Though I stay in Navi Mumbai, am from Solapur.

My Atya still stays there. Every summer vacation, we used to be there. There's a famous park near which we get panipuri, bhel, kachori and all ( and btw, all these tatse very different from the bambaiyya bhel and panipuri or kachori) and solapurs special pav chutney.

In my school days, panipuri was rs 2.50 for 6 puris.

Bhel and kachori about 3 or something. Pavbhaji was for 15-20.

And during my college days, Kunja vihar Vada pav in thane used to be the size of half sub. And tasted completely different. Jambhli naka had a sandwich place and veg cheese toast sandwich costed rs 15

Even near the SNDT College, Churchgate, veg masala cheese toast would be max rs20...and khau galli ke toh kya kehne 😀😀

I almost forgot the gajar juice at Churchgate station was rs 5 and we always wondered who drinks gajar ka juice???? 😕

I did some digging around, turns out Energee has been around for 72 years😲🥳.

मला अजून काही गोष्टी आठवल्या.

ब्रेड (तेव्हा wibs या कंपनी चा मिळायचा)..

फुल्ल ब्रेड 5 रुपये आणि half bread 3 रुपयाला मिळायचा.

अंडी बहुतेक 8 किंवा 10 रुपये एक dazon होती.

केळी सुद्धा बहुतेक 8 किंवा 10 रुपये एक डझन मिळायची.

Kiss me toffe होती ना ती बहुतेक 50 पैशाला मिळायची.

आणि तेव्हा ना एक sweet cigaret पण मिळायची. लाल colour चे पाकीट असायचा आणि त्यावर भुताच चित्र असायचा. म्हणजे तो danger चा मार्क असतो ना (भुताची कवटी😆)

तसं काहीसा होतं.
