Dear Destructives,
You may be wondering as to why I am calling y'all "destructives." Well, I'll be blunt. Apne aisa kaun sa kaam kiya hai jo aapko creatives ka darjaa diya jaye? You have managed to take a beautiful show and ruin it with this stupid cat and mouse game between Armaan and Riddhima. The entire month of March was nothing but a train wreck. And April is turning into another March!
Shayad aapke liye ye sirf ek show hoga, lekin hamare liye, this is a way for us to escape the tension that we face from school, college, work, friends and family. Aapne toh hadh karli! Hamare problems kya kum thhe, jo aap bardate jha rahe hain? I mean really, dont we already have enough to worry about w/o you making life worse for us? I agree that things like this do happen, but not to the extent that you are showing and even if it is to that extent, no decent creative team would show it for this long!
Koi bhi lardki itni bhi bewakoof nahi ho sakti jitni aap Riddhima ko bataa rahe hain. You have totally ruined her character! It took 6-7 months for you to build such a beautiful character and it took one month for you to completely ruin it! The main protagonist is no longer loved by the masses because of what you have done to her! To the common man, she comes off as someone who no longer has a heart! Why would you do this?
Shayad aapko andaaza nahi hai ke aapke paas kitne achche artists hai. Someone as senior as Monish Behl (who is a FANTASTIC artist) being reduced to fighting with an intern is ridiculous! He has one objective-to constantly remind Armaan of how a doctor should keep his professional and personal life separate when he, himself is shown to be completely in love with Padma DURING his work hours! He is too good for something like that! If you don't want him to interact w/ the interns, show him with patients! This is a hospital drama, after all! Young doctors as well as senior doctors face challenges in a hospital! In DMG, you haven't tapped into Monish's acting abilities-not even one percent! After the A/R confession, you can show Armaan and Shashank bonding! Sasur and damaad joining forces! Im getting excited just thinking about it. Think of all the wonderful moments they could share with one another. Shashank has never had a son to bond with! Why not show the positives of that?! Fathers and sons learn from one another and I am sure that Shashank can teach Armaan much more than his abusive biological father ever could. Armaan ko kabhi baap ka pyaar nahi mila! Kum se kum sasur ka pyaar toh milna chahiye.
Karan and Shilpa are also being completely wasted. They are fine young actors! Aside from showing them together once again, you can also show how they interact w/ their patients and their other doctors. If you need story ideas, go to a hospital and observe! Every day, miraculous things happen in a hospital. There is never one day that is the same. Show Armaan and Riddhima in love together and as doctors, not as Devdas and Jhaansi Ki Rani.
Sonia, Ayaz, Pankit, Sunaina, Mayank, Shilpa (the actress who plays Padma) aur Dhristi/Aayushi…again, fantastic actors! These people are being completely over-shadowed by the Armaan and Riddhima fiasco! Anjali-Atul, Rahul-Muskaan, and Keerti-Shubhankar love stories can also be delved into. They don't have to be just supporting players. They are also doctors who have professional as well as personal stories that can be examined!
Aapne Nana ko wapas bula liya hai. Then why not use him to get A/R back together?! Im sure ke Nana bhaang ke ladoo logon ko khilane ke sivay kuch aur bhi karsakte hai! Nana is a fantastic character! Use him!
Eventually people will get tired of this and will move on to other shows. There are several other shows to watch at the 8:30pm time slot and people will move on!
And for the love of God, dont ruin Shashank's character. People love him but now that he is picking on Armaan, people are starting to have their doubts about him too!
Aggar aap chahte hai ke log aapka show dekhe, toh Armaan aur Riddhima ko mila dijiye--jaldi. Warna, is show ka wahi haal hoga jo Sanjeevani ka hua thha. Aapke TRPs ko koi nahi bacha paye ga! Hum aapka bhala chahte hai. Isi liye humne yeh khat aapko likha hai.
The show is yours and you can do what you want with it but I can guarantee that your TRPs will sink and you wont have anyone else to blame but yourselves.
And another thing that I think you should know, people have gotten so annoyed with DMG that they have started writing their own FanFics--meaning their own version of the story. Including me. And can you believe it? Log aapke show dekhne ke sivay, hamare FanFic pardna zyaada pasand karte hai! Kuch logo ne mujhe ye bhi kaha hai, ke woh show ab dekhte bhi nahi! Sirf FanFic pardte hai.
The ball is in your court now. Hamari maange puri kijiye warna aapke show ko koi nahi bachapayega. Ya toh aap apna kaam sahi tarah se kijiye, ya phir hume--the public ko aapka kaam karne dijiye. Im sure we'll do a much better job.
