This movie helped me deal with the breakup of a 7 years old relationship with a jerk of a person. The song Kinare changed me and gave me the motivation of living life alone. I will always love Queen and Rani's journey. But I don't think if I watch again I will like it anymore all because of Kangu. I would rather prefer to not watch it. Yes it sends a very good message, specially today when relationships are so fragile and breaking so quickly It teaches Self Love like No one else .
I liked how in the movie Rani decides to travel alone and discover self love and after that leaves the guy who broke her heart, such a sweet cute movie giving this strong independent vibe, it reminded me of english vinglish a woman who don’t speak English just like Rani didn’t speak English but of course Sridevi don’t leave her husband but he learns to respect her after she becomes independent. EV came out 2012 so it followed its footsteps in my opinion. But queen was feel good movie when I watched it, now I’ll avoid any movie with kangana, I don’t like her vibe lately
I Loved the ending and also the song kinare where he comes to meet her but she goes to meet her friends at the concert even though she's not much interested in, but she went for her friends and the best part was when everybody left she turned around and kept enjoying herself, that is my kind of self love❤️

The movie didn’t age well though. It put me and the entire crowd that I was watching with, to sleep. We all woke up after the movie and realized that the movie was better in the theater. This was years ago right after the movie was released to the OTT, we were all so excited to watch it again as we loved it in the cinemas.
OT: Yes the ending was befitting to the premise of the movie. I remember having to control the urge to clap.
Agree. First time I watched the movie, it was so nice. I watched it again with my friend and was really bored the second time. I still think Kangana acted very well in the movie and she was def the highlight.

💯💯
This film definitely didn't age well. It was my most favorite film the year it released. I watched it twice in theatres and again on TV. But years later I tried sitting through it twice on Netflix and both times had to fast forward many scenes. Probably the reason why it doesn't even come on TV very often. Quite weird though since it was a really satisfying watch the first time around. Guess theatre audience and giggles made all the difference.

Queen will always be my favourite movie. Rani was so naive but she accepted people around her as they are. The character rani is completely opposite of what kangana in real life i.e vicious & cruel. But that’s how a true actor is. Sridevi was a introvert in real life but onscreen she could convincingly play a fun loving extrovert character. Acting comes naturally for some people.
I don’t agree that the movie hasn’t aged well. People who loved the movie first time still love it, like me and many of my friends. Queen is a very special movie for me as it had a great impact on my life. Earlier I would never go alone anywhere. After this movie I started going to restaurants & cafe’s alone, even movie theatre I went alone. It was so liberating. I don’t have to depend on my friends or anybody if I want to go somewhere, I can enjoy my own company. In 2017 I even went on a solo trip.
I have a list of movies which I watch when I am feeling low like queen, the secret, eat pray love, etc
I still have not watched queen
Now when I rewatch it,I find that italian chef character very out of the blue and unnecessary. What was the need of that character?I actually liked her n Alexander together. They were cute😳
