Aan Baan aur SHAAN Saberwal... What's up with him?

I had added this para in my other post.. But thought this could be a separate discussion altogether

Shaan was being typical Saberwal man when he said... Anokhi invited Shaurya in her life... And I am so happy that Astha defended Anokhi there saying it was mainly Shaurya's decision to go after Anokhi. But Shaan being Shaan is in denial that she aka Astha should have stopped and managed things when Shaurya went to Kapurthala after Anokhi because he had 'warned' them of consequences

Dude... Astha had warned you... You should have acted! What the heck!!

As for ShaKhi and who went after whom... Doesn't matter...

Both of them always mattered to each other. For Shaurya Anokhi's opinion about him was highlight ever since Bebo Kitty instigated comparison between him and Astha from Anokhi's POV (which was definitely a lie) but he never admitted it till he realized that her view can change because of whole riot thing and he had to get back up there in her eyes. At the same time Anokhi trusted him, but riots sequence kind-of broke that trust..and ever since she has been shown to be doubtful about Shaurya's action till sorry sequence... Including rustication sequence and time and again Shaurya had to come out to either prove himself or change himself.

After listening to Shan today I thought he has again started 🥃🍾🍻

He was saying such stupid things. How was Astha going to stop Shaurya. He is the one who is living in the same house with Shaurya. How can he blame Anokhi or Astha. He has completely failed as a father and now he is blaming others.

Astha gave him back nicely.

How was butchering for Shaan?

Shaan ka kuch nahi ho sakta. Many days back someone said in a reply to my post that they needed a scapegoat to move the story forward and Shaan is exactly that. Don't know what the actor saw in the role when he signed the project. The OG Shaan was far better. Atleast we could understand where he was coming from.

Today's episode reminded me of the library scene when he blamed Aastha for leaving and not accepting his bade bhaiya's magnanimity. He again blamed Aastha for supporting this alliance. I think he has always prioritised his own blood over others. He prioritised his brother over Aastha and now he prioritises Shaurya over Anokhi.

Despite Shaan becoming a Devdaas in love, I have started feeling that it is Aastha who believes in love and the power of love more than him. Even though Aastha does not proclaim her love in high sounding words but she believes in these idealistic concepts like love, sacrifice and principles. She was the one who sacrificed her career for her love, then her love for her duty towards her parents and then her rights on her child again for her love for Shaan. She believes Anokhi's love can change Shaurya, she also believes in Devi's deep love for Shaurya despite her being so manipulative. Then again if she was not so idealistic she would have never been able to help Anokhi in the first place. A practical person would have sent her back to her father because a lot was at stake for Aastha that day.

Shaan on the other hand perhaps helped Anokhi in the hope of getting Aastha back in his life. He may love Anokhi but never over Shaurya. And now when Shaurya is missing, Anokhi seems to be the most probable reason. He may not be a misogynist like his brothers but he feels ideals can be sacrificed for the sake of peace in life. That is why he is okay with a loveless marriage between Shaurya and Shagun than a marriage full of love between Shakhi. Because despite the love there is bound to be differences of opinion. Anokhi's entire life might be spent in fighting with Shaurya and his family to change their mentality and still it would not change. We have a saying in Bengali "Sukher cheye Shosti bhalo" meaning "peace is better than happiness" and Shaan perhaps believes in that.

I wrote a long post before seeing your tag.😆

I always love Shaan Aastha scenes. I loved today's one also but their talks are always inconclusive. Hamesha gol gol ghumte hai. Good to see Shaan acknowledging Aastha's pain but not so good to see him making Anokhi the scapegoat.

Still the actors are so good I always look forward to their scenes. Hope they reflect some more on their past. And Shaan supports Shakhi because he is getting a lot of brickbats on SM. Though I am still okay. He is deeply flawed and that makes it interesting. And people can be such hypocrites in real life even though they are not bad people.

To be very honest, I still had Shaan to be more supporter of ShaKhi than Astha.

But him blaming Anokhi and Astha for ShaKhi's closeness is purely absurd to me. And that's the last thing I expected.. Unfortunately I am sorry to have called him sensible when he showed reluctance towards ShaKhi's alliance when Astha first mentioned it. But today he seemed some guy who is easily influenced by other people.

On the contrary, I was little disturbed by Maa ka milaap yesterday assuming these two might support each other... But I loved how Astha out rightly blamed Devi for all the problems with Shaurya...

But makers have always tried to make Astha like be the forshadow for good things and favour right... Hence her assuming Anokhi's love will change Shaurya might sooner or later be proven right 😆 chahe Anokhi ki Saberwals se pala hi kyun na jhelna pade...

Today I felt Shaurya definitely inherited his blaming traits from his father. When something goes wrong blame someone is the concept of these two, well whole Sabharwal family. 😔 When he saidhe warned others, I was seriously like, when dude? You were in denial Mr. partial Amnesia.

Don't know what is planned for him in future but seeing him today I seriously thought bete k pyaar mein he has lost his mind.

Though he did not has any malice against Anokhi but he sure blamed her and top it all believes she is lying.😡 He really needs some hardcore reality hit to make him see the truth around him and I hope that happens soon. Don't want to hate him. He is one of my favourites😞

He didn't have malice against Anokhi but his tone was definitely rude against Anokhi.

Shaurya and Shaan are typical Saberwals. They have this blame game characteristics from each other. Though sometimes blaming can be taken lightly, but others they can have serious effects.

Shaan and Astha have their own set of fans and respect for not being soo negative as Saberwals and being decently positive parents for Shaan and mentor for Anokhi.. But there is some level of butchering for both Characters.
