society tries to slot them in and still maintain their convictions, their beauty.....this is when the show is at its best. That is what SK-Imlie-Mithi are.....the most heartwarming family in this show :)

Good one . Thanks so much for opening up this discussion on the episode. I was kinda waiting for your post

@bold 1 - just caught up as well- and absolutely loved the SK- Meethi- Imlie scenes. I loved the semi- poetic way they have of speaking- “ can a plant ever be angry with the heat and light that gives it life” etc . There is so much warmth in their interactions 🥰

But before that The Adi- Malini scene with her feeling ‘ghutan - kinda had me a little bored and I paused for a bit and only got back to it now. But actually kinda liked the way it played out - that for friendship’s sake he does the courtesy of asking “We will do whatever you want to do”- but he is also basing it on her ‘truth’ as he sees it - as wanting to be with someone else. But when she says she wants it all back the way it was before, he can’t even take one step with her in that direction. It’s almost a knee- jerk reaction coming deep from within.

@bold 2 - I see this as the opposite way the pendulum is swinging in the Adi Lie relation ship. Adi kept pushing Imlie away from him until one day she just left and then when she did (baat khatam, rishta khatam) he felt the loss so keenly it drove him mad. Those scenes were so powerful that I think they are trying that again. So Now it’s the opposite direction- Imlie has been doing the same to Adi - pushing him away in her sense of ‘not wanting to hurt anyone’ ‘ do the right thing’ etc. but now in her moment of utmost dejection at C house, where she has borne so much and has been subjected to such hatred and horrific abuse , her logic is clouded now - I think she may be even a little upset that Adi wasn’t there to step in and save her from the abuse at C house. And when he finally listens and doesn’t show up for her- (aaj ke baad hum tumhare peeche nahi aayenge) she feels that loss keenly. Her realization of how much he means to her will be a lovely thing . Hope they do it justice.

As for Nishant’s illness- it’s a distraction for the Ts- something else to focus on. Though by the looks of it there will be two patients at T house next week - one sick and one injured 🤕😄 Actually counting a Imlie- that’s 3 but don’t think Imlie will be going to T house for a while.

It was a beautiful scene!!..I guess it was dil ko sukoon moment for SK when Meethi verbally accepted that he is the only father. Along with that, It really showed how parents do not need to be blood related for butare someone that you can always rely on and can provide that perspective and support which is needed in that moment where everything is falling apart.

I really like how Meethi did not question Imlie on "Why did she lie" because she knew the answer for it but on her own beliefs which she had seen. There were no accusation, or blame here. It was just simple request to understand her dilemma or her decsion on the path forward. There was nothing of the past, just the discussion do the future road of their daughter. Mithi was questioning the emotional path, SK more practical like the education. It was really nice see that though all three are in turmoil, the conversation was about uplifting each other and looking at the silver lining unlike the other family that should not be named.

I agree that its Imlie's uncertainty that is making her question his love.. Plus AC questioning her parentage is making her think that she is not enough for him to fulfill his vaadas... I also feel that Imlie herself has never come to terms with her own feeling for BBSB and hence she kept pushing away. Till date, he has always come back irrespective of her words and now that he is gone, she is thinking that he gone and hence the promise of saath is gone with him.... Previously she was fine with his behavior or seeing him with Malini because feelings were not involved and now when her feelings are involved, its becoming very difficult for her to handle the pain that he is left her and is going to fulfill promises to someone else (conveniently forgetting that, that is what she is asking him to do).... One way to look at the sindoor scene is, may be she goes back to it because it kind of give her the positive vibe in midst of her negative feelings due to AC that BBSB will not break his promise but I might be off here.

Hopefully Mithi gives the perspective that she needs to finally accept that its not easy to say but very difficult to do especially when the heart is involved. Aditya has been telling her that but now when she herself goes through it, she might understand what he was trying to explain to her since they came from PD. 😊

@bold1: LOL yes, he basically made a formal gesture of support to Malini but he obviously didn't mean he will grant WHATEVER she wants....lol he meant it as a supportive friend while the demand she made was that of expecting a husband again and so he couldn't bring himself to take a single step towards that cuz it's just not inside him now....he is husband to no one but Imlie now....and yes it felt like a personification of what Adi had told Imlie a while back ki usse nahin ho raha any gesture towards Malini even if he tries😆.

@bold2: Yes, it does seem like they are trying to set up a parallel to make Imlie face the same acute sense of loss that Adi had felt on her leaving him.....that had also been a culmination of Adi having tried to push Imlie away for a long time and finally regretting it a lot as part of his realization.....now Imlie may realize something similar in the aftermath of having pushed him towards Malini for so long but now realizing that she really can't live without him.

Adi faced the sense of loss with seeing Imlie walking away from him.....Imlie is going to need a bigger jolt I guess of literally seeing him almost die in front of her in order for her to wake up to what he means to her. Yes, she saw him be really ill before with the snakebite also but I guess this will be a much more severe situation in terms of a near death experience so that will finally jolt Imlie into accepting what he means to her and what she means to him.

TFS, they were tolerable trio indeed. At least acknowledging the fact he was there for 20 years to support in PD.
