YOUR Birthday (yes, it is an important celebration for us too)😆

We dont celebrate any of the days. Children's birthdays, Christmas, New Year, and the biggest celebration is usually reserved for our anniversary. That is the only day we really look forward to and celebrate. (celebrated 20th anniversary this May 😃)

Children's birthdays also are usually low key, only family. Celebrated my daughter's (she was the 1st) 1st birthday, 5th birthday and 10th birthday--(she is 16 now). No parties, only family get togethers.

The boys are 5 and 4 respectively and have had no birthday parties for them still, only cake cutting with family.

Pro Tip:

Always keep the children's birthday celebrations low key, sets the bar really low for expectations later 😆😆

Especially when they are really small, they dont remember and neither do the other 40 children and 50 parents you end up inviting, all money spent is waste, no recall value 😆😆

Rather wait till their teens and give them the liberty to take their friends (give an exact number of friends, otherwise the whole class is invited), and pay the bill, works out cheaper for all 🤣🤣

I personally have not done even this for my daughter, saving money is more important who cares about other teenagers whose only response to everything under the sun is meh...🤣
