Shah Rukh offers to do item song for Karan's Dostana

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is fast becoming the king of item songs as news reaches us that he has agreed to help promote Karan Johar's Dostana.

A source informs, "There was a time when most movies had a special number from a sexy gal. Many Bollywood beauties have entertained the audience with their item numbers. But times have changed. With most of the heroes going all out to have a great physique, filmmakers include item songs by top heroes. And who better than Shah Rukh Khan?" Producer Karan has talked with Shah Rukh and both have agreed on the type of item song.

Dostana is being directed by Tarun Mansukhani and features Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. As well as Shah Rukh Khan, fellow Indian actress Shilpa Shetty will also be seen doing an item song. The film is expected to be released later this year.
