Thank you for this lovely post! Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!

Same, Sandy.....nothing can beat the high of those previous PD track ke epis.....lol we were getting such lovely scenes almost back to back😆.....and this one in particular just had so many layers to it....ek taraf Adi's growing bond with Mithi as a contrast from the last time he'd been in PD and was so apathetic with Mithi.....and then his subconscious feelings for Imlie beginning to manifest with moments like "hum bhi tumhari plate se khaa lenge"😆......

Happy Mother's Day to everyone from my side too :)

Thanks all for your lovely comments. Much appreciated & I hope, this pandemic also allowed for all of us to bond with those we love, including our mothers & fathers. ❤️

Its also great to actually include him in this thread wherein, Meethi viewed & trusted him in regards to Imlie especially those PD scenes. I don't want to compare it to that with his relationship with Aparna, since it felt more generic & filled with expectations, in comparison to Meethi who actually trusts & respects him.

Aww such a lovely thread!❤️ Happy Mother’s Day everyone! 😃

Imlie-Meethi are one of my fav mother-daughter duos in fiction! Such pure souls & beacons of light they are both. Not harbouring any resentment or ill-will towards others in spite of continuously being mistreated. But they are not ones to endure quietly...I love that they stand up for themselves in a dignified manner without tearing other people into pieces.😊 Both also possess a quiet strength and self-sufficiency that makes them truly independent women.

Their bond is one of the sweetest! Friend-like more than parent-child.😆 One of my fav scenes of them is in the initial episodes when Imlie teases Mithi by saying she should say bye to SK and Mithi hits her playfully.😆

Love the understanding between them too because Mithi is not blaming Imlie even after she’s lied to her for so long. She understands there must have been a reason and is willing to give her Aditya Babu the benefit of the doubt too seeing the love in his demeanour for Imlie. Showing she has a good understanding of relationships and knows that what is seen on the surface is not always true. Imlie has inherited/learned this samajh of relationships from Mithi.

@bold: +1....very well said. This is what adds a lovely layer to Imlie's development as a character....the struggles her mom has gone through to inculcate the values that Imlie has grown up with that have managed to hone her into such a strong, sorted individual even in the face of so much trauma.

The very fact that Mithi has managed to empower Imlie to grow so much beyond the limitations of her circumstances.....it's a really wonderful thing to watch. These two are the epitome of positivity in the face of so many setbacks.....unlike the other mothers in this show who are either psychotic negative characters (like AC) or totally neglectful of their own children (like Aparna and Adi).....Mithi stands out as the only truly fierce and protective mother in this show totally focused on her child.

Btw Myrah, thanks for tagging the actress playing Mithi....I never knew her real name......a round of applause to her for acing every shade of Mithi in this show so well👏

Yup! It is a case study onndjfferrnt types of moms in a way as we have discussed before.. it really enforces ke padha likha Hona resources ka hona and all doesn't matter what matter is the belief system the connect a mother and child share how they mold them.. aise toh aparna also had instilled good belief system in adi but then itna kaafi nahi hai hai itne se job done nahi ho jaati and iske beyond she has failed somewhere too I'm understanding her own child and treating him like koi laawaris all the time.

So beautiful ❤️

Meethi is my favourite mom in this show, the one who purely loves. Gave her the best she could despite struggling each second herself. Meethi deserves the world, waiting to see her reunite with her gudiya and to see a smile on her face again.
