I think there is potential for Tiger 3 and Pathan to work at the box office. Aditya Chopra seems to know how to package these films. Even Hritikh went 6 years after Krrish 3 without a Blockbuster until YRF's War. Salman's only Blockbusters in the last 5 years (Sultan,TZH) were also YRF films!
I doubt Pathan would work even if it's packaged well. Audience is now rejecting Salman as an action hero, so I don't think they would like SRK doing it either when they are of the same age and it was never his forte anyway.
Both Don movies had highly stylized action sequences during it's time of release, but it only impressed his fans and not the general audience.
General audience has never accepted SRK in action.
I'm not a Bhai fan but nothing is going to happen to him. He has enough money to keep on producing films starring himself. If films flop theatrically, he can continue releasing directly to OTT. Netflix and Amazon pick up any garbage and have sustained careers of actors who've lost their stardom.
There's no point doing easy and pat comparisons with Amitabh because we live in a very different time when there are a lot more options.
Salman will never become a character actor because he can't act and his ego is too big to play supporting roles. He can easily make a deal with a streaming service and directly release his movies there like Adam Sandler did in HW. It pays a lot of money and there is always a small dedicated audience that watches new movies on OTT regardless of how good or bad they are.

Salman will live forever 😆
He has paid his dues ❤️
My predictions for the audience Word of Mouth of Radhe: The audience will say that it's a maha bakwaas film. Also, I predict that the film's iMDB rating will be approxmately 2.1/10.
Holy crap! The IMDB rating is sitting at 2.0 currently. Just earlier in the day, it was sitting at 2.1. I can't believe how accurate this was 😲
4.2m views on first steam on day 1 🤣👏
Idmb ka kiya karna h🤣
Honestly, who cares about the views? Even if the film released on Eid holiday at the box office, it would have gotten a huge opening.
The problem is the quality of the film. As a die hard fan, do you not expect better quality of films from Salman? He is literally pissing on his fans with films like Race 3 and Radhe.
All you gotta do is see the YouTube videos. The comments on Twitter. Even some diehard fans of Salman are upset with him because of how poor of a film they thought Radhe was.
It's clear that if the film released at the box office, the film would've crashed after it's opening and only damage Salman's goodwill further. It would have been a BOX OFFICE DISASTER!
lmao who care about all this

Because if making stupid but somewhat successful movies keeps him in the game than his star still shines. An perhaps a better movie will come. It’s if he stops making movies we should be worried
Bhai
Here's what I don't get about the IMDb reviews - reading the comments, it's obvious that many of them are not Salman fans. They're calling him a non-actor, criminal...the typical hate he gets. So are you telling me that they paid to watch one of his movies? Even if they watched a pirated movie, why bother watching a movie of a person you hate so much.
