The plot of the show is about a woman proving that she doesn't need to keep staying in an unwanted relationship to survive. If the divorce would have been cancelled, it would send a message that ultimately a woman should forgive a man if he repents, however wrong he might be.

The point is not to ask for forgiveness, but to not make the mistake at the first place.

Vanraj didn't have a one-night stand. I don't justify it either but that is an actual mistake and not a consensual EMA. He had a full-fledged affair with his colleague, while taking his wife for granted, enjoying benefits from both of them and would have continued if he wasn't caught. Plus not to forget his emotional abuse and gaslighting to Anupamaa, which is unforgivable even without an EMA.

Few weeks of pampering Anupamaa assuming with full-entitlement that she will return doesn't compensate for so many years of abuse.

Achha... In that case Rajan ji should have kept casts in check... I love Rupali as an actor and ever since her Monisha days... But the fact is still that she kept encouraging 'AnuRaj' chemistry on her stories too! And as a actor who plays this character I was irked by her promotion of this pair 🤢... Like okay... Show off screen masti with Sudhanshu like Aye Kya bolti tu... But onscreen jodi of AnuRaj is worst to say the least!

It was such a foolish thing to do and I had actually lost hope for divorce in the show!!! Specially when a practical woman like Rakhi tried to unite these two. They foolishly dragged the whole divorce track and kind of even re-establish AnuRaj's chemistry too! 🤢

The divorce should have been top requirement of the show.. And makers should have constantly shown flashback of Anupama's suffering because of Vanraj so that they could have related to her decision rather than sweet moments between two!

Sooo happy to see I was wrong they are divorcing now! Finally!!!! Hopefully they will now focus on Anupama's growth and well being

Yes maker prefer story over chemistry that is why divorce track is finalised but isse divorce finalised karne se pehle producer writer ke beech bahut discussion chala aur finally yeh decision liya gaya ki anupama aur vanraj ka divorce dikhana hai kyonki yahi divorce hi story ka main part hai. Makers ne yeh decide kiya agar divorce nahin dikhaaenge to main plot se distract ho jaayegnge
